Don’t we all love free stuff? Especially the one we can find from the internet, and we can keep it forever without taking the consequence from doing it? I guess Limewire was one of the classic example of it. By distributing copyrighted content using its software free for download; allowing millions of people online share those legal copyrighted content. Mp3 is one of the most downloaded content from Limewire.

Right after the ban on Napster early in 2000, there were many similar software allow people to share mp3, or other file formats, such as video; ebook, etc….. P2P becomes one of the most popular software we used nowadays in our computer. We can share what we have in our hard drive to other people. And We can also take stuff from other people’s computer if they are willing to share. This community is long be set, but the government just won’t recognize it as a way of freedom. Indeed, copyrighted content should be protected. Artist and those companies should have a slice of profit from what they create, and their products are not there to share.
Sorry to hear Limewire to be banned. But the concept of p2p community shouldn’t be ceased to exist yet. I guess more and more people will create similar software pretty much like limewire here.

Earlier this year, Joe Boshart had to do something that has never had to do 16 years was a health care professional. In January, CEO of Boca Raton, Florida-based Cross Country Healthcare has had to lay off 6 percent of the staff of his company because of the recession. It was a good day,she admits. Cross-country skiing tend to lose people to wear, but the company was falling too fast, says Boshart. About half the revenue comes from cross-country travel nurse staff levels, and in January-March, the application Travel nurses fell by 50 percent, according to Boshart. He describes the current context cruel and the most difficult he has seen in his career.

Honestly, I do not know how bad and how deep will this recession, he says. Many health care professionals for companies affected by the economic downturn. After several years of revenue growth of health personnel is expected to decline 23 percent this year, according to Human Resources Industry Analysts. health care personnel is expected to generate $ 8800000000 this year, up to $ 11400000000 in 2008. Two strong health workforce and its former, which are expected to grow by 5 percent and 20 percent respectively this year. Meanwhile, two nurses weaker for travel and subsistence, is expected to decline by 33 percent.

The doctor is the hottest field, nursing is the coolest. Paramedics is very hot or very hot, said Rick Jackson, CEO of Alpharetta, Georgia-based Jackson Healthcare. Adds Boshart Cross Country’s Physicians are a source of income most nurses are a generator costs you’ll have more doctors and fewer nursing Allies are somewhere in between …. Although health personnel in general is declining, it is always better than other sectors staff. Staffing Industry Analysts predict a decline in industrial personnel by 24 percent this year, while the office / clerical staff should spend 25 per cent, and staff accounting / finance should take a hit of 25 percent.

The health sector continues to add jobs in the recession, just not as much as before. In March, health care added 13,500 jobs, while last year the industry added more than 30,000 jobs per month, according to the Nursefinders CEO Bob Livonius Medfinders previously. The slowdown is significant, but the fact that [the health sector is] still growing is a good thing, says Livonius. This means that this is a place where people can still find work. The number of hospital employees decreased by 700 in March Livonius says, but is less than one-tenth percent of the total workforce, he said. Seven hundred people is completely irrelevant, he says. We do not believe that they were in clinical positions.

One of the challenges of the health problems facing care staff is that people lose their jobs and therefore their health insurance when they go to the doctor less, said Mark Stage, CEO of Marina del Rey, California, Emerald Health Services. Another challenge is that hospitals are reducing the number of temporary workers because of their income is reduced, Stage said. They can not issue bonds or borrow money. This provision is significantly reduced. Endowments usually represent a significant portion of their budget, he said. Boshart said hospitals have beaten the wall due to the credit crunch. Hospitals are seeing a fourfold increase in interest rates and therefore the interest costs to finance short-term liquidity, he said. This is a new variable that we have never tried before.

Also income evil is a lack of adequate compensation in terms of spending, says Andrea Boehme-Hernandez, president and CEO of North Carolina-based Medstaff. The reimbursement can not put pressure on the hospital itself, and may cause them difficulties in gaining the ability to bring more doctors, she said. This means that doctors today have to take more Patients. Boehme-Hernandez retains existing customers because of long histories with them, but adding new customers has been hard. New Business Development is slow, she said. Companies involved in the changes of nursing support staff, because he is better, said Jeff Bowling, CEO of Delta Cos. In addition, many recruitment agencies not care considering the Allies and space temporary, Bowling said.

