Today, Josh and I were talking about Tumblr and how it’s kind of weird. The topic came up because one of my Groundhog Day drawings got added to Tumblr Radar (which I was totally excited about). Very quickly the amount of notes on the post sky-rocketed, at the moment it’s well past 11,000. If you aren’t familiar, notes consist of people hearting or reblogging posts. Strangely enough all of this action didn’t send much new traffic to my site. Josh’s take was that people aren’t really paying attention to what they do on Tumblr, this line was his impression of someone Tumblin’. I think Tumblr is great, but sometimes it seems like people don’t realize the images actually come from somewhere. Speaking of Tumblr, do you follow me there? I won’t feel bad if you don’t, I mostly just feed it with these posts.

This quote came from Stephen Colbert while referring to his SuperPAC, which by the way, has raised 1 million dollars. Crazy. I really love how much attention he has brought to these crazy SuperPACs that are hijacking our political system.

Super PACs can raise unlimited sums from corporations, unions and other groups, as well as individuals. Made possible by two court rulings that lifted many spending and contribution limits, Super PACs can also mount direct attacks on candidates not allowed in the past.

I read an article this morning about a girl who has only eaten chicken nuggets (mostly) for the past fifteen years. To make matters worse, they usually came from McDonalds. After horrified doctors told her that this would kill her she said “I am starting to realize this is really bad for me.”

During one of the many recent Republican debates Mitt Romney offered to bet Rick Perry $10,000 that he didn’t edit text in a new addition of his book. This a perfect example of how out of touch he is with the average American.

I’m not a big sports fan, but after working with the Alphabet Arm guys for 4 years, I couldn’t help but follow the Patriots games. It’s been about 2 years since I left Alphabet Arm, but I still catch myself watching a game every now and then. Today was the championship game against the Ravens and the Pats just barely won. In the final seconds the Ravens missed what should have been an easy—and game tying—field goal. All I could think of was Ace Ventura… LACES OUT!!!
