Love Came Down...

Our Christmas celebrations commenced with the Christmas Lights concert. A concert attendee writes 'Didn't think it was possible but even more amazing then last year! Well done to all involved. What a treat. Like opening pressies on Christmas day each act was wrapped differently. As each new act unfolded, we in the audience found ourselves at moments laughing with the comedic elves, joyful rejoicing and singing along, or mesmerized and inspired anew by fresh and exciting takes on well known Christmas Carols and stunning performances of songs which were not only reverent but stirring.' Over 3000 people attended the 2 nights involving over 100 team members from vocalists, musicians, dancers, actors and production crew. Jesus was celebrated spectacularly and many were blessed by this great event.

Our Love Came Down Giving Tree provided the opportunity to shine light and love into the Brisbane community this Christmas. Thank you to all the volunteers involved with making someone's Christmas a little brighter.

Hundreds of women were blessed, changed, restored, refreshed and impacted at Citipointe's Secret Women's Business Conference 'Beloved' for 2012 as God poured out His presence on His daughters united as one.

Host Ps Leigh Ramsey & worship leader Becky Lucas prepared the platform for the timely and powerful messages shared by Guest Speakers Dr Caroline Leaf, Ps Leanne Matthesius & Ps Vanessa Hoyes and Citipointe's own Ps Karolina Gunsser.

SWB Conference was also privileged to host numerous Senior Pastors from around Australia.

Walk the Talk

Our generation is craving authenticity. They want to see words backed up by deeds, and genuine solutions bringing relief to the needs they see around them.

We live in a day where the bride of Christ, the Church, is poised and ready to move, not just speak. She is rolling up her sleeves, getting her hands dirty, and venturing into territories once unvisited. She is the hope of her world.

Critics have and will argue what she believes, but they cannot dismiss her works. They can debate her doctrine and her teaching, but they cannot excuse away her deeds. How lovely is the one who walks the talk! How transformational is a message made real through action!

I love that Citipointe Church breaks into dark places and delivers hope to the ones and twos, to individuals and families.

Intercepting young lives through Red Frogs programs
Feeding multitudes in high schools every week
Providing emergency relief funding to families in our communities
Rescuing children from trafficking internationally
Providing support to young mums

Time would fail me to list here all the opportunities we have to walk out the Cause of Christ day-by-day, week-by-week, month-by-month.

I count myself blessed to be a part of this move of God into our generation locally, nationally and internationally. I am glad to be positioned in a Church family that answers its critics with fruit. That sees a problem and finds a solution. That takes Church to the streets. That walks the talk.

I am overwhelmed with the great privilege we have of bringing Jesus to our generation. So blessed to be a blessing are we!

It's Not OK Challenge - 2012

More than 300 volunteers turned out in force to make a way for the countless life-changing moments that transpired.

Last weekend Citipointe Church was privileged to be able to fling wide our doors and our hearts to literally thousands upon thousands as we partnered with Joyce Meyer Ministries for three days filled with life-bearing Word-based teaching. Hundreds responded to the gospel message, receiving Christ as Saviour. Scores of others were set on their path towards restoration by Joyce's potent message of overcoming fear, trials and regret to live the full life purchased for them through Christ Jesus.

More than 300 volunteers turned out in force to make a way for the countless life-changing moments that transpired. Servanthood is the heart our God commissions us towards. Servanthood is also the undercurrent of our Church vision. Servanthood breaks down barriers, makes a way for others, and influences our world. Servanthood is the unexpected generosity our city and our generation is craving. And we graciously applaud every single volunteer who took up the call to servanthood over the weekend.

Last weekend was yet another step towards seeing Brisbane become the city of God!

Citipointe Breaking Through

Last Sunday, Citipointe you touched heaven with our Annual Breakthrough Offering day.

There were amazing scenes as people streamed to the front to bring their offering, but also their prayers of faith and hope for breakthrough in their own lives. The act of nailing prayers to the cross signified leaving our prayers at the cross where they belong. Church, we are looking forward to some great testimonies from you of Breakthrough in your life. Thank you for being such a generous church. Don't worry if you couldn't make it on Sunday, you can still give by going to Citipointe Giving

Citipointe Fiji Flood Appeal

Not long ago we saw the devastation that has affected Fiji for the second time this year and as a church we want to unmistakably influence our world for good and for God.

We have partnered with a charity organization in Fiji who are currently providing meals on a daily basis. They are feeding around 1500 people every day.

More than 12,000 people have been affected and are being housed in evacuation centres and temporary shelters. Many of the communities affected were severely impacted by raging floodwaters earlier this year.

As the flood waters subside, it is becoming increasingly obvious that the displaced Fijian people will be in need of more than just food – they will need clothing, bedding, toiletries etc…

Because of your previous giving to Kingdom Advancers as a church we have already transferred funds to this organization to assist in this food relief.

We are organizing for a container to be shipped to Fiji as soon possible. We’re looking for items of clothing etc and toiletries. These items can be dropped off at Citipointe Church this week.

Wrap Up - Easter Production 2012

The Easter Production, Who I Am, saw huge crowds coming along to see big musical numbers. This was the first year Citipointe has had to run a Production over two nights and to ticket the event, due to the massive crowds. With a mix between the modern and Jesus’ day, the story of the the death and resurrection of Christ was brought home with compelling emotion.

Easter is truly about the love our God has for us and this has to be the greatest love story ever told. It was a great opportunity for our church and community to stop and consider the incredible sacrifice that He made. Thanks to all the cast, crew and production team for presenting a night that so encouraged the hearts of our Church to connect with God this Easter.

Citipointe women united last night across all campuses to hear the Word of God from Ps Chris Pringle from 3C church in Oxford Falls
Sydney.

She Unites worship resounded in hearts as women pressed in to touch heaven; and they were not disappointed. God is truly breaking the
chains and building lives as strong pillars in the church.

Thank you Chris for challenging us and helping us to see that we are truly Daughters in the House.

Vison 2011 - Ends Of The Earth

At Citipointe, our vision is to 'unmistakably influence our world for good & for God'. We are called to spread this influence to as many sphere's and arenas as possible.

In Acts 1:8, Jesus says that:

...we will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon us and we will be His witnesses, telling people about Him everywhere - in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria and to the ends of the Earth.

These ancient geographical locations are portrayals of the different sphere's of influence that we are to have as the Body of Christ. The Church is not meant to be 'the church' only within the four walls of a sanctuary, but rather to be the 'light to this world' and the 'salt of the earth'.

In addition we believe that a disciple, at this House of God, is a person that... Loves God, Engages Somebody, Serves Generously, Connect Together and Discple Others. We are here to make a difference and bring good & God to this world.
