I am soooo excited to share with you the latest installment of the most awesome shoot.  I know that I say this every time that I have a shoot, but this shoot was different.  Brother and Sister team Mason and Molly come all the way from the Gold Coast to enjoy an amazing themed and styled shoot CkMetro style!  These kids played and laughed the afternoon away in a location to die for.  The Amazing styling, clothing and all the bits and pieces you see were the brain wave of Isabella from Design Me Vintage, I have worked together with Isabella before (you may remember the “Under the Australian sun shoot” to name but a few) and I was sooo excited to work with Isabella again !  Mason and Molly were two of the most obliging, happy go lucky kids in the world.  Every smile is genuine and heartfelt, and one word summed this shoot up as “FUN” pure and simple outdoor fun!

Our stunning location was set on a miniature horse stud called Willoughby Park Miniature Horse Stud.  The  owners are wonderful down to earth people Donna and Steve were so generous to “Loan” us Donna’s prized miniature horse, who’s name was HOPE, who was by far the most well behaved horse I have come across. To get an idea of the size of these beautiful animals see how high they stand when Mason and Molly are standing next to HOPE   A huge thank you to you guys for making the day very special.  Last but not least thank you to the amazing team from Design me Vintage, Isabella, Dave and Peytie and last but not least thank you to wonderful parents Haylie and Wade.      Bella and I have got our thinking caps on for some more fun in the very near future.  If this is your idea of having wonderful images of your beautiful children then give me a call and I can make some suggestions !!… WATCH THIS SPACE

Underwater photography is nothing new, infact there are many people on the internet that specialise in only underwater photography and are very inspiring. Prior to putting in a pool at our house I had always been fascinated and once the pool went in it was time to do some testing which is exactly what it is, you never really know what you are exactly going to end up with when you do underwater photography.  One of my long term clients wanted some different photos of their daughter so the conditions were good and the pool was heated so I suggested a dip in the pool was in order.  I am very pleased to provide you with the sneak peak of the results from this shoot.  A huge thank you to everyone involved and Matilda you were amazing.  Hope you enjoy these !! – Darren

Past clients Carly and Damian come to visit the studio recently to get some photos of the newest edition, 12 days old Mila !! Once we got this little miss to sleep she was the perfect angel.  It was such a wonderful morning apart from the fact that the heating was well…… Warm !!! and a few trips outside into the cool air was in order.  Carly & Damian have a daughter already Elliotte who I photographed some time ago so it was wonderful to update the family album again for you guys. I have had the pleasure of knowing the mead family now for about 2 years.  Tracey (mum) called me to update the family album so to speak.  Allow me to introduce the “Gang” – we have Tracey and Stu (mum and Dad) to Jordan, Nathan, Cassandra and the youngest of the clan Cameron.  We had a wonderful family afternoon and were lucky enough to experience a beautiful break in the clouds on a hill for some of the last shots which are simply stunning.  Thanks Tracey for the visit, it is so nice to see the kids as they grow !! – Until then enjoy the sneak peak ! – If you are not a fan of CkMetroPhotos – Follow me on FB here !

It seriously gives me the greatest of pleasure to introduce the next family, before I do I would love to provide some brief history.  For those of you who do not remember baby Jaxon (Click Here for previous Post) has turned 1 which is serious cause for celebration.  His wonderful family have waited for me for a long time to get in to celebrate Jaxon’s first birthday, and celebrate it we did.  Olivia (Jaxon’s Mum) made a lovely rainbow cake which we all shared.  It is moments like these that I cherish the role that I play in each and every family’s life, I have a real soft spot for you guys and I hope that you had a wonderful outing,  and will always remember Jaxon’s first birthday   Olivia, Andy, Charlie, Max and Jaxon – Thank you and enjoy !!!

I had the greatest pleasure to shoot upcoming Parents Katie and Mel recently, I have got to say as soon as these 2 walked thru the front door I knew that we were going to be in for a treat.  Apart from the fact that Katie looks totally stunning (Mel you scrub up alright yourself LOL) we hit it off straight away.  Katie and Mel are due in a few weeks.  I love it when clients are happy to enjoy and have fun so after a few studio shots we decided the just in the pool and do some underwater Maternity shots which I had discussed with Katie previously.  Anyway I just wanted to say thank you so much guys for allowing me to be creative, best of luck for the birth of bub and I can not wait to see you all again soon.  Enjoy this sneak peak guys and thanks again

There is nothing better than taking a road trip, particularly when it gives you an opportunity to catch up with past couples and their family’s.  I was very fortunate to be asked to take some family photos for a Adrianns family and of course to catch up with Kylie and Chris who some of you might remember from the wedding that as been featured in Qld Brides magazine.  See Here.  I am pleased to report that Kylie and Chris are expecting their first baby and I wish them all the success in the world.  We had a stunning location and beautiful green scenery to use as our backdrop, I have to say it was truly a fun-filled afternoon with lots of laughter.  After the shoot we even had a bite of home-made cake (which was delicious) !! – Thanks so much to everyone involved in the day, I had a blast and I can not wait to come back and update as the years move forward.

I love when i get the opportunity to work with some amazing creative people, recently I had the amazing opportunity to work with Kelli amazing makeup artist from Misk Designs, Isabella who styled up a storm, Sarena who was on the hair, and out beauties, We had Laura (on Green), Hannah in (pink) and Bethany in (Purple). The idea and concept of the shoot was for a personal project and I have got to say whilst it never worked out as I had intended it proves that there are some good things that raining conditions.  I sincerely appreciate the creative talents of my team of people who worked so hard to make this shoot happen.  Thank you all so very much and hope you like the results !!  Introducing Sirens of the Deep !!

It gives me the greatest pleasure to introduce the amazing wedding of Alexia and Michael, which took please in little old Toowoomba.  When Alexia and Michael first come to me, Alexia said that she had the most amazing plans for the wedding, we spend many hours talking about the concepts and the ideas for the styling and the type of theme she was after.  She even had her friends fly in from the UK to take part in the wedding.  There are sooo many beautiful details about the wedding that I think,  make it totally unique.  I am super excited to say that this stunning wedding which took place in beautiful Toowoomba,  and was hosted by some wonderful friends, who kindly handed over their stunning house and location on the edge of the range escarpment.  It was stunning in every way.  Alexia and Michael thank you so much for selecting me to be a part of your amazing day, hope you had a wonderful time.  Styling was by Erin from Vera and Rose, props supplied by Alexia who tells me that friends and family all pitched in to make it a beautiful Boutique wedding   Hope you totally enjoy this small preview of a stunning little wedding..  Congrats guys and can not wait for your feedback !!

Alana, Chris and Bailey come to see me in the studio today with the new arrival William.  Whilst William was a little shy for the camera to start with, once we got going he was the perfect baby    William was the first newborn for the year which is kind of exciting in itself so I was pleased that we were able to get so many different ones.  Thanks so much Alana and Chris really appreciate seeing you guys again as your family grows.  Hope you like this sneak peek !! – Cheers  Darren
