In conjunction with Activcity and Active Schools, we are delighted to be holding a fun day for future basketballers in Primary 1, 2 and 3.

All pupils from the schools listed below will receive an invitation from their Active Schools coordinator to the day on the 1st June 2013. This day will be the launch day for our new age group Mini Hoops.

In a fantastic final weekend for the Club, both Senior teams were successful in the 2013 Play-off finals at the Lagoon Arena in Paisley.

The Kats romped to a 82-47 win against the home team, St Mirren. Both our Senior Men and Senior Women are looking to finish their seasons on a high by completing the double - Scottish Cup and League Play-offs.

With the Cups already under their belts, the play-off finals take place on Saturday 27th April at the Lagoon Leisure Centre Arena, Paisley.

With only 8 girls available for the game, the "magnificent 8" stepped up to be the only winners from the Club in today's play-off games. The National League play-offs get into full swing this weekend with four of our teams involved.

The Senior Men are first up on Friday 15th when they travel to The Peak in Stirling to play The Knights, tip-off at 8pm. This is the first of a double-header, with the return match scheduled for the following Saturday at Portobello.

This weekend sees the finale of the Men's National League season and two of our teams are in contention in the last weekend.  The first league to be decided will be the Senior Men's - the outcome of the game on Friday 1st March, when the Kings take on Falkirk Fury, will determine the league winners.

Despite a defeat for the Cadette Women against a good Fury side, the 2 other Kats teams came away with convincing victories from the Mariner on Saturday 23rd February.

The Junior Women got off to a great start against Fury and never looked back. Some more exciting fast breaking basketball saw the girls record an 84- 52 win, winning all 4 quarters in the process. This weekend sees the two Edinburgh based basketball teams go head to head in the National League at Portobello High School as City of Edinburgh host Boroughmuir Blaze.

First up are the Cadet Men at 11am where the ever improving Kings men will be hoping to better the 15 point defeat they suffered in the Cup against Boroughmuir. The Junior Women team scored a good 69 - 50 win against Rocks at Portobello on Sunday.

Sandwiched between a loss for the Cadette Women and an overtime defeat for the Senior Women (2nd overtime loss on the bounce for the SW against Rocks), the Junior Women reinforced their 2nd spot in the league with this result.