They’ll be in and out of space before we know that the Allies he said. Space is a different animal alternate travel or accommodations, we are afraid that customers will leave a bad taste in the mouth in the long run. We worry about what that will do for insurance rates on the road, as tenens mark or substitutions. Not to our brand, but the image of the industry. It’s not as easy as it sounds. People see the growth and margins and run to him, but it is very complex and risky. Now more than ever, said David Baldridge, president of CompHealth Locum tenens division, hospitals are looking at how they spend the money.
Everyone is looking at costs and find ways to manage, he said. All costs must be examined. Everything must go through an approval process much more rigorous. There is more control over [if] you should take the alternate tenens physician another physician. ad interim is a generator of income and travel expenses. Peter Damer, CEO of Calabasas, California, on the basis of allocation, said that nurses require more hours, and some retired nurses looking to return to the workforce. They have retired thinking they were good [economically], he said. Now they think they should return to work. Nurses are willing to work for less because there are fewer opportunities, and want to work. The supply has increased, demand has declined. This means that more nurses are willing to work for a price different from that of only three or four months.

Asbestos+ Veterans given the advanced age of our WW II veterans survivors, time is short for these victims of asbestos related diseases. Veterans diagnosed with fatal diseases related to asbestos, such as mesothelioma and lung cancer, it is virtually impossible to obtain compensation for their exposure under the current system. If the veterans are trying to sue a company that once supplied the equipment for the government, facing a line in the courthouse that takes years to navigate – years that veterans honestly not the worst. Today there are over 500,000 cases of asbestos in the courts and more accumulate every day. Many of these cases were brought by lawyers on behalf of people who do not even have symptoms of diseases related to asbestos. Finally, on Capitol Hill are serious about fixing some of this moral crisis that is so harmful to veterans. The Judiciary Committee began work on equity Asbestos Resolution Act of injuries, and the FAIR Act.

This legislation should ensure that veterans suffering from asbestos-related disease, finally a fair compensation and certain. If the senators let this opportunity pass, we can never get so close to a solution. More veterans are dying of diseases related to asbestos without compensation. We must not let this happen. As veteran, I urge Senator Cornyn, a member of the Judiciary Committee to support this critical legislation for veterans. And I ask senators to vote in Texas FAIR Act, when it comes to the Senate.

mesothelioma litigation is divided into two categories – one where the person suffering from mesothelioma is living (a personal injury case), and another where the person with mesothelioma is deceased (death bad), and applicant is the spouse and / or relative to represent the estate of the deceased. When the person who would normally be the claimant has died, a replacement person (usually a spouse or close relative) stands in as a plaintiff, and injuries claimed include the loss of life itself. The most important part of a case of unlawful killing is to find people who worked with the plaintiff to prove that the deceased would be given work regarding the history and asbestos.

West Virginia University has reached a settlement class-action case that affects up to 5600 current employees and former employees may have been exposed to asbestos, the school announced Tuesday. As part of the solution and pay WVU to launch a program of health surveillance will be implemented for 20 years. WVU also agreed to pay a $ 1,000,000 to cover potential claims and legal costs. The court must approve the agreement before it becomes final. The hearing is scheduled for December 22.

University employees continued in 2000 and sought medical monitoring for potential health problems related to asbestos after working in university buildings containing asbestos insulation. The workers, including teachers, custodians, secretaries and other staff, alleged that asbestos in campus buildings to put them at increased risk of cancer. The university said in a statement that the agreement has been reached in the compromise.

WVU maintains that all practices recognized standard for asbestos removal have been observed in recent years, and that the population of workers through routine monitoring of buildings and air samples are safe from any harmful effects of materials containing asbestos, said University. Until the 1970s, asbestos was widely appreciated for its resistance to fire and heat. Since then, the medical community has warned that asbestos, when inhaled can cause diseases such as mesothelioma, a rare and little in the form of lung cancer. It will also cause asbestosis, an irreversible scarring of the lung and other lung diseases.

Canadian women in search of meaning and without problems to prevent pregnancy can easily be self-provided osteoporosis, which weakens bones and is likely to fracture. $ 700,000,000 class action lawsuit is filed against those responsible for Depo-Provera birth control injection prescribed more than 600 thousand years ago Canadians. Lawsuit contends that women with contraceptive efficacy has developed osteoporosis. Depo-Provera is an international drug conglomerate also responsible for popular prescription drugs Viagra Pfizer, Celebrex and Zoloft. Users will have the injection every three months and less than one percent chance of becoming the drug during pregnancy, the drug manufacturer’s website.

