Opus WCU600 New Sortware Update 3.0 (CEDIA Expo London 2009)

The Opus WCU600 is a new wallpad for their 500 multiroom system. The WCU600 can display video from DVD,Apple TV, TV or CCTV systems and has an onscreen menu to access audio/video servers, iPod docks and anything else you can think of. It’s high contrast, backlit, 16 million colour 3.5" display is crystal clear and can be fully customised. A new 3.0 software has recently been released and is based on information from installers for 18 months which has allowed Opus to improve upon the WCU600 remote.

Roland Morcom présente le Meridian HD621, un processeur audio HDMI conçu pour être employé avec un processeur audio vidéo Meridian. Il se comporte comme un switch HDMI, qui se charge de séparer le son du signal vidéo HDMI. Le son ainsi extrait peut être sorti par 4 prises coaxiales (Smartlink), se chargeant chacune de canaux différents dans le cadre d’un son surround, ou par le biais d’une prise spécialisée MMHR. Cette interface Meridian se retrouve sur plusieurs de ses processeurs et permet le transfert du signal sonore surround par le biais d’un seul câble RJ45. Avec ce produit il est possible de gérer le son HD d’une interface HDMI avec des processeurs audio vidéo qui n’ont pas été prévus pour ça.
