Adam and Carmen were keen to see a sneak peak of their wedding images whilst on honeymoon so here goes – I hope you  like them guys!

I’ve gone for a vintage tone in the post production of the blog images, inspired by the vintage styling of their wedding. I couldn’t believe how much thought and effort had gone into all the personal touches on the day including collecting antique tea pots to use for the table centres and tea cups filled with home made wax to make candles. Even more impressive, the entrance to their marquee was lined with bunting – each triangle made by a guest at the wedding. Carmen even went on a millinery course to make her own head piece for the day.

The day was very relaxed with an ice cream van turning up at the church to refresh the guests as they took a stroll through Greenwich park, followed by lawn games (including a HUGE draughts board!) back at the reception venue, where the garden had been specially cultivated for wild flowers to grow in in time for the day.

I know I always enjoy the weddings I shoot but this one was particularly special and I was so touched when on my departure Carmen insisted on me taking a goody bag home and Adam decided to pick me up and give me a big spin before I headed off! Thanks guys! I hope you are having a fantastic honeymoon and can’t wait to show you all the images on your return.

This year my top recommendations are Apples a play by Richard Milward – gritty, heartwrenching and the best insight into a 15 year old’s mind you could ask for! and comedians Chris Causland and Gary Delaney (who writes for Mock the week and other TV shows)

So here is a collection of snaps of my favourite street performers…they’ll do anything to give you a flyer for their show!!

On the drive from the church we stopped at The Royal Exchange for a few quick snaps (you can’t beat a nice set of steps!) before the bride and groom joined their guests for an intimate candlelit dinner in The Haymarket’s Shooting Gallery. Following dinner, they were joined by more guests in the library before making a surprise announcement for everyone to go down to the hotel basement – and what a delight they had in store – a dance floor around a pool lit with candles on lily pads and beautiful coloured lights – and what a party they had!!

The boys dragged themselves away from the dancefloor to take a quick meander through the local sights…what a laugh – as one of the lads said, they’ll always have Trafalgar!!

What a spectacular day! Thank you to Sophie and David and all their wonderful family and friends who made me feel so welcome (especially David’s Dad insisting I put my camera down and have a dance!)

I have photographed Behind the Bikeshed quite a few times now – mainly because I love their work!

Last week I got to go to one of their summer festival performances – it was just like being back in Edinburgh!!

It’s difficult to describe Behind the Bikeshed – they are more than a theatre group, more than a group of playwrites, more than a talented bunch of performers… they manage to bring the everyday into accessible yet highly intelligent, witty and downright hilarious sketches. Unlike most comedians, their humour is never insulting or cruel, it’s observational, creative and most imaginative…

At the summer festival I simply fell in love with the pigeons – what really does go on in a pigeon’s mind eh?

Luckily I got there in time – bump still in tact, and what a lovely big bump it was too!!

A few weeks later I was back to see the inhabitant of that bump – the lovely Gaius!

Being totally honest, Gaius wasn’t in a very happy mood the day I went to see him. We took our time, tried our best to keep him happy and well, here’s what we got…

I’m sure you’ll agree that for a grumpy baby he’s pretty darn cute! He has such a mature, expressive face already. And what a lovely family he has too  :)

He is certainly keeping mum and dad on their toes! But he is brilliant fun and those blue eyes just get more and more gorgeous! I’ve purposely included some black and white images to show that they are just as gorgeous in those too!!! I love the way the different light creates different shades of blue – all stunning!

PS Looking at the pictures it might appear as if William just stayed still and posed for me – far from it! He really made me work for these pictures but it was worth it!!!

This week Weetabix launched their latest TV ad featuring three runners in HUGE fancy dress costumes beating the pro athletes (because they’ve had their Weetabix of course!)

It was such fun to be on set and see how the ad was put together. I was capturing both stills of the ad and behind the scenes shots – here are a few to show you what went on…

It was a hot day and the actors did so well to keep running (though not quite the whole 26.2 miles!) A great crew and cast!

Isla’s mum was bought vouchers for a baby shoot from her work colleagues when she went off on maternity leave – what a lovely idea! At 10 months it was time for Isla to have her shoot….

A super fast crawler, she certainly kept me on my toes! It was lovely to see her blowing raspberries at mum and dad – what a little entertainer!!!

I’ve never seen such an extensive wardrobe for someone so young – I was quite envious – check out the little booties!

Now I’m back there are lots of shoots I’d love to share with you….

I met up with Kate and Kevin for a pre-wedding shoot ahead of their big day in August (which looks set to be amazing!!) It’s been gorgeous weather here in London so we had a great afternoon for it.

Kate and Kevin we’re a great couple – up for anything – even posing in front of the red fire engine doors with all the firemen watching didn’t phase them!

We wanted to go for a mixture of urban and natural shots so here’s what we got…

Recently I went back to shoot Frederick at 3 months – what a shock I got – he’s grown SO much. He seems so charismatic already – what a charmer!

I can’t wait to go back for a shoot with the whole family when Frederick is 6 months old.

Yvette asked if she could have some shots as quickly as possible as she was really keen to share them with her overseas friends – so I hope you all like them!

Yvette – I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you during our shoots. I hope you like the images – more soon!!
