SPOOKY LITTLE CRAFT FEST

Floral Wreath Layout by Valerie Bisson

Hi friends! Valerie Bisson here and I’m so excited to share this layout with you featuring Paige’s Leaf Wreath Cut File and her beautiful Crafted Moments collection.

I started with the Worth Remembering Paper for the background. One of my favorite things to do with a wreath paper design is to add a cut file on top which adds a nice layered element. I cut the Leaf Wreath Cut File from white cardstock and brushed on shades of green watercolor while the cut file was still stuck on the mat - this way it dries flat. Once dry I adhered the cut file on top of the floral wreath making sure not to add glue to every single branch and leaf so that some of the leaves could lift off the page. I followed this by splashing white acrylic paint all around the wreath. I cut my photo into a circle to match the design of the page and adhered it in the center. After this I placed my title following the curve of the photo with the pink Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers. To complete the circle of words around the photo I wrote a sentence of journaling along the top. To further embellish the wreath I added a few of the Floral Die Cuts, Enamel Shapes, and a few Cardstock Stickers to complete the look. I love how this page turned out and I hope it gives you an idea the next time you’re working with a wreath paper design. Have a wonderful day!

Punched Border Strips Layout by Paige Evans

Hello scrappy friends! Here is a new layout I made with Crafted Moments for Scrapbook & Cards Today!

3 Ways to Add Interest to a 12x12 Layout:
1) Create a whole bunch of texture using a variety of border punches or deco scissors and then bend up the edges for even more depth & dimension!
2) Arrange papers in a cascading rainbow order - start with pinks and then move through to orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. You can never go wrong with rainbow order!
3) Embellish tone-on-tone so pink flowers over pink papers, yellow flowers over yellow papers, blue flowers over blue papers, so on and so forth.

Love You to the Moon and Back Layout by Sophie Delorme

Hello scrapbook friends! It’s Sophie Delorme here on Paige’s blog today and I'm so happy to share a new layout with you! For this one, I used the Crafted Moments collection along with a gorgeous cut file from Paige called Hexagon Background.

I cut the Hexagon Background from white cardstock and backed it with papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad for a soft pop of color underneath. I centered the cut file onto a white cardstock background then added rows of tiny scalloped borders along each strip of the hexagon created with a border punch from my stash. I placed my photo slightly offset to the right, added a label from the Ephemera Die Cuts for my journaling, and tucked Floral Die Cuts around it to keep things soft and pretty. For the title, I went with a flowy look using the pink Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers, and finished it off by stamping the date and sprinkling Enamel Shapes. I just love how this one turned out and I truly hope you do too! Thank you so much for stopping by!

LOVE BLOOMS HERE Layout by Paige Evans

This is the final of the four 12x12 layouts we made at Crafted Moments Weekend! This page features my LOVE BLOOMS HERE Cut File paired with my Crafted Moments collection.

The LOVE BLOOMS HERE Cut File was cut from smooth white cardstock and then backed with patterns from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I backed the two "O"s with small photos.

I added a few Floral Die Cuts, fussy cut florals & butterflies, a subtitle made with the navy Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers, heart Enamel Shapes, little flower and leaf Puffy Stickers, and an arrow Cardstock Sticker.

Handmade Recipe Book by by Rochi Villegas

Hello crafty friends! Rochi Villegas here sharing one of my favorite projects I’ve made with the beautiful Crafted Moments collection: a handmade recipe book filled with pretty details and lots of room to preserve favorite family recipes!

I started by covering my 5x6” recipe book with one of the gorgeous floral papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad. For the cover, I created a shaker window featuring the adorable jam jar icon from the Puffy Stickers. I filled it with sequins for a little sparkle and topped it with a frame from the Chipboard Stickers. I added the word "RECIPES" with the navy Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers. Inside, I wanted every section to feel organized while still showcasing the beautiful papers so I created divider pages for different recipe categories and added tabs so it’s easy to find each section.

