Active Schools and City of Edinburgh Basketball Club are running 2 Easter Camps this year from Monday 2nd April 2012 to Thursday 5th April 2012.

No previous basketball experience is necessary for the Primary session and all Primary 5 to Primary 7 pupils are welcome.

It was almost a 100% success rate as Edinburgh took on the West last weekend.

The Senior Men made no mistake against Glasgow Storm on Saturday at Portobello, with a comfortable 87-32 win, to maintain their position at the top of league with only four games remaining. Top scorers were Edgars and Simon with 18 points apiece.

This weekend, at Edinburgh University's Centre for Sport and Excercise in the Pleasance, two of our teams are bidding to hang on to their silverware from last year.

The Cadet Men take to the court early at 11:00am on Saturday. Their opponents are Boroughmuir Blaze, whom they have played and beaten only once this season, in a 52 - 55 overtime thriller at St Thomas' High. This weekend sees a full programme of league action at Portobello as all six National League teams take on their counterparts from St Mirren Reid Kerr College.

The Senior Men kick-off the proceedings with a Friday night game at 8:00pm. With St Mirren the only team to have beaten the Kings in the league this season, the game could prove to be interesting!

Last Saturday saw the club make it four wins out of four against Falkirk Fury!

Particularly impressive was the turnaround by the Senior Men after their disastrous Cup semi-final against Fury before Christmas. The men started strongly with a well controlled first quarter lead of 23-11. We will be running a raffle over the next three Saturdays at Portobello High School, to win two weekend passes to the Scottish Cup Finals on 4th/5th February 2012.

Tickets cost £1 a strip and will be available at the tuck shop area on these match days. The winner will be announced at the end of Saturday 28th January.

Congratulations are due to the Senior Women's and Cadet Men's teams who both won their semi-finals last Saturday to earn a place at the Scottish Cup Finals next year.

The Senior Kats faced a tricky tie away to Falkirk Fury at the Mariner Centre (never an easy venue to get a result!) and came away with a 66-51 victory.
