i know i keep saying im back n then i stop posting again..
well thats becoz over the weekend ive been in Indonesia.. so as we like to call it in short form Indo. lol ...anyways my dad works overseas and is based in Medan...

he's been there for 9 years..goin on 10 this year..well so since ive been 12 and ive moved from Pahang to Kuala lumpur...every other school holiday has been spent in indo. ...yea its eitehr there or we take a family holiday to somewhere else...like usa..or aussie..and so on... so ive covered almost all of indonesia ....

its rather fun..and its cheap...plus i get treated like royalty there..so yea there is no downside to it..well it totally depends..on how ya see it anyways... yes the country is like goin back in the past but still its really fun..and shopping is heavenly....

so its been a while since the entire family has made a trip over to see my dad ..its usually just either ..just 2 of us...and of course my mum's one of em..and the other rotates between me..my sis and my younger bro...which actually doesnt really fancy goin anywhere or much travelling he is so settled and content at being in Malaysia...i guess he doesnt wanna leave his friends behind...

he is though goin off to aussie ...next year for his studies for 2 yrs...oh well...id really like to see how that goes ...i think the change of enviroment might do him some good...

anyways back to the main point...we had solid "family bonding" hahaha which i know sounds weird and miserable..and it is like a family joke ...coz over there all we have are each other we dont really socialize with other ppl unless they are workin in my dad's company which usually is in a very formal manner..hahaha

yes we do have to put on our best and sit up straight at the compant dinners...and have it all down to the formall dinners and so on...wat can i say ... im sucha pro at it..after yrs of practise..lol but its fun...we dont do it as often as we used when my dad was based back here in malaysia...

the holiday was totally fab...and my parents were really pleased that the 3 of us sublings got on so well..and well we hardly fought...not like we used to hahahaa... yelling on top of our lungs and screaming im gonna kill you..or ill tell mummy ahahaaa... man those were the days...well it still does happen every once in a blue moon ;)

i guess we grew up...and being apart..makes even closer knit...though i think my bro is still at a stage where he thinks he's under too much restraint..right..dillusional i say....still a rather immature lil boy...he'll get the hang of it when he's off studying abroad all alone...hopefully..

the last day...we had so much fun...and went all out we even went to this plc with the flamenco dance which was so worth seeing... it was at this lil club where u pay like 5 euro's for entrance and then drinks are 3 euro's flat rate...

and oh man the bartender was ever sooo soooo cute...all of us checked him out hahahaa after all it was our last day it wud be a while before we got back there so wat the heck...we admired as much as we wanted LOL

dark ..tall and handsome..man we did not let that slide just like that muahaahaa

if u do go to spain n miss that ohhh man wat a waste..lol its the best thing to go for.. :D
and pickin up simple spanish will be good :D

we had our last group dinner in spain ...in the ultimate posh rest...it was fab...i had duck...lol it was so yummmy.... totally fattening and i had tiramisu for dessert... :D

it was a good way to end the trip...we got back to the hotel only to gather in hel's and gem's room :D finish the liquer and talk till the wee hours of the mornin... :D

we visited the market...the food market..it was awesome..everything was just so...jumbo sized and really cheap...fruits...fish...candy...meat and cheese ..and the awesome spices...
for us chef students ..it was almost heaven..hehe we went around like lil kids lookin and asking bout everything and taking pics of all the food..
some bought saffron and others some chirozo...and test tasted a whole lot of things... pickles ..candy and even salted roe...
later we washed everything down with a of fresh juice...i had raspberry i remember...and its really amazing the colour was fantastic...a deep reddish pinkish sludge..that tasted all so good..

and of course there was the ice cream...ahhh the flavours..i cudnt resist i had to have 3 flavours to satisfy my curiousity and my addiction of ice cream....the way the ice cream just melted on ur palate..and the sweet unforgetable pleasure...lol man it still haunts me now..lol

we had some time off to do our own thing so the gals decided it was time to roam the streets of barcelona and go shopping yea...