One of my favorite details is the vellum divider. I scanned and printed the One Good Thing Paper onto vellum, creating a soft, delicate page that adds texture.

To make the recipe pages extra special, I designed my own recipe card template in Canva. I used Enjoy the Pause Paper as the background and added spaces for the recipe title, prep time, cook time, ingredients, and directions. I love being able to personalize my projects and creating custom recipe pages made this album feel even more unique.

Throughout the book I decorated the pages with Ephemera Die Cuts, Floral Die Cuts, and fussy cut fruit and cookies from Enjoy the Pause Paper and Inner Glow Paper, while leaving plenty of space to add photos of finished dishes and handwritten family memories. I wanted this book to be more than just recipes, it will become a collection of stories, traditions, and moments shared around the table!

Here is another layout we made at Crafted Moments Weekend, this time featuring a whole bunch of patterned paper strips!

I used the Crafted Moments 6x8 Paper Pad to cut strips and then lined them across the top and bottom of a dark purple textured cardstock background which helps the colors really POP!

Because the papers do most of the work, I only added a few embellishments like flower die cuts (these are actually from Lovely Lane), a Rub-On-turned-die-cut, a heart Chipboard Sticker, pink Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers, a sentiment Puffy Sticker, and a label from the Ephemera Die Cut with journaling written on it.

Hey all! Nicole Santos here with another fun and simple scrapbook layout for you using Paige's Crafted Moments collection!

First I took the Made of Sunlight Paper, Stay Present Paper, and Beauty Ahead Paper to make a little shelf for my photo to sit on. I then matted my photo with the One Good Thing Paper. I used alphas from both Legendary and Crafted Moments to make my title. I then used Rub-Ons, Cardstock Stickers, Chipboard Stickers, Ephemera Die Cuts, Floral Die Cuts, and Enamel Shapes to embellish this page. I just love the way this came out and I hope it inspires you to get crafting with your Crafted Moments collection!

The Beauty of Now Layout by Monique Lowe

Hello creative friends! Monique Lowe here and I'm so happy to be sharing a new layout featuring Paige's Crafted Moments collection from Pinkfresh Studio!

I started with a sheet of textured white cardstock and machine stitched a 3 x 3 grid to add subtle texture on the background. Next, I selected four patterned papers and cut one to 3" square and one to 2" square from each design. After distressing and tearing the edges for extra texture, I arranged the squares within the grid, leaving the center space free for my photo. Once I was happy with the placement, I added some Distress Ink to the background using the packaging technique - my favorite way to create a quick splash of color! After everything was dry, I stuck down the paper squares with foam squares for added dimension. To frame my photo, I used a square element from the Ephemera Die Cuts along with a torn strip of Create Your Way Paper. Then came my favorite part - embellishing! I used the beautiful Floral Die Cuts to create small clusters around my photo and added a few more to some of the paper squares to help tie the whole design together. I tucked in a sentiment from the Ephemera Die Cuts before finishing the layout with a sentiment Cardstock Sticker and a sprinkle of Enamel Shapes.

Confetti Field Layout by Jackie Ashton

Jackie Ashton here sharing a layout using Paige's Crafted Moments collection. There's something so satisfying about creating a layout using just one sheet of patterned paper!

I trimmed white cardstock down to 11.5" square and distressed the edges before layering it over the mini floral Create Your Way Paper - this created a beautiful border around the layout. Before adhering everything together, I gutted the center of the paper and used that piece to mat my photographs - making the most of every bit of paper! To frame the page, I added a hand-drawn border around the edge. I then arranged my photographs across the page and embellished them with Cardstock Stickers, labels from the Ephemera Die Cuts, Enamel Shapes, and flower Puffy Stickers. I finished the layout with a title created using the pink Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers. I absolutely love how this layout came together and it's a great reminder that you can create a page while using just a single sheet of patterned paper. Hope you can get some inspiration from my layout!

