How to use separate profiles in Chrome

Here you have a tutorial on how to create separate profiles for Google Chrome.

Open Chrome installation folder at:
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome (for Windows Vista)
C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome (for Windows XP)

Go to User Data folder available inside Chrome installation folder.

Create a copy of the “default” folder in the “User Data” folder itself. Give that copy a name.

To run Google Chrome using this profile instead of the default profile, create a shortcut on your desktop by right-clicking on desktop, choose New -> Shortcut and enter location:
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe –user-data-dir=”..\User Data\Your_Name” (for Windows Vista)
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe –user-data-dir="..\User Data\Your_Name" (for Windows XP)

How to Create a New Google Chrome Theme V2

The first how-to is here. Now I created a script that replaces all resources in default.dll file. That makes our work a lot easier.

Download New Theme KIT V2 and extract the zip file to any folder on your computer.

Step 1:

Edit the files in images folder.

Step 2:

Download Resource Hacker, extract and put all files next to replace-resources.bat.

Step 3:

Run replace-resources.bat - this will create a default.dll file with your new theme.

Don't change the size of the png files when editing them.

How to Create a New Google Chrome Theme

Download New Theme KIT and extract the zip file to any folder on your computer.

Step 1:

Edit the files in images folder.

Step 2:

You can use the original default.dll, from the Chrome installation directory or the downloaded one. Open the default.dll with Resource Hacker and expand "BINDATA". Now you will see resource files starting with 9000.

Replace the changed resource files, one by one, like this.

Right-click on resource
Click on "Replace Resource"
Browse to the correspondent file you edited - keep in mind only correspondingly numbered png's from this package will be compatible with the respective png's in dll. Dont mess the numbers up.
In "Resource Type" write BINDATA
In "Resource Name" white number corresponding to the file you want to replace
In "Resource Language" type 1033
Continue this process for all the files

First Three Coloured Themes

Here are the first coloured themes for Google Chrome.

Dark, Green, Orange:

Black [306Kb] (darker than the dark one)

How to Install:

To install these themes, download your desired theme copy the default.dll file and replace the one found in
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\0.2.149.27\Themes\

Notes:

These themes only affect Windows XP since in Windows Vista is used the system color.
