If you want to buy a new mouse it will cost you $99 for a customized one or if you want to send yours in it will cost only $30 bucks. Not bad actually. For those who have the latest iMac, ColorWare is offering to colorize the whole system as well. From the iMac itself to the Magic Mouse and Keyboard – you can ColowWare the whole system. You can also send in yours or you can just purchase it from them outright. To buy new will cost you $1899 or $499 to send in your own. No matter what you choose, it will certainly be a centerpiece in your home, as if the iMac couldn’t get any sexier.

Lost the Complete Fifth Season Dharma Initiative Orientation Kit

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen customizable Bluetooth headsets, a while back Sony Ericsson came out with a headset that could be personalized with faceplates. Now Bluetrek has come out with the Tattoo Bluetooth Headset which is designed to be customized with adhesive skins. Other then that, the headset is pretty ordinary, but it does weigh just 7.7g, has an 8 hour battery life and up to 10 day standby battery life. It also features Bluetooth 2.0 and can work with VOIP. Hands on with the MSI All-in-One Touch PC AE2220

The new MSI AE2220 is one of the latest All-in-One PCs to join the multi-touch crowd. What makes the AE2220 stand out is its affordable price tag, (the base model goes for as low as $699, yet it still manages to be a capable multimedia machine. The system sports a 21.6″ 1920 x 1080 touchscreen that takes advantage of Windows 7’s multi-touch gestures. The glossy screen is very nice in person with vivid colors, and watching videos on it was impressive with very smooth playback, even with 1080p video files. Multi-touch gestures also felt easy to operate on the system’s touchscreen. But in particular, I was especially impressed with the fact that the system sports HDMI-in, which means that you can hook it up to your PS3, Blu-ray player, etc to be used as a display. Not enough All-In-One PCs are doing that, though it looks like it might be becoming a trend.

The system chassis is pretty sleek as you would expect from an all-in-one, and it’s also available with Blu-ray. Other standard features include a card reader, 6 USB ports, a 1.3MP webcam, 2 speakers with SRS sound for a total of 10 watt output, and the NVIDIA Ion chipset, which makes the system powerful enough for HD video playback and basic gaming, The system is also Energy Star compliant so you can feel green when you plug it in. Under the hood MSI bundles some custom software including a neat touch enabled app that lets you organize a carousel-like interface of shortcuts to all your favorite programs. MSI also provides users with special webcam software that lets you create special effects that can transform you in to someone else as you chat.

At Amazon you can currently pick up the base model of the AE2220 for just $699. This system comes with with a 2.4GHZ Dual Core processor, 3GB of Ram, and a 320GB hard drive. Unfortunately, some premium features like Bluetooth, and an eSata port are notably not present in the AE2220, but overall, the system offers a lot of value for the money and a lot more performance than your average $500 nettop, so for those who can shell out the extra few hundred, it’s absolutely worth it.

Textminator Arcade Game Makes Players Text Against the Clock

Being that there are world text messaging championships, we shouldn’t be all that startled by this arcade game, yet we still are. Textminator is a coin op arcade that puts your texting skills to the test. Players must race against the clock to text the words and phrases that appear on screen. There are two game modes – arcade and race the clock, as well as single player or two player competitive mode. Inside the arcade machine is a 26″ LCD flat screen monitor and in place of traditional arcade sticks are toy cell phones. Netbooks don’t just come in an assortment of colors nowadays, many of them also stem from collaborations with designers. The latest such collaboration is from Dell and designer Deanne Cheuk who has previously been commissioned by companies like Nike, Swatch, Target, MTV, American Express and the New York Times for her illustration and art direction. She is also renown for her graphic ‘zine “Neomu”. A Best Buy exclusive, the Limited Edition Dell Design Netbook by Deanne Cheuk, features a kaleidoscope design and of the 5250 available, each one of them have been individually numbered. You can pick up this designer netbook for $379 at Best Buy. Since there are 5250 are available, there is a pretty good shot you should have some luck getting one.