Flower Sequin Mini Album by Paige Evans

Here is the flower sequin mini album that we filled together during our Crafted Moments Weekend Event!

A quick flip through:

I sent Gi DeMello (my bestie in Brazil) a sketch of a flower sequin album idea I had and she brought it to life even more beautifully than I could have ever imagined!

I had so much fun filling it with Crafted Moments papers & embellishments along with a few supplement products from American Crafts.

Here is the front cover adorned with flowers and lots of tone-on-tone decorations.

The spine is filled with clear sequins so the title could pop.

We made a tassel charm to attach onto the spine.

I didn't embellish the back cover so the sequins could sparkle & shine and be the star of the show!

Of course the first page (well, after the see-through transparency page), features a plethora of hand stitching! I am who I am :)

While we were at Disneyland this past April, I knew this flower sequin album was waiting for me to fill it, so I intentionally took a bunch of photos of Jane in front of flowers and lots of flowers on their own to use throughout this album.

Each flower-shaped page features a chain-stitched border.

Summer in Paris Layout by Inessa Persekian

Hey friends, Inessa Persekian here and I just returned from a fabulous trip to Paris and couldn't wait to start documenting! Crafted Moments has the perfect vibe for Paris.

This layout started with a sheet of the Beauty Ahead Paper. To create a soft layered design, I tore a piece of white cardstock to approximately 7" tall and adhered it about 1½" up from the bottom of the page. I tucked a neutral trim along the torn edge and stitched across it with metallic thread. Not only does the stitching add wonderful texture, but it also helps secure the trim in place. I wanted the photos to feel like they were hanging from the top of the page, so I reached into my stash for a variety of neutral trims and ribbons. Using different textures and widths helped carry the trim from the bottom of the layout all the way to the top, creating a cohesive design. For my photos, I used frames from the Chipboard Stickers and tucked 2x2 and 2x3 photos behind them. After attaching the trims to the backs of the framed photos, I adhered them to the white cardstock to create the hanging effect. I also tied a few small bows with the same trims for a feminine touch. To finish the page, I tucked Floral Die Cuts, Ephemera Die Cuts, additional frame Chipboard Stickers, and other embellishments throughout the layout to create balance and fill in the design. The title was created using the Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers and I completed everything with a few strands of metallic thread at the top, Metallic Enamel Dots, and a light splatter of gold shimmer for the perfect finishing touch. I love how all of the layers, textures, and metallic details work together to create a layout that's both elegant and full of dimension. I hope this inspires you to mix trims, stitching, and layered embellishments on your next scrapbook page! Have a fabulous day and à bientôt!

Fun Day at Disneyland (Heart Wreath for Stitching) Layout by Paige Evans

I had so much fun hand stitching these hearts in colors of thread to match my Crafted Moments collection with Pinkfresh Studio! I do have a cut file called Heart Wreath for Stitching in my shop HERE.

I splattered a rainbow of watercolors over the background and then embellished tone-on-tone.

The photo in the center is round in shape to fit the space and is of Fox & Jane in front of the castle at Disneyland!

City and Clouds Layout by Audrey Mutschall

Hello friends and happy summer! Audrey Mutschall here sharing a new layout made with Paige's Crafted Moments collection. There are so many adorable elements in this collection that I wanted to use on a page, so I put together a scene that includes a hot air balloon die cut, a fussy cut sun and butterfly, and the colorful building die cuts and stickers.

I started by cutting three large cloud shapes from white cardstock and stitched borders around them with white embroidery floss. Next I cut some hills from the leafy green side of the Crafted Moments Paper and added a border of stitching along those. I arranged the clouds and hills onto a lilac colored cardstock background and then fussy cut a sun from the Made of Sunlight Paper for the top left corner of the layout. Next I matted my photo with a piece of the Beauty Ahead Paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad, and tucked it between the hills and clouds. I added building Ephemera Die Cuts, Cardstock Stickers, and Puffy Stickers onto the page, as well as an adorable hot air balloon Ephemera Die Cut. A fussy cut butterfly from the Full of Hope Paper and an origami kite made from the Stay Curious Paper also added some whimsical touches to the page. Lastly, I embellished with Floral Die Cuts, more Cardstock Stickers, and Chipboard Stickers. I had so much fun creating this whimsical page and I hope it inspires you to check out Paige’s Crafted Moments collection!