Tracey Bourque, 33, recently discovered, is the bone density of women of 55 years. Bourque and her doctor wonder if it is linked to his use of Depo-Provera. Depo-Provera was tested in 1980 and approved in Canada in 1997. Two million prescriptions were written for drugs in Canada over the past four years. A year ago, Pfizer warned Canadian authorities and U.S. drug can lead to bone loss. The United States emits an alarm shortly after saying drug should not be used for long-term contraception. Health Canada issued similar statements in the November 2004 and June and July this year. The data show that women who use Depo-Provera may lose significant (bone density), states the July Health Canada warning. The data also indicate that bone loss is even longer use and can not be completely reversible.

According to lawyer Glyn Hotz, Bourque is not the only person concerned. He told CTV that has filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of a group of women who are also concerned about a link between Depo-Provera and bone deterioration. We have seen people who have had multiple fractures, requiring knee replacements, he said Monday. We have someone who is in his twenties who is on the verge of a hip replacement.

A lawsuit was filed on Monday against Mattel – the largest toy, the U.S. – Because many corporate products were found to contain excessive amounts of lead. A little over a week, Mattel recalled hundreds of thousands of toy vehicle distribution die because the paint used on toys containing dangerous levels of lead. (Cars depicted the character Sarge from the movie Cars from Pixar 2006.) Several weeks before that, nearly a million toys were recalled by a subsidiary of Mattel, for the same reason. (These toys are those that represent the characters of Sesame Street at the time and Dora the Explorer.) All the products in question were actually manufactured in China.

Similar (but different), costume made earlier this month in Florida is also a target of class action status. Lead is particularly toxic to the brain and the body of young children. It can cause learning difficulties, blood, brain diseases and nervous system damage. Mattel is the parent company of Fisher-Price, American Girl, Radica and the United States. If you think you have a toy that has been affected by a recall

PORTLAND, Ore. – A settlement was reached Tuesday in a closely watched trial class action lawsuit filed on behalf of uninsured patients who claim a non-profit hospital major overloaded. Complaint alleges that Providence Hospital System contradicted its mission to ensure access to health care of uninsured patients higher rates for the same services as other patients.

The agreement, if approved by the court, will affect tens of thousands of lower income Oregonian, lawyers say. This is a historic agreement and it will, said Brian Campf, an attorney representing uninsured patients. Similar lawsuits have been filed against hundreds of hospitals in at least 27 states where nonprofit hospitals exempt Tax higher prices for uninsured patients than insured patients.

The regulation covers medical expenses for uninsured patients at hospitals in Providence in September Oregon over six years, four years and the next two years. All fees will be recalculated.

The trial is part of a national campaign Richard Scruggs, a Mississippi lawyer who helped win settlements of billions of dollars with the tobacco industry in the 1990s to pay for states associated with smoking costs care. Other hospitals across the country should seriously consider that option, said Sid Bäckström, spokesman for the Scruggs law firm.

Oakland, California – A California jury on Thursday received $ 172 million to thousands of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. who claimed they were illegally denied lunch breaks. The world’s largest retailer was ordered to pay $ 57 million in general damages and $ 115 million in punitive damages to about 116,000 current and former California employees for violating a 2001 law stated that employers are required to give 30-minute unpaid lunch breaks to employees who work at least six hours. The injury was originally reported as $ 207,000,000 after a court clerk misread the punitive damages of $ 150 million. The amount of punitive damages was later clarified. The class action lawsuit in the Superior Court of Alameda County is one of 40 national workplace violations by Wal-Mart, and the first to go to court. The Bentonville, Arkansas-based retailer earned 10 billion dollars last year, settled a similar dispute in Colorado for $ 50 million.

California dress lunchtime, Wal-Mart claimed that workers did not ask for penalty wages on time. Under the law, the company has to pay full wages for hourly workers left for lunch. The company also said it would pay employees their penalty pay and in 2003, most workers agreed to waive their meal period influenced the law allows.

The demand for employees, past and present in California from 2001-2005. The workers claimed they were owed more than $ 66 million plus interest, and sought damages to punish the company for alleged wrongdoing. The lawsuit was filed by several employees of Wal-Mart high level in the Bay of San Francisco in 2001, but it took four years of legal wrangling to get to trial.
