About a year ago, our CEO, Alex Charfen was invited to appear on a cable news show. He was asked for an explanation as to why home sales were going up, but mortgage applications were going down. His response was… investors. This answer was quickly dismissed by the host of the show, but it’s turning out Alex is right. Real estate investor activity is absolutely surging!

As we’ve stated before, real estate investor activity rose from 17% to 27% from 2010 to 2011. And consider this: The Detroit News recently published a story of a foreclosure auction in which there were 403 residential units, 235 vacant land units, and 7 commercial units up for sale. One person paid $4.8 million for ALL the properties.

The secret is out. Real estate investing is on the rise, and high net-worth investors are pouring into the market.

A recent article from CNBC described the status of the housing market, and it brought out some insights that could prove to be great signs for the investor market.

According to the article, the U.S. is approaching a 15-year low in home ownership, however the housing market seems to be recovering. How does this happen? Investors.

From 2010 to 2011, the percentage of investor activity in the real estate market rose from 17% to 27%! Rental vacancies are at their lowest since 2001 and the average rent asking price in America rose 5% in a single year.

All of this spells out a tremendous opportunity for anyone who is interested in getting into the real estate investment market.

Did you know the housing market is turning around so quickly that some parts of the country actually have a housing shortage?

The latest reports from the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, and industry experts state that the housing market has turned the corner, and its recovery is picking up speed. In fact, home prices in all regions of the country are showing improvements, and in some markets, inventory is so low that would-be buyers are scrambling to make offers and bidding wars are erupting. Alex discussed these trends and gave tips for adapting to the new environment on the July CIAS Member Broadcast.

Expert CIAS Instructor Branden Lowder—who lives in a highly competitive market with a housing shortage: Los Angeles, California—was featured on the broadcast. Branden offered his insight into staying on top in the midst of the changes.

How attractive is the residential real estate market? As is turns out, very much so. Cash-flow opportunities are so plentiful in the real estate investment market, that even commercial real estate companies are jumping in and buying up properties.

The Blackstone Group has purchased $250 million worth of foreclosed single-family homes to rent out, as well as an additional 1,500 distressed properties across America.

The real estate investment market is one of the few markets an individual investor can compete with large hedge funds for properties. This is all adds up to one of the best investment opportunities in the country.

Did you know there were a million new opportunities for investors to cash flow in 2011 alone?

The Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies’ “2012 State of the Nation’s Housing Report” stated the number of renter households grew by 1 million in 2011 and it’s the largest increase since the 1980s. The number of home sales also increased more than 16.7% in this year’s first quarter. What will this mean for the housing market? Alex Charfen discussed these statistics and explained the advantages of a strong media presence on June’s CIAS Member Broadcast.

On the broadcast, one of our own CIAS members, Jennifer Clark from central Florida shared her company’s success story with investors. She has a great ongoing relationship with a Canadian Investment group and shared with us how easy it is to work with them!

Last month, Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies released their State of the Nation’s Housing report. In the report, there is significant data detailing the growing gap between the affordability of buying a home and renting one.

Since 2008, the cost of buying a home has continued to decrease and has become less expensive than renting a home. The difference between the two is extra cash flow and an incredible opportunity for all real estate investors. Is it the right time to invest in real estate? Yes!

The return on investment is amazing, as many investors are averaging well over a 10% return on their investments. This is an opportunity everyone should be paying attention to right now!

CIAS Designation holders are in the best position to help out Billionaire Warren Buffett. Known as the Oracle from Omaha, many claim he has Economic X-Ray Vision. What you may not know (and probably should) is he recently stated his desire to buy a “couple of 100,000″ residential properties. If you’re asking yourself why would a Billionaire need me… the answer is simple. Because you work on Main Street (not Wall Street), you have a competitive advantage money can’t buy.

This week Alex Charfen, author of the CIAS and CDPE designation has prepared a new opportunity for you.

Because attracting investors is about connecting with people, I just made a video (using my iPhone 4S) to connect you with my team of professional web designers, programmers, and writers who designed CIAS Advanced. These people built the “Investor Attraction System”. They followed the same the principles you learned in your CIAS training (some are former Realtors). Then built a system as if they were going to use to actually use it themselves to attract investor business.