Then and Now Layout by Antonia Sherlock

Hello crafty friends! Antonia Sherlock here and today I’m sharing a quick and easy layout I created with Paige's Crafted Moments collection.

I couldn’t stop myself making another layout with a full patterned paper background! These papers are so beautiful and the variety of colors allow so many different combinations to create different moods. This time I went with a pastel background using the Inner Glow Paper and layered the more striking Beauty Ahead Paper on top. I had to cut the latter carefully so that the bouquet pattern is positioned centrally. I layered my photos on colored cardstock and I positioned them towards the top of the page. Rather than creating my usual layered embellishment clusters, I arranged the embellishments in a linear way from the top to the bottom of the page. I used the three large butterflies from the Floral Die Cuts and a few Cardstock Stickers for this. I added the title, using the pink and blue Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers and I completed the layout using the tiny flowers from the Puffy Stickers and some Enamel Shapes. This layout came together so easily and I loved experimenting with the placement of the embellishments. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Cake Bake Shop Layout by Ali Skifton

Hi friends! It's Ali Skifton here today sharing a "Two for Tea" layout featuring Paige's Crafted Moments collection. My friend Anne and I enjoyed the most wonderful afternoon tea at the Cake Bake Shop during our trip to Disney World and this collection was absolutely perfect for documenting these sweet photos from our special day.

For the background, I stamped a few areas with soft pink ink to add a bit of texture behind the pretty pink Stay Curious Paper. Then I cut a banner from the fun Enjoy the Pause Paper to add another playful layer to the design. I couldn't resist using the adorable teacup from the Ephemera Die Cuts and I added foam tape behind the Floral Die Cuts so they rise above the page like steam floating from a warm cup of tea. I also tucked more Floral Die Cuts beneath the unicorn photo and finished the layout by sprinkling Enamel Shapes around the floral clusters for a little extra detail and dimension. To complete my page, I used the beautiful Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers to create my title. One of my favorite things about Crafted Moments is how versatile it is - whether you're documenting everyday moments, special celebrations, or memorable adventures like this one, it's filled with beautiful papers and embellishments that make preserving your memories so much fun! Sun Kissed Layout by Valerie Bisson

Hi friends! Valerie Bisson here and I’m so happy to share a new project with you featuring Paige’s Butterfly from her 20 Spring Cut Files and her beautiful Crafted Moments collection.

I cut the Butterfly at 10” across from black cardstock then I backed it with Crafted Moments Paper and also matted the layout with Crafted Moments Paper. This paper has lots of pretty patterns and colors which can pop through all the little cut outs in the cut file and make a pretty border around the page. Next, with a piece of white cardstock cut to 11”square, I added stenciling in the corners with black ink - you might have this old stencil in your stash from Paige called Flower Garden Background! This makes a nice base to place the butterfly and photo. A frame from the Chipboard Stickers cut in half diagonally works great to accent the photo along with a couple of fussy cut butterflies from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I used the Puffy Alpha Stickers from Lovely Lane for my curved title below the cut file. I finished with a few embellishments including pieces from the Cardstock Stickers, Floral Die Cuts, Rub-On Transfers, and Enamel Shapes. I can’t forget the hand stitched antenna on the butterfly to make it complete! Have a wonderful creative day!

SUMMER Layout by Paige Evans

Hello scrappy friends! Here is a layout that I made for a virtual papercrafting event last year with Scrapbook & Cards Today using the Have a Great Summer collection by Echo Park and it features a large patterned paper title!

I used my Cricut to cut out the SUMMER letters from 6 different patterned papers and then instead of hand stitching like I am prone to do, I simply machine stitched around the letters for a little bit of added texture and dimension.