we did get lost a whole lot..oh man the walkin hahahaa...but it was all worth it...we did also stop over for lunch...and man was our waiter cute muahahaa... yea totally hot ... it was really fun..lol we were goin on bout the guys and all the other nonsense...

in the evenin we headed for the beach side...for dinner by the beach side... :D it was fun we had like 6 tables all joined together to form like a last supper table.. :D the menu was superb.. me and jocelyn had seafood paella :D

we even had a complimentary bottle of vino de sol... goes very well with the meal..:D

Barri Gotico Tour...after a lite nite out and all almost all of em kinda slept in late..we missed the tour just by a few mins..so instead we took our own just with all the information we had from ruth..and our handy guide book...mrs rowson did the navigating and reading the explanin wat a certain building is ...

our main stop was the cathedral..it was huge...ive posted some info on it...in my previous postings..anyways..it was huge i even managed to get some holy water... cool huh...bringing it home for my family.. anyways this plc was huge...and you coudnt enter if u had something sleeveless on or anythin revealing...even though i had a off shoulder top tat was really decent..i was asked to cover up my shoulders...

and then ruth told us the most interesting story...you know how u pray to certain saints for somethin u want..like there's one for when ur sick..another for finding lost items..n stuff like that...well apprently saint anthony..is the one single gals or young gals pray to to get a bf or a husband... ur suppose to get a saint anthony figuring..and put him upside down on his head...so like he's forced to help you and then when u do get a bf/huband you put him upright again...

and loads more that know im back are so relieve and have been tellin me its a good thing im back home for the summer...

thank you so much to everyone that has been so concerned bout my well being i appreciate it...
everyone is rather shocked...and i do urge to everyone in London to just keep in touch and keep us informed that you're doin okie...

so far ive checked on a lot of em back there in London and all's good ...thats a relieve..

yea ill be leaving for Malaysia tonite..
on the 10pm flight ..
i wish i was more excited but the 14 hour journey back home alone.. plus a few hours of bein alone in the aiport isnt so appealing..

kinda like that movie terminal hahahaa... :P thank goodness i speak english..lol
i packed everything away... so darn smart..coz ive been living out of the suitcase im bringing home since i moved my other stuff to the new loft ...

and the best bit..most of it are new clothes..and presents i got for family back home.... didnt bring much of my own clothes except for my new skirts ..lol which i cudnt bear to leave behind..anyways...gettin right to the darn point...

bein awfully intelligent..i packed loads of skirts..and bout 3 tops..lol and they all didnt match.. i mean i cudnt even go street jap style ( u know where the clothes are meant to be miss matched) coz the clothes where just uncoordinated....

and of course this called for a shopping spree muahahaa.. not really just a mini one yea.. im not much of a shopaholic.. my mum and sis complains that i shop like a guy..like it ...get it..move off to the next shop.. i dont idle and look at it and think bout it for too long :P well thats only in shopping malls though...

i rather go off to the markets much more fun..where u can haggle the prices...*man i love camden*

arent gothic ppl only meant to wear purple and really eerie colours.. i beg to differ...of course i do put on the ol' gothic wear frm time to time bein a chef doesnt help much either...but that doesnt make me much of a gothic person just coz of wat i wear...yes so im not the typical malaysian gal...or one of those wannabe's..apprently into gothic things..righttt....i bet u are..bloody posers..

clothes and makeup are just a facade to me...but bein gothic..well there are no rules..u need to follow no exact definition exactly..but its more of whom u are the personality that counts..lifesytle in some wat way...

people can be rather ignorant..and i guess its an in thing to be "gothic" ...coz everyone on friendster seem to like it..and suddenly a flood of ppl on msn messages to tell me ohhh im all gothic too..and i go, oh really and what makes you a gothic person?? oh ive got satanic tarot cards...and im very into anne rice..righttt..thats bearly childs play ...you arse...

gothic doesnt mean satanic.. of course most goths are into satanic worshipping..but not all..and they are not scary and they are not evill !!! arghh hate ppl that just presume something is BAD coz its weird...

