Good day Sir, I just wanted to take a minute to inform you that the service tech (Brian Kuntz), that came to my rental home at 114 College View Dr. this past Monday 21st October 2013, is an outstanding representative of your company. Brian arrived on time and serviced our system. He came out last year too, and his return this year was exemplary as well. Brian was not only personable in his manners, but also took the little extra time with me to discuss some of the finer points of our heating system. He recommended the areas for placing a home CO2 alarm system, as I felt it was needed and wanted some educated options from someone who knew about this homes” heating system. Brian made some timing adjustments as needed and cleaned our system without leaving behind a trail of dust, and was off to the next stop with out delay. Sir, you have an outstanding employee in Brian and your company should be proud of his professional and friendly style.”

In order to avoid down time and costly repairs associated with this problem, it is very important to inspect the motor bearings frequently for early signs of problems. Regular servicing of your equipment through Preventive Maintenance contracts allows Cii Service”s professionals to examine your equipment and look for signs of bearing current damage. Our technicians can also listen for an audible bearing noise, which is usually the first symptom of a problem. Our technicians will also check constant speed operation.

There are several solutions to this problem including shaft grounding devices, insulated bearings, short conductor lengths, and shielded cable. There are many factors to consider when evaluating solutions for this problem.

The EPA is considering two options.  The first option is to leave the allowances the same as per the phaseout schedule, but the second option is to decrease the total production allocation by between 11 and 47 percent each year.  The EPA has asked for input from the Alliance for Responsible Atmospheric Policy and others in the industry and they anticipate a final determination later this year.  In the meantime, they are allowing production of R-22; but at a lower level, 45% of their last allocation amount.

Here at Cii, we closely monitor the actions of the EPA and have planned for the gradual phaseout of R-22.  We continually research and investigate alternative refrigerants and their impact on existing equipment.  We will stay updated on this situation and be ready for any changes in the marketplace.

What can our customers do?  We encourage our customers to contact us with any concerns.  We strongly suggest regular maintenance visits from our technicians to monitor and fix any leaks and talk to us about purchasing newer more energy efficient equipment.
