Peru is the latest of the Latin American we look at afters our first look at tort law systems in a view of possible climate change compensation litigation. In one of the oldest cases of climate change litigation, the plaintiffs were dismissed again. In the case, Ned Comer, et al. v. Murphy Oil USA, Inc., the judge referred to the doctrine of "res judicata". On substance, the judge reiterated that the plaintiffs have no standing and put causality in question.

The liability of damages caused by climate change under UK law has been examined in a recent book: “Constructing a Private Climate Change Lawsuit under English Law: A Comparative Perspective” by Giedré Kaminskaité-Salters, Kluwer Law International, ISBN: 9789041132536.