for me WEIRD is good i cant recall how many times ive been called a weirdo....well truthfully im proud to be one at least im different...im unique...i stand out from the crowd..so yea i might not be all that tall or be a bombshell...but least im for real..ive got personality..loads of typos..improper use of grammar...i manage to make a fool out of myself no matter where i go..but thats just me the person i trurly am...not a phase i go through or a play i put up...

oh btw if u were wondering...what makes me all gothic...check out my diaryland entries under past dwellings... ;)

Día dos en Barcelona ( Day 2 in Barcelona )

Bus touristic ... we each paid around 17 euro's for a whole day...It takes you to around the Entire city....it has 3 lines Red, Blue and Green.. and throughout the entire day you can hop on and off the bus as much as you want...stopping the the tourist spots such as Sagrada Familia.. and Parc Guell the Museums...La Ramblas..and so on..

Our plan was to see the Entire city then ..decide where we's wanna stop and have a closer look... the bus was a double decker one :D and of course comin from London and bein deprived of sun all of us decided the top upper deck was a better deal 's with it bein a open roof top one....

weee... so yes we got fried in the sun... :D and i got an unintentional tan...pffttt...and im the one that usually hates the sun yea...yea..get it too much in malaysia LOL...

After hours of bein on the bus and we finally got back to the Hotel...we took an hour of Siesta before heading back out and deciced that Sagrada De Familia ...was our first stop..and of course Parc guell...

We waited for the Sagrada De Familia guided tour and we kinda missed it after hanging out and chillin for wayy too long at the street cafe...but it was rather fun and how very disturbing when fellowes tried to be one of the guys...yea..with some rather corny dirty jokes... :P muahahahaha...

We managed to get to Parc guelle...the view was amazing and so was the climb it was a rather steep climb but rather fun... :D it was all worth while once you've reached the top :D...it was a real "mission" LOL..... tats wat ash calls somethin thats impossible or hard to achieve..so frm then on we all got the hang of the word mission ..lol it kinda became an inside joke.. ;)

That nite us gals went for dinner at a posh restaurant and the guys went for paella....was rather fun.. :D dinner was superb...some of the gals had a tad too much to drink ..after dinner we took a walk to the La Ramblas...

Helena got a whole lot of attention frm the men on the streets there was a lot of street peddlers too ..asking if ya wanted a cold beer or a rose...which neither interested us..we were lookin for somewhere to have drinks and dance..or in helena's words to " boogie"..

on the way there an indian guy actually came up to helena ...and started hitting on her...and stood at one spot screaming out at helena...coz we just walked on by....it went somethin like this ...

Guy: heyya sweetie, baby , sugar...ur lookin sexy tonite..
Hel: hiyya luv..yea thx
guy:blah blah blah ....i luv you...
hel: right gimme time yea babe i hardly know ya...
guy: you can have me all my fucking life...

hahahaha...we all chuckled..lol and we happen to see the guy almost everyday yea... on the way back down the street we saw him again..and with his friend..the guy came up to helena and even held her waist n all...and his friend came up to me...ewww...man was i grossed out...me and helena happen to be walkin bside each other closely...

guy: oh ur hot tonite..ur very pretty yea
me : uhh..yea wateva thx.. * walks closer to helena*

and on helena's side the guy is still at her side...and we kinda made him believe...that we were goin out and were lesbians..hahaha kinda hugged n cheeked kissed n held hands...n he mumbled sumthin and left... all the way through the ramblas...guys looked at us weirdly coz we linked arms..and kinda made em believe we were lesbians...was rather fun ...

until another pair came up to us...with beers in their hands and they had been following us since quite far back...one had a big turban...and another was just indian...then they asked us where we were frm...JAPAN??? to me.. and im went NO! then where? hel screamed england..and started on with a very english song..LOL..nutty gal... and i just giggled...and then these guys got the cheek to tell us that oh we are frm japan with their thick indian accent...HOW LAME...

we had a lot of free passes for clubs...one guy even told us he's be there in an hour to see us...hehhee...a club named brown sugar...but it was too late and we walked half way there..and we still cudnt find it..so we ..turned back...and headed to the hotel singing ...loudly and out of tune all the way back to the hotel...hehehee... all the gals are really nuts ... they're sucha fun bunch.. :D

Día uno en Barcelona ( Day 1 in Barcelona )

The journey started at 12pm as me and jocelyn headed to uni to meet up with David Fellowes, one of our tutors that was goin on the trip...

