Now presenting, the all new Chris Leary Photography website!

Last night I was looking at my website and on a whim, I thought what if I…

So I took a deep breath, and then several hours later, and then into the wee hours of the morning (once I start something I can’t stop!), I now have a completely new, modern and fresh look to my photography website! Gone are the days of “Portraits by Chris Leary Photography”, from here on out, I’ll just simply be known as “Chris Leary Photography” Hey, I even have a new logo!

The details: This site is self customized WordPress theme called Prophoto 4. What I love about the Prophoto Blogs is that you don’t need to be an html coding genius or java script guru, because that’s all taken care of for you. Just decide how you want the site to flow, pick some colors, and then add your content - voilà! Plus, the no flash photography galleries ensures me that no matter the device, whether an ipad, iphone, or any web browser, my audience and readership always see my pictures. Yeah!

And speaking of content – my collective body of photography work has gone beyond just children and family portraiture, so what better way to begin to share my latest work than with a brand spanking new photography site, and this first blog post.

The picture above was taken with my iphone during a walk over the George Washington Bridge one morning last summer. Whenever I look downtown, my heart still aches, and I suspect it always will. The memory of what once stood there not so long ago, reminds me how often I took that precious view for granted, and how our lives can suddenly change. I no longer want to simply walk on by, but now pause, even for just a moment, to reflect upon the ever changing horizon.
