Spending time with your family is a very important part of your day. If you’ve been looking for something to do where your entire family can get together and have a blast, we suggest you catch a Family Fun Film at Johnson Road Park.

Come join the fun at Johnson Road Park.

Family Fun Films is a free event that will be taking place throughout the month of June. Mark your calendars for June 1st, June 8th, June 15th and June 22nd and make plans to attend one or all of these dates. The movies will start at 8pm and end around 10pm.

At this event, they will be showing some great family features that are entertaining for all ages. They will also be serving popcorn so you can enjoy a snack while you watch the movie.

Geeks Who Drink Trivia at Capital Bar

If you’ve never gone out and played some trivia at a local bar, then you are missing out on a good time. Add a few drinks and some delicious food to the equation and you’ve got a night filled with laughter and friendly competition. If you’re ready to test your knowledge, then try out Geeks Who Drink Trivia at Capital Bar.

Assemble your team and get ready for some trivia.

Every Thursday night at 7pm, you can come out and see if you and your friends have what it takes to be victorious. The quiz topics that are covered are unique and will really test your geek IQ. Some of the topics include celebrities in trouble, bad television and wordplay.

Each team consists of 6 members. If you don’t have enough to form a team, come out anyways and get recruited to other teams or try and take on the challenge all by yourself.

Capital Bar can be found on Morton Street in Fort Worth, just 25 minutes away from CityParc when you take I-35W South.

Beat the Heat at Burger’s Lake

Now that the warmer weather is here and summer is quickly approaching, it’s time to get outside and have some fun. A great way to spend your day is to beat the heat at Burger’s Lake. This fun-filled park will keep you cool and provide you with a great escape for the day.

Get ready for some outdoor fun at Burger's Lake.

Burger’s Lake is a 30-acre park that offers summer fun for all ages like going for a swim in their one-acre, spring-fed lake. When you get tired of swimming and want to catch some rays, hang out on their two sandy beaches.

Some other great amenities include over 300 picnic tables, 6 diving boards, a 20-foot slide, a 25-foot trapeze and charcoal grills for cooking. After you grab a bite to eat, head over to the volleyball court for some more fun in the sun.

This park is open from Mother’s Day to Labor Day, from 9am to 7pm. Kids under 6 get in for $5 and everyone else is $12.

Burger’s Lake is on Meandering Road in Fort Worth, just 30 minutes away from CityParc when you take I-35W South and I-820 West.

Sometimes the refrigerator is a place that is easily skipped during the cleaning process. However, cleaning your fridge is very important and can have some nasty consequences if you don’t. The last thing you want is for bacteria to begin building up and affecting your health. Check out these easy ways to clean your refrigerator:

Keep your refrigerator clean with these useful tips.

Put removable parts in the sink- Don’t hurt yourself trying to stretch to reach the corners and back wall of your fridge. Instead, take out the drawers and shelves and place them in the sink with some hot water and baking soda. Take a sponge or a toothbrush to get them good and clean before placing them back.

Start at the top- Start cleaning your fridge at the top and work your way down. This will keep dirty water from dripping and getting on the places that you’ve already cleaned. Be sure to wipe down the walls with a good cleaner.

Organize- Once the cleaning process is finished, place all the food back in an organized manner. Try to make everything visible and accessible. This is also a great opportunity to get rid of things that are out of date.

Throwing a dinner party is a great way to spend some time with your friends, family or neighbors. There’s nothing better than a relaxing evening with good company and good food in your CityParc apartment. If you’re planning on throwing a dinner party, here are a few tips to make it go smoothly.

Set a nice table with candles and flowers for a relaxing meal.

Plan ahead- This is probably the most important tip. The day before the party, make sure to make a list and get everything that you need in order to prepare. You don’t want to be rushing around looking for things the day of your get together.

Realize you can’t please everyone- These days, a lot of people have dietary restrictions or preferences that may make cooking rather difficult. Just do your best to have a varied menu with different delicious foods. Most likely, everyone will find something they can enjoy.

Ask for help- If throwing your dinner party is getting to be too stressful, you can always ask your significant other to lend a helping hand. You can also ask your friends to bring some dishes that way you don’t have to prepare as much.
