You’re only two Fridays away. It feels like just yesterday that I was squirreling money away left and right. Has 365 days (in a really strange way.) really creeped on me like that? I can’t wait to see all the people who I haven’t seen in a year, but we act like we just saw each other yesterday. While the cosplay community does have its dark spots and downers, there’s a lot of positivity in it if you go looking for it.

It is seriously cruel that you leave your dog crated all damn day to bark its head off.

Not only that, you trap the dog underneath the trampoline in your yard and think it is absolutely hilarious as your crotch fruit runs/jumps around on top of the dog. That dog is barking from distress, not because he’s enjoying playing your sick little game. How about I run around on top of YOU?!

Some people have their conferences that they’re really passionate about whether it be the big blogging shindigs or Apple’s WWDC.

For me, I’m all about Google I/O. Google’s own conference about their products whether it be Google products in general (like Maps!),  Chrome or Android.

I’m sure a lot of people were holding out for Key Lime Pie or the next .dot release of Jellybean.

Instead, we got the ‘Pure Google’ Samsung Galaxy S4. I was amused greatly at the silence after the $649 pricetag. But hey, you bought your I/O ticket, RIGHT? RIGHT?

Attendees got a free Chromebook Pixel. (grrrrrr.)

Google Talk is turning into Google+ Hangouts and while I’m not quite on the G+ bandwagon yet (because zero of my friends actually use it, it’s completely useless for me.) I had an account but since deleted it because it was just a complete dead zone.

The new features are quite awesome though,  because you can share video, pictures and chat across any device. They’re always going to be there, so you can go back and check out the video/picture/chat logs later on. Kind of like a virtual memory lane.

Google Search/Now is basically now turning into Google’s Siri with a new voice search “hot words” feature. Fun stuff, It works on mobile AND desktop.

Google Racer. Slot cars. play across ANY device.

Might be hours of drunken/sober fun~

Google Music (my music platform of choice) got another UI overhaul and introduces “All Access” for $10/mo which is basically The Goog’s “Spotify Killer”.

I haven’t listened to the whole keynote yet, but those were the things I was able to watch.

In other life news, both my parents aren’t feeling well.

I leave for AnimeNEXT in 22 days.

If I get sick any time before then, I will wring someone’s neck.

1. 1 year ago I was doing…

Not so well, I was stuck in a rut. Pretty unhappy. Things were running into brick walls and overall just not working my favor.

I was close to relasping, because I was just so frustrated with how things were going.

Last May was a very…angry month for me.

I was frustrated with the SSDI rollercoaster and wanted OFF!

I cut all my hair off and donated it.

I broke things off with my former partner and  started dating Sarah.

I was trying to figure out if I wanted to continue doing the whole blogging thing and was feeling pretty burnt out. I’m glad I stuck it out (with some heavy changes for my frickin’ insanity.) and really enjoy it now because I’m not blogging for an audience or trying to ‘fit in’ anymore.

I’m blogging for ME on MY terms.

2. 5 years ago I was doing…

Very well. I had money. I had a job.  I played Final Fantasy XI for the first time. I had no complaints and I was overall a very happy person.

Sadly two years later, shit would hit the fan.

I went to my first convention ever.

3. 10 years ago I was doing…

(2003)

I lost my grandfather.

I was very depressed and suffering from an eating disorder.

I didn’t know what I was doing with my life at all (and I still don’t) while all my other friends had all their after-high school plans already taken care of.

I was trying to figure out my sexuality.

I first met my best friend Tarek and my ex-partner this year as well.

I didn’t want to be on this earth at all, but I hung around for others that “needed me”.

These people no longer speak to me.

4. 1 year from now I’ll be doing…

(2014)

I’m hoping the Disability Case Journey comes to a end this year, and I’m able to get myself back on my feet financially and maybe start venturing outside of the nest more often

5. 5 years ago I’ll be doing…

(2018)

Hopefully married to the love of my life and livin’ it up somewhere awesome with our furchildrens.

6. 10 years from now I’ll be doing…

(2023)

I really don’t plan this far ahead, if the above doesn’t happen to fall into the 5 year park, hopefully it does in the 10 year.

But I’m really all that really rushed to the future.

I’m taking it one day at a time right now.

Today I received word that my request for a hearing in front of an Administrative Law Judge has been submitted and I had some paperwork to fill out and send back (basically the same form I’ve filled out times before that lists if I had any changes in my limitations and ailments.)

Nope, still got cerebral palsy, still get anxiety and panic attacks.

No changes.

It’s said that it may take 8-10 months before I receive a hearing date. (January/March 2014)

No big deal really, I mean I already hit the year mark in this whole shebang, why not another one?

Another piece of awesome news is that I was selected to review Influenster’s Spring Fever box so I’m excited to get that.

ROII released on May 1st, 2013 is the 3D version of the original Ragnarok Online, released on June 1, 2003.

I didn’t play Ragnarok Online until it went Free To Play in 2011, and enjoyed every minute of it.

However, like RO, ROII’s leveling system is a pain in the neck. You level verrrry slowly for the work you put into it and the only real ‘fast way’ to level, is to sell your soul to millions of quests and they get harder as you go on, thinking your Level 5 Magician is going to take down a Level 5 ‘mini-boss’ only to discover how high this fucker’s HP is…

So you go in search of MORE quests to level up so you can take on the ‘mini-boss’ of the other quest you’re trying to complete.

Ragnarok Online II is certainly a time-waster, and that’s about all it ever will be. It isn’t something that you’d want to be in for the long haul.

Also worth mentioning, there’s a few bugs, glitches and translation goofs.

I ran into issues with needing NVIDIA Physx, and it was giving me grief until I ‘uninstalled’ Mcafee (which was NEVER on my PC, ever to begin with as I always used MS Security Essentials and well, I know how to browse the fucking Internet properly…)

Once I got Physx installed, it was smooth sailing.

Some people are reporting issues where the anti-hacking thingymabob thinks they’re hacking into the game and doesn’t allow them to create a character…

But hey, at least the graphics are pretty.

Perverted typos…and I’m pretty certain they didn’t appreciate  me following them around just to get this screenshot. LOL
