On July 7th, firefighters and marines tried to stop the fire during the explosion on the new little mudflow on West Siring Country side, Porong Sub-district, Sidoarjo, near the center of Lapindo's mud.

The 5-meter high blaze burnt a house. A maid in the house was slightly injured. The fire company extinguished the fires on Tuesday evening.

Until now, the authorities are still looking for a cause of this incident. It could be an accident or an act of sabotage since elections were held on July 8th.
