General Settings

Under general settings tab, there are several options which help you to set up the site. The below section describes how each of these can be usedL
1. Header: You can add a custom logo for your site.
2. Homepage: You can select top contents of site or enable/disable homepage blog section
3. Featured area: There are main 3 types and you can select the one of your choice
4. Titles: You can select custom text/social icons. Several social icon options are available for selection
5. Sidebars: Here you can select the sidebar position on your site (Left/Right). Also you can create custom sidebar as per your requirement.
6. Miscellaneous: Here you can select the footer area enable/disable,copyright text,etc.

Style Editor

Business Canvas style editor has lots of options and gives you full control to set up your own css for customized look of the website.
1. Settings:  You can select the theme style and also add your custom css code in css snippets field.
2. Body: Here you can select the background color, image and fonts for general page styling.
3. Drop Down Menus: Here you can select background color, image and fonts for drop down menus.
4. Top navigation bar: Here you can select background color, image, fonts, borders and paddings for top navigation bar.
5. Header: Here you can select  several options like borders, backgrounds, header styling,etc.
6. Featured area: For featured area, the there are options available to change the border, padding, colours, etc.
7. Breadcrumbs: You can set breadcrumb font, color etc.
8. Main content area: Here you can select  several options like borders, backgrounds, header styling,etc.
9. Blog Posts: For blog posts we can change the look of the text. Background, blog heading font, color, content color etc
10. Sidebar: You can set styling for sidebars.
11. Footer: You can select the options as per your requirements to change the look of footer area.
12. Forms & Comments: You can change the look all the forms, comments boxes available on your site with the options available here like borders, background colors, text color, padding,etc.

1. Activate Impactpress theme. Impact Press menu will appear in admin dashboard.
2. Go to Impact press and then Impact Editor.
3. You will find 3 boxes, Edit Template, Save Template As and Delete Template.
4. Enter the name of your template under Save Template as box and save it.
5. Now click on ‘Show Template options’. It will get expanded and will show all the options for setting the template.
6. In template options, fix the structure for header, footer and sidebar.
7. In Title area, select a logo image for logo of the website.
8. Give the color to main background and content background.
9. In active widget area, you can select In header, After header, Before footer or other available widgets as per your need.
10. In Dashboard->Widgets,custom sidebar gets created automatically as we have selected these options from active widgets areas.
11. In these custom sidebars, place widgets, which you wants to display.
12. From ‘Impact Hooks’ you can add different hooks to your template. Hooks can carry html and javascript.
13. You can also add css in ‘Template Custom css’ from template options.
14. When all settings are done, save template.
15. Create new page or edit existing page. Under Impact Page Options select impact template as ‘Yes’ and select the particular template.

And thus your page with unique layout is ready.

You can resize the call to action box only when you are using it in page content, as per your requirement. You need to apply height and width property to div(#main_content .action_box) of call to action box. If you are using call to action box in any of your sidebars, then resizing will affect the page layout.

The default Styles included in theme to reuse, were created using only the style editor.

Videos on your homepage, especially on the featured area has a much higher impact and boosts conversions more than having sliders! Considering the short attention span of your visitors, it’s a must use technique to engage and convert visits to sales.

Considering this business canvas has an inbuilt option to choose your featured video to appear on the home page along with appropriate background image of the video.

In Business Canvas theme, this additional option is available name as “Video modal”. It is available in the section “Static Featured Area”(from the Featured area).

On selecting “Static Featured Area”, the “Video modal” option comes up.

To set up the video modal on your featured area of your website:

• Go to Theme Options->Featured area, Select static featured area.
• After selecting this, you can select the image to appear before the video starts
• Select “Open video modal” option.
• Enter the “Video Details”.  Give the background image if you want.
• Save the option.

After this is done, on the website, the image selected for the vidoe will appear in featured area. On click of the image, the video will start playing.

Using the Admin Panel of Chimerathemes for BusinessCanvas, you can add videos to your website on the featured area.

How to add forums , Topics and Replies with Appbbpress theme
1. Go to Dashboard->Appearance->Themes. Activate “Appbbpress theme”.
2. Go to Dashboard->Plugins. Activate “bbpress” plugin.
3. “Forums”,”Topics”, “Replies” will get added to Dashboard.
4. Go to Forums, create new forum, add desrciption and save.
5. Now go to “Topics”, add new topic and desription. Select forum under which this topic should come from right side’s “Forum” dropdown box. Save it.
6. Similarly add the topics and replies and visit the forum and topics.