Two photos of Jane in Hawaii top the letters and then I sprinkled small fussy cut flowers as well as mini puffy stickers, heart chipboard stickers, and cardstock stickers around the page to finish it up. I loved making this bonus layout for the SCT Papercrafting Event!

Hi friends! Stephanie Draleau here today with another layout using Paige's Crafted Moments collection!

I used several patterns from the 12x12 Paper Pack to stack layers behind my picture of my little guy watching the zoo animals. I used a variety of Cardstock Stickers and Chipboard Stickers to embellish and created a title with the navy Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers. I then matted my layout with the One Good Thing Paper. I hope I’ve inspired you to try some layering with your patterned papers today!

My World Layout by Sophie Delorme

Hello friends! It’s Sophie Delorme here on Paige’s blog today and I’m so excited to share this new layout created with her gorgeous Crafted Moments collection paired with her Flower Corner Cut File.

I backed the Flower Corner cut file with beautiful patterned papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad and nestled it into the upper left corner of the page. I centered my black & white photo on my 12x12 white cardstock, framed the whole layout on the One Good Thing Paper, and let a butterfly from the Floral Die Cuts flutter freely right next to my photo - a little touch I just love! For the title, I used the Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers and added a Chipboard Sticker as a subtitle. A bit of stitching, Puffy Stickers, and some handwritten journaling finished everything off beautifully. I hope you find this page inspiring!

Vitamin Sea Layout by Rochi Villegas

Hello crafty friends! Rochi Villegas here sharing a new summer layout using Paige's Crafted Moments collection and her Ocean Wreath cut file.

To begin, I cut the Ocean Wreath from white cardstock and decided to color it rather than back it with patterned paper. Using soft shades of aqua, pink, yellow, and lavender, creating a watercolor effect that perfectly complemented the tropical feel of my photo. Next, I added soft blue mixed media behind the wreath to mimic the colors of the ocean and help draw attention to the center of the page. I then layered my photo on patterned papers from Crafted Moments and tissue paper to create a focal point. Once the photo was in place, I began embellishing around it with Floral Die Cuts, fussy cut flowers from One Good Thing Paper, and placed a Chipboard Sticker over a seashell. The butterfly at the top of the layout helps anchor the composition while adding movement and whimsy. For the title, I chose “Vitamin Sea,” phrase, using pink Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers that perfectly captures the feeling of this special vacation memory. For my journaling, I tucked a tag Ephemera Die Cut behind the top of my photo. Finally, I finished the layout with Enamel Shapes for a touch of sparkle and texture. 4th of July Layout by Nicole Santos

Hey all! Nicole Santos here and today I’m sharing my patriotic layout using 3 collections from Paige to make this fun 4th of July layout: Legendary, Lovely Lane, and Crafted Moments!

I’m documenting a picture from last year while the fam and I were enjoying our own little fireworks. I started this layout by adding Shimmerz paints down at the bottom of a mixed media paper and then layered up patterned papers to make the background. I then added my photo with a vellum mat. I also used gold stencil paste with a stars stencil to add texture. I wound up using so many embellishments from Crafted Moments around the page as well as Enamel Dots from Legendary. I used the Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers from Lovely Lane for my title and then sprinkled some sequins around the page. I just love how this page turned out and I hope it gives you some inspiration for a fun patriotic layout of your own!

4th of July in Wallace, Idaho 2026

For the 6th year in a row we packed up and flew to Spokane to spend the 4th of July with my entire family in the historic town of Wallace, Idaho!

Gi DeMello made me this flag sequin tote last year for my 4th of July scrapbook event and it was the perfect purse to use for all my essentials on the airplane. Festive AF!

Spokane or bust!

After flying to Orlando the last couple trips, a less than two hour flight seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye hallelujah! | Flying over Coeur d'Alene is always beautiful to see out the window with the shimmery blue lakes and greenery.

