Kami + Nick {Cambria, CA Wedding}

If you follow my blog, you’ll know that my and Allegra’s dream wedding was to get married on the cliffs of the ocean with just our close friends and family near by. Shooting this wedding was nothing shy of the picture I had in mind….it was intimate, breath taking and totally Kami and Nick! From the first time I met them, Kami and Nick were an amazing couple to work with! I got to know them pretty well while we drove around taking their engagement photos, but shooting their wedding allowed me to become closer friends with them and to see how wonderful these two really were. Here are some of my favorites from the day, I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did taking them.

Tara and Jason are some of the most likable people. I really enjoyed their engagement session (the day before) and was honored to be a part of their wedding at the Monday Club. Here are a few from their day.

Tara + Jason [San Luis Obispo Engagement Session]

Since Tara and Jason were from out of town they decided to shoot their engagement photos the day before their wedding….but you would’ve never known it! They were both so calm and confident with each other throughout the session which made for an awesome time with these two. Here are a few I captured.

Heather + Matt [San Luis Obispo Engagement Session]

San Luis Obispo is Heather and Matt’s old stomping grounds, so they decided they’d like to drive around and take their engagement photos here. Hearing their story and seeing their infatuation with each other made for an awesome time to hang out with these two. Heather’s kind heart and glowing personally seemed to be contagious…spend any amount of time with these two and I promise you’ll find yourself smiling too!

Jessica + Drew [Pebble Beach Wedding]

Jessica and Drew were such a fun cute couple to work with! As soon as I got to the venue, I was greeted with a big warm smile and welcome from Jessica and her friends and family….at that point I knew today would be full of love for these two. Seeing her family interact with Drew’s family reminded me of one of my favorite things about shooting weddings; I get to document the beginning of (at least) two families merging, some times meeting for the first time, and capture moments that my clients and their families will share and remember forever.

Miranda + Rob [Carmel Wedding]

Miranda and Rob invited me to capture their day at one of Allegra and I’s favorite places…Carmel Valley. Throw in the over cast skies, a couple of awesome people to shoot and mix in some down time to see the aquarium and you get one fun little get away! Capturing their day truly was a blast.

Kami + Nick San Luis Engagement Session

I had a great time meeting Kami and Nick and shooting their engagement session. One of the best things about shooting weddings is the time I get to spend with the couples during their engagement session. Being able to spend time with them before their big day allows me to get a glimpse of who they are as a couple. I quickly discovered how great these two complimented each other…..I think these pictures show it.
Part of getting to know Kami and Nick was discovering their two cute little shichons. In general I’m not a huge dog fan, but these two were enough to convince me that I want one…seriously, ask Allegra I was telling her all about them!

Jessica + Drew San Luis Engagement Session

Jessica and Drews engagement session started off with driving through the back country of San Luis Obispo. Despite the crazy windy day and scouting multiple locations to avoid the gusts and wind blown hair, these two were troopers and were full of fun loving laughter! I had a blast….I hope you enjoy!I was so stoked to use this “better together”pennant banner by Lisa Leonard Designs!This first photo on the left is a perfect snap shot of how Drew gazed at his bride to be for most of the photo session. From the moment I captured the first frame, it was obvious how in love they were. I can’t wait to head up to Carmel for their wedding in a couple of months!

Alexis + Wade [Holland Ranch Engagement Session]

Alexis, Wade and I met up at Holland Ranch for their engagement photos on one of the most perfect sunny days! They will be getting married later this year at this venue (one of my favorites) and thought it would be fun to capture some memories there before the big day. These two are “true country” with their boots, smiles and laid back personalities. I can’t wait for their hay bale, country playin’, boot stompin’ party!
