An artist from my hometown, Los Angeles, has created this necklace to raise awareness and funds for the Love House and Watts House Project, an artist-driven neighborhood redevelopment that is aimed at improving the homes and lives of residents who live across the street from the historic Watts Towers.

For the last 4 months I've been on a hunt for the perfect nose ring to fit my face, and though i haven't quite found it yet, i thought that maybe i'd just give it a shot anyways. So today i wore my nose ring in place of the usual stud and i must admit, i felt a little BA...now i'm on the hunt for the perfect size, let me know if you see a good selection of thinner nose rings.

Santa's Throw Up.

So I haven't posted since I got engaged, mainly because I'm so tempted to post about what I've been working on, but I can't, i don't want to ruin the element of surprise! I will tell you, though, that my wedding dress is coming along quite well and on schedule. I bought the fabrics in both LA and Orange County, which I feel is very fitting. We have a venue for our wedding, which is a gorgeous ballroom in a 1920's hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.

I'm going to try and get back in the routine of posting once again...I've been really inspired lately by different fashions I've seen and everything. I've wanted to imitate and buy these things, but it's tough when you have to choose between one day having a couch or right now having an amazing pair of ankle boots that are on sale. And who'd think a kitchenaid mixer would be on my Christmas list?

Oh the things that (future)marriage does to you...but it's wonderful.

Speaking of Christmas (which is only ten days away), we went to Giovan's roommate's (Aaron) birthday/Christmas party on friday night, ugly sweaters were in order, and Fortunato played an amazing cover of "Heartless" SO FUN! Aaron had been setting up for the party for weeks in advance and one day I had been napping on the couch and awoke to a winter wonderland (or as Aaron says "Santa threw up on our house)...Here's just one little picture of the madness:

On Friday I went to my friend's bachelorette party, I couldn't find anything more appropriate to wear than my new leather skirt.

It fits a little big, and i haven't had the chance to take it in, so i fastened my favorite belt around which gave it a slight "paper bag" effect. I love something about a sturdy material like leather having a feminine touch like gathering.

I so wished I had an AA lace body suit to wear under, but as i haven't had the chance to get one, i settled for my lace bandeau under a gray racerback.

Sorry I've been a bad blogger lately, between a job change, Giovan's house getting broken into, and this awful heat i've had no time for posting!

But putting all that behind us, this was an amazing weekend. My friends Alex and Josh got married last night, it was a beautiful wedding! Since this couple is so unique, i found that a unique gift was in order, here's what I made:

Alex has a fetish with Alice in Wonderland, and Josh even set up the whole proposal with an 'Alex in Wonderland' theme, so the background of these pictures are screenshots of a vintage Alice in Wonderland storybook.

This was quite the busy week(end).

With Rachel's wedding last night, my week was well occupied with wedding preparations, and festivities, which i was so honored to be a part of.

Congrats to the happy couple who is probably just now landing in jamaica for their honeymoon. :)

Sarah Yardley's Birthday was last week and she received this lovely matruska straight from russia.

On sunday i went to pick Giovan up from the train station, where i met this man, "Doc Holiday", while waiting for my love to arrive. He told me stories of plane wrecks and drunken pilots, and that flying was more dangerous than fighting in a war.

And lastly, a dress which i picked up from my favorite place, bargain box, for only $2:
