Have you ever went to find a file on your computer and cannot find it? I know I have done that a few times. It seems that the file has vanished into thin air and no matter how many puppy dog searches I do I cannot find the file. My thoughts are if only I had backed up the file or printed a hard copy. Usually I don’t think twice about backing up my computer files. I have this false sense of security. I’m mistaken thinking that it’s not going to happen to me. I know that after living with lupus, which I didn’t think would happen to me. The joke was on me.

Well, I actually need to back up the files on my computer. I have pictures of my daughter, software programs, and Microsoft Word files. If I lost all of these programs I’d be pretty disappointed. I’m going to use a service called IDrive Online Backup to back up the files on my computer online. You receive 2 GB of storage space for free or 150 GB of storage space for only $4.95 or $49.95 a year. It’s a small price for piece of mind when it comes to priceless memories or computer software that you don’t have a CD back up. I’m going to check out the free one for some of my favorite pictures. I really should print out the pictures to have a hard copy of the pictures too.

My garden is doing pretty well so far. One of the tomatoes has a lot of small green tomatoes on it. The smaller tomato plants just started showing some buds. I can not wait until the flowers fall off and the tomatoes start growing. My green peppers are growing slowly, but I’m only hoping that they produce more buds. A one dollar green pepper plant can produce at least a dozen nice size green peppers. It’s disappointing when the prices of green peppers are one dollar a pepper. It doesn’t make much sense how expensive the tomatoes and green peppers cost. I was going to plant some beans this year, but we started growing late. So my garden will come in later. I love the taste of home grown produce. I love to grow naturally. I’d love to have a full garden, but I’m happy with my small, but cheery garden. I’ll take some pictures soon to share them.

We’ve had a glass hummingbird feeder for a few years now. I really like watching them buzz like bees while they suck up the sugar water we’ve mixed together. We mix a half of a cup of sugar, water and red food dye together for perfect hummingbird food. The great thing about the hummingbird is you don’t have the messy bird seed all over the ground. This year we bought a new feeder for our visitors. Most of the hummingbirds we see are the ruby throated hummingbird. The remind me of a large bee because of the noise the wings make when they flap. A few times I’ve nearly got dive bombed by them. Sometimes it’s nice to watch these brilliant animals when you’re not feeling so hot from being sick. I’ve learned to enjoy the beauty of nature.

“I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble.”

(One of my favorite things to say to my daughter is she needs to take baby steps, which means the same as the above quote.)

“It is a terrible thing to see and have no vision.”
(Wow-I love this one.)

“All the world is full of suffering. It is also full of overcoming. ”

(I think this one tells a lot about someone living with a chronic illness and overcomes the many ups and downs.)

“Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.”

(This goes to show we all need to explore the outside world in order to achieve. We cannot achieve much looking at a wall.)

I’ve always thought Helen Keller is simply inspirational. Even though she could not see or hear she still enjoyed life to the fullest. I think we could all learn a thing or two from Helen Keller.

Trying to get a goods night sleep with my bed is next to impossible. I’m tired of the feeling so wore out before I get out of bed. Some days, I don’t want to get out of bed, but the pain and fatigue give me no choice. I usually get something to eat so I can take my pain medication. Taking pain medication on an empty stomach upsets my stomach. I would love to purchase a memory foam mattresses and a new bed frame. I’ve heard a lot about the benefits of those mattresses for aches and pains from friends online. At this point anything would be worth helping with the pain. When I purchase a new mattress I would like to purchase a bed with storage underneath it. I really like the Ottoman Storage beds from time 4 sleep. The bed lifts up so you can store sheets, blankets or even shoes away for seasonal changes. It would free up a lot of space in my linen closet, which is not much room. The bed comes in at least 5 different colors and I don’t know which color to choose. I would purchase the double sized bed. It would probably be wise to pick a color that goes with my dressers. It will take me a while to save the money for a new bed, but it would be such a relief from my pain.

Today, I was looking all over the internet for some new shoes for my daughter. She wants a pair of Etnies in pink and black. I don’t even know if they sell those colors together. I’ve surfed all over the web until I’m blue in the face. Kids sure do ask for the darndest things. On my travels through cyberspace, I found a site called Best Online Coupons that offers Endless Shoes and Handbags promotional code . They’ve got a coupon for just about everything. I was surprised how many of the big companies offer great deals. I need to buy a new freezer so I’m going to look for coupon codes for Sears or Target or somewhere else that sells chest freezers. I’m trying to get out of the deliver fee of $65.00 on top of the price of the freezer and that doesn’t include the $10.00 haul away fee. I remember when you could get free delivery and they would take the old one away for free. It’s sad when they want to nickel and dime you for everything. I’m hoping to find a coupon code to save a few bucks. I found a coupon code for Petsmart, which will save me 12% on my purchase of dog collars and leashes. My dog’s retractable leash has seen better days and the collars are stretched out. I’m going to purchase a martingale collar for my male dog for some training. I love this site so much I’m bookmarking it.

Micheal Jackson was pronounced dead at the UCLA hospital yesterday from a heart attack. It’s a sad day in America for all of his fans and most of all his family. Many people may not know that he had Lupus according to what I’ve read in the past. It makes me wonder if the cardiac arrest was related to the Lupus. Then the talk of him abusing drugs is very sad. Chances are if he was abusing drugs it may have been from the pain associated with lupus. Anyone in chronic pain understands just how unbearable it can be to be in pain everyday of your life.Sometimes it’s hard to control the pain. My condolence to the family. It’s so obvious he is loved. RIP the “King of Pop” Michael Jackson. You are loved all over the world and you legacy will live on.

During my pregnancy, it was difficult to find stylish and well fitting maternity clothes. I was stuck with wearing clothing that looked more like a nightgown or housecoat than daytime clothing. On top of that it seemed like everyone in town was pregnant. Kiki Fashions has a lot of great maternity outfits for all stages of pregnancy. I’ve seen a few nice tops and bottoms if I was expecting a baby. They’re even offering a coupon code of “blogfriends”, which will get you 20% off your purchases. This discount is especially important with the economy being so bad. Even if they didn’t offer the coupon code the prices are not bad.