We waited quite a while and then finally he arrived at the reception of the uni and we headed for the South Ealing tube station.. making a pitstop at the petrol kiosk just to get some mineral water...

It took us a while to reach the Victoria Station..i kept thinking are we there yet..?are we there yet?? LOL Met up with the ever talkative weng kit and our other female tutor that was following on the trip Janet Rowson...

Took us bout half an hour on the Gatwick express before we reach the airport... had lunch there and sat in the waiting area for everyone else...Will and Ash were the first ones there...then came Anas...

Then Gemma,Toni,Ruth and Helena arrived and we were all set...tickets were handed out..with bag tags...and we all checked in together...Me and jose happen to sit together...was rather exciting...the thrill of gettin to some where new...

We touched down at the Barcelona after an hour...Spain happens to be an hour ahead of London...it was already half past 9 then...took us like an hour to get sorted and get a cab to the Mont Blanc Hotel located on Via Latienna...

It was a 3 star hotel and the rooms were fab... :D we had a one triple share room and the rest were doubles...

Rooming...All the rooms were on the 3rd floor and we were all neighbours..it was rather fun..we kept annoying each other sometimes the doors were not locked so that we could come in and out of the rooms...

Helena & Gemma's room was the meeting point basically thats where everyone gathered for bitching talks and drinking and apprently silent orgy's LOL ...well the tutor warned us that we werent allowed to have parties in our rooms and if we wanted one ...we were suppose to go out and have it being too noisy cud cause us gettin kicked out of the hotel...Ruth pipped wat bout SILENT ORGY'S and fellowes out tutor didnt have a come back for that..and everyone bursted out in laughter... LOL

So as soon as we settled in to our rooms...we were to meet up in the hotel lounge..a few hours later when finally everyone gathered..we walked just along the hotel streets heading in the direction of the La Ramblas and we finally settled at a Restaurante named Navarra that served authentic Tapas...

They were quite taken back by the group of 13..we divided into 2 tables.. on my table..(Hel,gem,anas,weng kit,jos and me) and on the other side
(will,toni,ash,jay,ruth,janet and fellowes)...

Ruth did all the ordering and made sure that the ratio was 2:1 so we all had enough to eat.. :D at first i was thinkin yea that Tapas wouldnt fill me up at all..but how wrong i was yea..

We were too hungry and was being entertained by Ana's animal cruelity ideas..to him which was actually gastronomy revelations...hahahaa.. righttt...feeding salmon truffles...injecting cows with truffle..in thier bloodstream yea omg how cruel..n how unneccesary... using truffle oil in a dish wud be a much more logical...so the 4 of us gals on the table kept debating with him...lol and next we had to listen to his ideas of having a male restaurant...yes catered particulary for males..so that when they bring their gf's they still get to watch the "game" on telly.. while eating..righttt which in the right mind gf wud wanna go there unless she was a footie fan herself...

The Tapas was fab..lol although Anas was a lil distracting...and so was weng kit..but it was all good...the company was good and we kept asking the waiters and ruth was being served...we had the ever famous catalan bread..cod fish salad ..avacado and pasta salad..prawn salsa...calamari..deep fried artichoke...cheese..chirozo..and a whole lot more..which right now i cant even recall... we were too hungry that none of use actually took any pics of the food that was served..lol We even had desserts which i was actually focused enough to take pics of the best was the Lemon Sorbet in Cava (champagne) and the Tiramisu..was heavenly...

After dinner we walked back to the hotel with out full bellies and happy faces and headed back to our rooms...to call it a nite..but it was already like 1am ish.. me and jose decided to do a bit of unpacking and took our showers...watched a bit of Sex And the City in Español was pretty funny...surf a few channels and then we happen come across a porn channel hahaha yea.. i said it was cable porn..but jose said it was just an advert..well..it was all blurry but we definately cud make out was was happenin..lol and how jose was trying to figure out if that was a dildo was rather funny...hahhahaa...anyways..we found the CNN channel which was in English mind you..then flickered on to find ... german..and french channels..and then off to bed we went... :D

okie here's a lil info on just a few places in Barcelona....

