Two jewelry trays fit on top. They are divided into twelve sections. Dental theme gifts are unique and I’ve found there is a niche market! I recently returned from the Dallas Gift Market. One of the most interesting orders I took was for an Endodontist who was looking for “referral gifts” . Each year he gives referring dentists a very nice gift basket full of great gifts. We just introduced our new line of the Collector’s Theme Jewelry. This line is designed and handcrafted in the USA by the Classic Legacy team. To best compliment this new collection I wanted to create displays that would be helpful to our retail partners. I wanted to share with you some behind the scene steps that were taken to create the Classic Legacy displays that are handcrafted in the USA.

1. Tools to Cut and Form the Displays

We use a wonderful electric saw to measure and cut the displays. This tool is a great help.

2. The boards are Assembled

The boards are carefully nailed together to form the base of the wedge display. This is how the unpainted displays look after they are assembled.

3. The Wooden Base is Painted

4. Custom Blacksmiths Forge the Iron Rack Display

We drew the design and then took it to a blacksmith to execute our design for the rack that holds the necklaces and bracelets. This is a very sturdy display that will last in a retail store!

5. Final Assembly of the Display for Collector’s Theme Jewelry

Four screws are used to attach the back rack to the wooden base. Two trays with divided compartments hold each of the unique charms and charm clusters for the Classic Legacy jewelry collection. Our retail partners are really complimenting us on this display. We are proud that it is made in the USA!

Natalie and Madee came over yesterday and helped me photograph some of the new necklaces, bracelets, and rings. We had such a fun time! I think I will just let these photos speak for themselves. The newest items will be coming to the website very soon. The wire wrapped jewelry is going to be HOT!……The metals are mixed metals and all the stones are semi-precious. You have to watch this video we shot after we took all the photos…..it was done with my iPhone. Now that I know how easy it is to add video to my YouTube channel I’m going to do it more often!

Pinterest is a virtual pinboard that lets you organize anything you find on the internet. It is very visually appealing and once you join you can create custom boards to collect what you find inspiring, interesting, and attractive. Pinterest is easy to use and has many helpful tips. Pinterest is fun! Pinterest is a good tool for small businesses. Here are some ideas. Use Pinterest to:

1. Highlight your Customers

Every business relies on good customers. Pinterest is a wonderful way to share photos showcasing your customers. I like to visit my client’s website, blog, or Facebook page and find fun photos of their store, products, or team. Here is the section (called a board) on the Classic Legacy Pinterest site. I named this board “Our Clients and Customers”. I have highlighted people, store fronts, merchandise, and logos.

Jill is a blacksmith and years ago she helped me produce some iron displays for gifts that I had just designed. Classic Legacy has many clients that are high-end resorts and hotels. I want to let them know that I follow their activities. Pinterest is a great way for me to “pin” photos that I find of their resort or hotel. These photos or pins are then re-shared by followers and the good photos and promotion just keeps on growing! I thought this photo of young surfers was especially fun. The Hotel Del Coronado featured this photo on their website and I “pinned” it!

5. Highlight Products

I admit that I am using Pinterest to not only provide enjoyment, organize my finds, and collect ideas…..I also want to share the best of Classic Legacy products. I don’t like to follow accounts on social media sites that only discuss or talk about their products so I for sure don’t want to go overboard sharing new products…but I will do that from time to time as it relates to current events and trends. Our new wire wrapped jewelry is the perfect example of a trend that I want to share! Here is the Pinterest link of jewelry via Classic Legacy pinterest. The neat thing is if the photo you are highlighting is from a website when you double-click on the photo is takes you to the Classic Legacy website……just like this necklace. Pinterest is a very new social media site. According to Mashable the membership is over 4 million. From August to December 2011 the membership of Pinterest doubled! Diane’s Gift Emporium in Germantown, TN is one of my favorite stores. I enjoy going inside to discover new treasures. I think one reason that it is so inviting is that they use creative displays. When I was a little girl we always made cookies for Santa. We then set out a glass of milk with the cookies. On Christmas morning when we looked at the table near the Christmas tree Santa had always eaten all the cookies and drank the milk. That is a happy memory for me at Christmas time. Through the years I’ve heard that Santa also liked coffee. All that you have to do in our contest is let us know if you think Santa likes milk or coffee. We will then choose a winner from the winning group. The prizes that will be given away include a vintage Santa Christmas ornament by Classic Legacy as well as six of our Classic Legacy wine carriers. Let’s have some fun. Here is the recipe for the cookies that I make every year.

1 Cup Soft Butter

1/2 cup sugar

1 egg

1 Tablespoon Vanilla

3 Cups Flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Cream butter, sugar, egg, and mix thoroughly. Add vanilla. Add flour and baking powder mixture. Roll dough carefully in waxed aper and chill at least two hours. Roll in 1/8″ thickness. Cut into shapes and decorate with sugars after brushing with egg whites. Bake 5-7 minutes at 425 degrees. Remove immediately to wire rack. Enjoy.

This year I made some with my two grandsons and they loved the entire process.
