High school football kicked off tonight with two new schools competing in their first ever football game. Stansbury hosted Maple Mountain and came out victorious, winning the game 35-7.

Here are a few pictures from my ride along with the Ogden Police Department last week. I could only hang out for a couple of hours, but things got exciting when the one guy with an outstanding $10,000 warrant for his arrest tried to flee. He only made it about seven steps before he was tackled to the ground.

Last month, Matt Aune and Derek Jones were detained by security guards from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after they were seen "kissing and hugging" on the church's Main Street Plaza. In protest, there have been three kiss-in's. Here are a few pics from kiss-in 1&3.

Thousands of members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints staged a mass gathering at the Matheson Courthouse and the City and County Building to show their opposition to the proposed sale of the farm and the dismantling of the United Effort Plan Trust Wednesday July 29, 2009. Third District Judge Denise Lindberg did not make a final decision, but said the best solution to the dispute over the farm may be to accept sealed bids.

Crawford was born in 1914 and his father William Crawford was a farmer and a photographer who raised his family in a home just two hundred yards south of the present-day Human History Museum in Zion National Park.