We rented a car and made a pit stop at my parent's home in Green Acres to pick up a couple packages then we drove to our first annual errand: the Walmart in Smelterville. I found these super fun patriotic Monster energy drinks but I didn't get one, sugar makes me break out so badly instantaneously. I do love and appreciate the red, white & blue though!

I brought a handy dandy lightweight and compact phone tripod so we could take all kinds of photos TOGETHER instead of one of us missing out. Our first test was a success, yay!

Decisions decisions, choices choices. The "collector syndrome" part of me wants one of each but I also don't really like how loud fireworks are because it makes me feel bad for animals who don't know what's going on.

$300 later lol... thanks Chris! You da best!

Then we drove the last 20 minutes to Wallace. My sister's daughters/my cute nieces Zula and Daisy were so happy to see me! Such a great feeling to be loved :)

No time to waste, I've been waiting for this moment for literally 365 days... THE FAINTING GOAT!!!

Last year Chris brought me the Cowboy Mac'n'Cheese and Sweet Potato Tater Tots for dinner after I finished teaching and it was THE MOST delicious meal I'd ever had, I honestly and truly haven't stopped thinking about it since.

Small world story: last year Chris was chatting with his patient who said she visits northern Idaho often, her brother lives there and owns a restaurant... in Wallace... called... The Fainting Goat!!! What are the chances?! In present time, we asked if the owner was in, told them Chris is his sister's dentist in Littleton, and we got to meet him. Nice guy, amazing restaurant.

Another small world story: while waiting for rope drop at Disneyland this past April along with 1000s of other people, I turned around and saw an older gentleman wearing a Fainting Goat, Wallace Idaho hat and of course I HAD to go talk to him about it because who in the world has been to the Fainting Goat in Wallace, Idaho and wears a hat about it?! Life is so funny sometimes.

By the way - the food was just as good as I remembered. We came back a couple days later for another meal.

Time to visit the Wallace pool! I went shopping on Amazon a couple weeks before our trip and got all kinds of festive attire.

See, the tripod came in so clutch!

We didn't try moving the chairs or umbrellas this time, lesson learned last year, but there were a lot more chairs this time so all's well that ends well.

Allie and her family had already been in Wallace a couple weeks and the weather was abysmal for them - cold, rainy, dreary. The day we showed up and all weekend we were there it was sunny, warm, and perfect.

Allie and I dipped our toes in the water and chit chatted.

Jane doesn't get in water so she vegged in the shade and waited not-so-patiently for us to be done.

I tried using my tripod to get a selfie of me in front of my parent's cute house but couldn't get the timer right. At least my hair is fire LOL! Allie grabbed my phone and took a few the traditional way. Sometimes technology is our best friend, other times it's a bust.

As always, each family had a turn preparing a meal for everyone. My sister's family was in charge of dinner the first night and they made yummy lettuce wraps. We always make lots of extras because it's not just the Tom Taylor family that comes to Wallace, it's also the John Taylor and David Taylor families and some additional friends! The more the merrier!

We definitely need more tables and chairs next year.

Family is everything!

Then we made our first trek of many to the gas station so Grandma could buy everyone an ice cream cone.

I didn't bring my tripod on this outing so Chris volunteered as tribute to snap the family photo.

Naomi is my cousin but is actually younger than Jane and they have an absolute blast together. I'm so glad they could make it this year!

Fox loves cats and cats love Fox.

Last year we thought this black cat was named Grey which is silly because she's black, but it turns out her name is Juniper.

Juniper got lots of loves from Fox every single day because she lives next door to the Airbnb we rented across the street from my parents.

My parent's cute house in Wallace. Well, one of their two... the haunted house on the corner is still derelict. They fired their contractor after literally no work was done for over 3 years and have found someone hopefully more reliable, knock on wood.

Early the next morning Chris and I got up to exercise.

We raced up and down these eternal flights of stairs.

It was quite the workout, just what the doctor ordered!