The Temple of SAGRADA FAMILIA,designed by the famous Catalan Architect, Antonio Gaudí,in 1882,and not finished yet!This Gaudi’s masterpiece is still a “work in progress”. He received the commission in 1866 from a pious right-wing organization that wanted to build an “Expiatory Temple” in BCN in reaction to the liberal ideas that run through Europe at that times. Being a private project, the winds of change in the turbulent XXth century finally stopped the building construction. Gaudi died in 1926, having finished only the Nativity Facade. During Spanish Civil War most of the models, plans and drawings were destroyed for political reasons. So nowadays the project still goes on following what present architects think was Gaudi’s ideas, but of course with their own criteria.

Catedral le Seu-This little 14th century church in the gothic quarter has inside some marvellous gothic stained-glass windows. It is surrounded by 3 squares: Pi square, Pi Little Square and St. Oriol Square, all of them in a pedestrian area, where on saturdays there is a local market with regional gastromonic products.This cathedral is located in the heart of the Gothic quarter, most of it was built in the 13th and 15th century. The interior is really impressive with a blend of medieval and renaissance styles. There are 29 side chapels inside. The best view of the cathedral is from Placa de la Seu. You can also visit the roof by lift for 2 euros

BARRI GOTICO (Ghotic Quarter) is the old town of Barcelona.Walking by its narrow streets you'll find many interestings things as:Cathedral of Santa Eulalia,the Town Hall, Plaça Reial,and other interesting places to visit,on this picture you can see a view of the small church called Iglesia de Santa Maria del Pí. In this quarter of the city,you can find also some hotels,a lot of small shops,restaurants and cafeterias,is a nice place to explore.

La Pedrera, Casa Battlo, Palau Guell, Parc Guell and of course Sagrada Familia. You can get a pass that gives you discounts if you go to a bunch of these attractions. It can be purchased next door to the Casa Battlo at Casa Amatller. Both are located on Passeig de Gracia. In the summer La Pedrera (also known as Casa Mila) has drinks and Jazz on it's unique rooftop!

La Ramblas -This name comes from the Arabic word for riverbed. It was originally just a path beside a stream that was running through the centre of the old city. Today it is a famous avenue that is the bustling centre of all kinds of activities. You can find almost anything here. Las Ramblas runs from Placa de Catalunya, a main square full of shops, restaurants, and banks, located at the centre of the city, down to the monument of Columbus on the waterfront. The avenue is broken up into five sections, each with its own name and characteristics. The first one is La Rambla de Canaletes, which was named after the fountain Font de les Canaletes. Legends says that whoever drinks from this fountain will forever keep returning to Barcelona. The next area is named after the Estudi General (university) and is called La Rambla dels Estudis. But some also call it La Rambla dels Ocells (avenue of the birds), because of its many places selling birds and small animals. Next is La Rambla de les Flors, where you can buy all kinds of flowers. This is also where you find the century-old Boqueria Market. Inside this market you can find the freshest produce, meat, fish, and dried fruits. Then there is the La Rambla del centre and La Rambla de Santa Monica that brings you to Barcelona’s harbour. At the seafront is La Rambla de Mar where you can find the beach, an aquarium, restaurants, movie theatres and popular nightclubs.

One of the star attractions of Barcelona is the Parc Güell, the second most visited park after the Ciutadella. Probably only because of its location in the north of the city. The park owes its magnetic attraction to th fact that it was designed by Gaudí. In creating the park, Gaudí used shapes which harmonized with the landscape. Always aware of the struggle betwen man and nature, he built a complex garden of staircases, animalike sculptures, curvy ramps, and viaducts. Today, the park is declared a monument of world interest by UNESCO and has had this status since 1984. Lastly, expect a climb regardless of how you get to the park (well perhaps unless you drive). I think the best way to get there though was with the Bus Turístic.
