The Chatham Maroons junior hockey team has started announcing their team roster for the upcoming season.

Their first order of business was bringing back their captain Dylan Richter.

Richter has played the two past seasons with Chatham after playing in the OHL with the North Bay Battalion.

When healthy he is one of the best players in the Greater Ontario Hockey League. In the spring of 2025 he put the Maroons on his back during the Sutherland Cup. He had 33 points in 21 playoff games.

This past season Richter battled injuries, playing in only 22 regular-season games and six playoff games. Despite playing through the injuries, Richter was still able to average almost a point a game.

The Maroons also announced that they are bringing back Richard Santos as their general manager. Santos coached the Maroons for three years, leading the team to a Sutherland Cup title in 2025. He also held the general manager duties over those three years.

Santos resigned after the Sutherland Cup championship to take on a role as an assistant coach with the OJHL’s Leamington Flyers, as well as coaching in the BioSteel hockey program in Windsor.

Brennan Feasey is back as head coach, after doing both the head coach and general manager duties last season.

Feasey led the Maroons to the best record in the GOHL Western Conference at 37-8-2-3. They lost to the Stratford Warriors in the second round of the playoffs,