I always request that my family members wear only red, white & blue for the duration of the vacation and Zula understood the assignment.

I lost track of how many times we went to the 1910 for specialty drinks. My sister's kids said, "Mommy needs her drink so she can function" LOL. Truer words have not been spoken - caffeine is essential for us moms to function.

My sister ordered a special bouquet for Malm so we went and picked it up. Isn't it pretty?!

As per tradition, Grandma passes out a $20 bill to everyone! She's so generous!!

The parade is the perfect length of time, just about a half hour, and somehow the kids get as much candy as on Halloween!

There seemed to a be a lot more people this year which is fun - spread the Wallace love!

At first Isabel was a little scared of the loud sirens, but once she realized candy was being thrown at her, she perked right up and got in on the action.

My dad, Naomi, Fox, Jane, Jude, and Wes rode in the blue Jeep and tossed out candy. Until it broke down just a few yards away lol.

Then most of us headed to the Kellogg Pool - we'd never been before.

There was a kiddie pool for the littles to splash around in.

And a big pool with a diving board for the bigger kids to jump off of.

And then there's Jane who refuses to touch water.

We headed back a little early to start cooking dinner. Chris made everyone spaghetti. I don't cook.

Summer evenings in Wallace consist of ATV rides, little bike rides, and mini motorcycle rides.

There's a brand new pickleball and basketball court around the corner so we spent quite a bit of time there letting out excess energy and getting mildly competitive.

I hope it's still here next year - you never know with Wallace!

Fox had bought a big bag of Reese's Pieces at Walmart and I convinced my dad to put them in his famous chocolate chip cookies. They were a smashing success. I ate 6.

The next morning was the 4th of July!

My dad treated everyone to breakfast at the Brooks Hotel.

Have to laugh to keep from crying at our waitress's photography skills or lack thereof LOL.

I'd never been on this hike before, it was soooo beautiful!

We thought it was 2 miles round trip, turned out to be 2 miles up, 2 miles back. Oh well, we got our steps! The river and tunnel at the end were totally worth it.

Allie & I took Daisy, Zoe, Jude & Wes all around town so they could spend their $20. It was EXHAUSTING HAHAHA! We went into about 8 shops and at each one they touched a zillion things but miraculously didn't break anything. When we got home I took Chris back to an antique shop so he could buy me 5 sets of different Halloween salt and pepper shaker tchotchkes.

Allie brought 3 unopened dumplings for the three Taylor kids (me, Eric, Allie) to open - she was hoping for a pregnant one or something, I don't even know, I can't get on board with these micro trends lol. She and I both got a pink one and Eric got a green one. Not the ones she wanted whomp whomp.

Then it was time for the 4th of July BBQ!

Tate grilled up the burgers and hot dogs and everyone contributed to the feast.

A few hours earlier, my dad went and literally rescued a young family from their ward after a scary incident on the river where many of them almost drowned. I've had my own near-death experience when our raft was purposefully tipped over (thanks Jay) and I couldn't resurface so I know the trama. We walked back to the flag after the BBQ to get more photos.

Then we busted out the sparklers and smoke bombs and poppers!

He shot up Allie, Tanya, and my Aunt Natalie. Next year my cousin Cat needs to come so she can partake :)

Little Miss Thang!

We considered blasting off our myriad of fireworks in an empty parking lot but it was still so bright so we walked back to the corner where we always light them off.

Short and sweet - perfect!!

The next morning, Allie's family headed out at like 4am and the rest of us had a chill day in Wallace.

We went to church in Pinehurst, watched a World Cup game while I stitched, then we packed up and drove to Green Acres.

It was such a beautiful night at my parent's house - we walked around the property, got Chipotle for dinner, and watched the Bad Blood episode of X-Files together - I'll forever remember this evening. We grew up watching X-Files together.

The next morning we packed up and flew home to be reunited with our cats and bunny! I'm not sure if we'll be back for a 7th year in a row but it seems pretty likely so I'm already counting down the days!
