I was giddy with delight yesterday at Digital Life when I got a chance to sneak a peek at the latest holiday line-up from Hasbro. iPhones and GPS systems aside, I think this is was downright the best thing at the exhibit yesterday.

Kota the Triceratops:
The size of this thing in person is as lifelike to what I assume the real one was. In comparison to size with Pleo, Kota’s head is about the size Pleo’s entire body. Utilizing animatronics, this life size baby dino moves and makes noises by the simple touch of your child. He is even big enough for your 3 year old to hop on board and ride as you lead him around with the hidden handle in Kota’s head.
Available sometime in Fall, Kota will be a little costly at $300 but I think well worth the Jurassic park experience in your home. (more…)

Verymeri is a site with t-shirts designed by kids for kids. They have a nice amount of designs available on simple t-shirts. Sayings range from “Kindergarten Rocks” to drawings of dogs or rocketships. They also feature contests to be a an honorary verymeri designer. Want to let your child’s inner Donna Karan or Marc Jacobs out? Then why not let them practice at verymeri. Your child can create their own t-shirt by just clicking on the “Design a Tee” tab and then hold down their mouse to draw on the blank white canvas on the website. Ba-Ba Baby Elmo Review

Ba-Ba Baby Elmo from Fisher Price isn’t technically a hi-tech gadget but it sure is darn cute and I have to say it’s techie enough for any 2 or 3 yr old. As I wait very patiently for Elmo Live to make his debut, I got a chance to review Ba-Ba Baby Elmo which is just as adorable.

There isn’t much setup involved, just undo the twist ties from the packaging that he is in and then pull the plastic tab from his back to get baby Elmo out of “try me” mode.
Ba-Ba Baby Elmo has 3 main features. 1. You can feed him his bottle. 2. you can also burp him 3. and then put him to sleep.

Of course the first thing I did was give him his bottle which doesn’t require much, in fact he actually requests it if you wait to long by saying “ba-ba, ba-ba please.” All you do is lift both his hands with bottle in between to his mouth and then he will make slurping noises. Pull the bottle away, a suction sound will occur and then he will say “more please” and kick his feet or say “mmm, mmm!”
