A man is being treated in hospital after he was ejected from his car after it struck a telegraph pole and rolled over several times, writes Pat Flynn.

A councillor in Clare has started a fundraising campaign to purchase a lifesaving defibrillator for Ennis town centre, writes Pat Flynn.

A woman reported missing in Co Clare on Monday afternoon was found safe and well in a local pub unaware of the massive search for her, writes Pat Flynn.  
The alarm was raised at around 5.30pm when the woman, known to be from Limerick City, was reported missing by friends.
She was last seen in the area around Doolin Pier and it had been feared she had fallen into the sea.

It was a good day all round for the Clare senior footballers today as they defeated Leitrim in Cusack Park and saw their two rivals for promotion lose.  
Clare defeated Leitrim by 1-12 to 0-9 in round 5 of the Allianz Football League Division 4 to make it 8 points from a possible 10 for Michael McDermott’s men.

Two people are recovering in hospital after they were struck by a car in Ennis yesterday (Saturday), writes Pat Flynn. 
The accident happened shortly before 1 o'clock on the Gort Road on the outskirts of Ennis.
While Gardaí are investigating the cause of the accident, it is understood that the pair had been crossing the road when they were hit by the Toyota people carrier.