I might be a blogger, but I still love magazines. A little while ago we gave away subscriptions to MAGHOUND, a new service that can best be described as Netflix for Magazines. For a monthly fee as low as $4.95, you can get 3 magazines delivered to your mail box. But what makes MAGHOUND special is the fact that each month you can switch around which 3 magazines you receive. So if you’re someone who doesn’t like the idea of 12 month magazine subscription commitments, and you appreciate having variety, MAGHOUND is for you. Alternatively for $7.95 month you can receive 5 magazines or 7 for $9.95 a month.
When you price out the MAGHOUND base plan of $4.95 for 3 magazines, that totals to about $60 at the end of the year, which is about the same as 3 average magazine subscriptions. So you can’t quite say that MAGHOUND’s pricing is cheap, but it’s definitely reasonable. Mostly what this service is offering you is choice and convenience.

When you log in to your account you are offered a selection of magazines to choose from. The membership section also breaks down all of your magazine choices by month. An approximate delivery date is also displayed so you can get a feeling for when the magazine will arrive.I first signed up of the service in late August and it took about 4 weeks for my first two magazines to arrive. My third magazine didn’t arrive for almost two months, but it was National Geographic traveler which ended up being a bi-monthly magazine. However I could have opted to substitute with another magazine during the first month.

Overall, I’m enjoying the MAGHOUND service very much, it’s a good value and the system is very easy to use. And I think it will allow people the opportunity to try out magazines that they ordinarily wouldn’t have. I also think that MAGHOUND has the potential to breathe some new life in to the ailing magazine industry by allowing people to break free from subscriptions. My only complaint is that while the selection is pretty robust, there are a couple of my favorite reads that still aren’t offered in their catalog. However, MAGHOUND says that they’re continuously working on expanding their selection of magazines. It’s also worth mentioning that MAGHOUND is currently offering a great sweepstakes where folks can win a trip to New York and a $1,500 shopping spree.

FunMail iPhone App Transforms Tweets and Text Messages into Images

FunMail is a new free app that has just been released in the Apple AppStore. The app lets users type in a message, which the app then transforms in to a fun image. Users can go ahead and send that image as an MMS, or they can use it to make a Tweet with, or even leave it on a Facebook wall. But Funmail doesn’t just transform text into just any image, its “Media Brain” automatically presents, cute, comical or irreverent images that relate to the message. Media Brain uses the advanced text analysis system that is driven by the Semantic Media Project which collects content in real time from Flickr and Creative Commons sources, and they also encourage people to contribute their own FunMail images so that the FunMail image library is always growing.

Monster and Dr. Dre Club Beats Launches at Best Buy

Yesterday we got a chance to check out the launch of the Club Beats section at the brand spanking new Best Buy in Union Square (which took over Circuit City’s old digs – may it rest in peace). Best Buy has teamed up with Monster and Beats by Dr. Dre to be one of the first big box retailers to offer not just its typical electronic and technological wares but also a source for hard core DJ’s to come and spin some tunes, mix tracks, and test out DJ equipment such as turntables, headphones, and software. I watched as some people were getting down with the DJ equipment that was on display and folks, if I dared to have made a comment about DJ Hero they would have probably sneered at me. This area is for the true music enthusiasts as well as those whose career is music. The section is also outfitted with Monster headphones from Beats to Lady Gaga as well as other gear such as a stray Dyson vacuum cleaner – well the Dyson must have been a mistake. So there is something for everyone. If one of these Club Beats pops up in your local Best Buy I suggest checking it out, if not for the music then to just watch DJ’s have at it with the equipment – you never know you may just be watching the next DJ AM spinning without knowing it.

Now that the iPom is out, Speakal is ready to launch its next novelty looking iPod dock the miSoccer. This speaker is shaped and designed to look like a soccer ball that Beckham would probably toss around. The miSoccer supports all generations of iPod’s and iPhones and even has an AUX input jack to connect a TV, gaming console, or other music sources. The controls circle the top of the soccer ball and its output is about 25+ watts. This is not something to replace your stereo with, but this is certainly a cute dock to put in your kids room or a dorm room. The UMID mBook isn’t a new UMID device, but now it has made an effort to become female friendly. Originally available in black, the $449 device is now also available in a very girly pink version. In case you’re not familiar with this MID device, it has got a 4.8″ WVGA Touch screen LCD with a 1024 x 600 resolution, a 5 hour battery life, it’s powered by an Atom Processor, and manages to fit in a QWERTY keyboard while still managing to weigh just 0.69lbs. So if you were thinking of getting the girly-girl in your life a netbook for Chrismas, you might want to wow her with the mBook since it’s super purse friendly.
