Coleridge, Richard Wagner partilha a divisão do trabalho com Adam Smith, e a pintura de René Magritte é invocada a propósito de Louis Pasteur; Marilyn Monroe está associada ao carbono, Jules Verne e Jacques Offenbach celebram o oxigénio, Sebastião Salgado fotografa a alquimia sufocante do enxofre. E tudo começa com Joseph Haydn, e a sua oratória, A Criação.&lt;div&gt;

A química resulta de uma curiosidade básica: saber de que é que são feitas as coisas. Nesta fascinante digressão histórica, desde a época áurea dos Gregos (ou será desde o Big Bang?) até aos dias de hoje, &lt;b&gt;Jorge Calado&lt;/b&gt; mostra como a química moderna deriva do conhecimento do fogo da combustão e do raio do relâmpago, isto é, da energia. Calor e electricidade permitiram analisar a terra, a água e o ar, até chegar ao conceito de elemento, representado pelo átomo. Departamento de Física da Universidade do Estado do Arizona.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;A detecção desta &lt;a href="http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radia%C3%A7%C3%A3o_c%C3%B3smica_de_fundo"&gt;radiação cósmica de fundo&lt;/a&gt; ocorreu por acaso em 1965, por &lt;a href="http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arno_Penzias"&gt;Arno Penzias&lt;/a&gt; e &lt;a href="http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Woodrow_Wilson"&gt;Robert Woodrow Wilson&lt;/a&gt;, que acabaram por receber o prémio Nobel da Física em 1978. O cenário do jogo é uma casa de dois andares onde habitam, para além do jogador, o pai, a mãe e o irmão com comportamentos energéticos muito pouco racionais.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 19px;"&gt;O objectivo do jogo é elevar a eficiência do consumo de energia em casa. Para tal, o jogador deve corrigir os maus hábitos de consumo das restantes personagens e, assim, conquistar créditos. Sempre que o telefone tocar, o jogador deve “atender” e responder correctamente às perguntas colocadas (relacionadas com o tema de energia) e, assim, arrecadar ainda mais créditos. Os créditos acumulados podem ser trocados por electrodomésticos ou equipamentos que elevam o desempenho energético da casa e da família, devendo o jogador dirigir-se à loja online que o jogo contém. Em Abril descobriram-se evidências de água gelada no asteróide &lt;a href="http://www.ccvalg.pt/astronomia/noticias/2010/04/30_agua_gelada_24_themis.htm" target="_blank"&gt;24 Themis&lt;/a&gt;, seguido em Outubro pela descoberta de água num segundo asteróide, &lt;a href="http://www.ccvalg.pt/astronomia/noticias/2010/10/12_65_cybele_agua.htm" target="_blank"&gt;65 Cybele&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Em Julho, a sonda europeia &lt;a href="http://www.ccvalg.pt/astronomia/noticias/2010/07/13_rosetta_lutetia.htm" target="_blank"&gt;Rosetta passou a pouco mais de 3000 km do asteróide Lutetia&lt;/a&gt;, a caminho do seu alvo principal, o cometa Churyumov-Gerasimenko.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Uma equipa de astrónomos alemães e japoneses descobriu em Maio o &lt;a href="http://www.ccvalg.pt/astronomia/noticias/2010/05/11_enxame_galactico.htm" target="_blank"&gt;enxame galáctico mais distante até agora conhecido&lt;/a&gt;, a 9,6 mil milhões de anos-luz.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;2010 também ficou marcado pela descoberta de moléculas orgânicas  complexas no espaço e no material entre as estrelas. Considero que não há melhor lugar para confirmar as suas descobertas do que a Lua. Vou, por isso, deixar cair o martelo, que tenho na mão direita, e a pena, que tenho na mão esquerda, e espero que cheguem ao chão ao mesmo tempo.»&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nas imagens registadas, vê-se Scott a segurar no martelo e na pena, aproximadamente, à mesma altura, e a largá-los em simultâneo. Os dois objectos caem lado a lado e chegam ao chão praticamente ao mesmo tempo.
