The “One Big Beautiful Bill”, signed into law by President Trump on July 4, 2025, includes a dizzying array of provisions covering immigration, tax policy, health care, energy, and defense.

Summer Access Reminder – Bloomberg/Lexis/Westlaw

For CSU|LAW students, Bloomberg and Lexis automatically provide full access during the Summer for any purpose, including work related purposes. Westlaw automatically provides full access for “non-commercial research,” including Summer College of Law classes, Law Review and Journal research, Research Assistant assignments, Moot Court research, Clinical work, Externship sponsored by the CSU College of Law, and non-profit work.

For graduating CSU|LAW students, Bloomberg automatically provides full access for six months. Lexis automatically provides access for six months except for public records, Law360, Practical Guidance, and Protégé. To get Protégé, graduates need to enroll through the LexisNexis® Insider Program. Lexis also has an ASPIRE program for graduates engaged in non-profit work (i.e., verifiable 501(c)(3) public interest work), which provides twelve months of free access to federal and state cases, codes, and regulations, as well as the Shepard’s Citation Service and Matthew Bender treatises. For more information, see the Lexis+ Access for Law School Graduates page. To continue access to Westlaw, graduating students must enroll in the Westlaw Grad Elite Status program, which allows full access to Westlaw for 60 hours per month to gain understanding, build confidence in their research skills, and prepare for the bar exam. Students may not use Westlaw in situations where they are billing a client. To enroll in the Grad Elite Program, log on to Westlaw then, within the drop-down menu by your name, select “Grad Elite Status.” At the Grad Elite Status page, follow the directions and prompts
