Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the areas of electrical engineering, photovoltaics, power plant design and/or power plant performance

BS degree, electrical engineering preferred

Strong knowledge of electrical component theory and practice in the solar industry, or a related industry such as UPS, DC/AC power systems, or motor drives

Experience with technical training

Articulate communication skills; he/she will be required to write customer visit reports, technical notes and be able to communicate with all levels of customers on business and technical subjects

Excellent customer liaison skills and a strong customer service ethic

Prior experience in the solar energy industry is a big plus, especially with electrical inverters and/or power plant performance

What you will be doing
In this role, you will be responsible leading and managing the integration of SSN’s Smart Energy Network network interface card (NIC) into a broad range of metering products. Additionally, you will grow and expand SSN’s in-home solutions by identifying and working with Technology Partners.
As Product Manager, you will be responsible for your product roadmap and positioning along with competitive analysis to guarantee SSN’s metering products are market leaders.

Silver Spring Networks is hiring for the position of Systems Integration Manager within our Operations team for work in our new Melbourne, Vic office. Initially, this will be a work- from-home setup until the local office is physically established.

In this role, you will be working directly with customers and potentially managing a small team of integration engineers to integrate SSN applications with new and existing applications within the utility’s back office. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies will be leveraged to build the integration points. Together, these integrated applications will be responsible for provisioning millions of network devices annually per utility, and processing tens of millions of daily transactions. You will have significant hands-on responsibility and flexibility to drive multiple simultaneous integration projects to successful conclusion.
Responsibilities

* Engage with customers to scope, design, document, implement and deliver integration scenarios between our back-office applications and those already deployed (or to be deployed) by the utility. You will collaborate and coordinate closely with Sales, Operations, Product Management and Engineering to ensure these engagements are successfully initiated and completed. Predictably deliver high-quality, high-performance, scalable integrations.
* Architect solutions which meet the needs of the customer and are beneficial to Silver Spring Networks.
* Provide guidance to customers on hardware specifications to meet performance and scalability requirements
* Assist a small team of California-based integration engineers to design and build SOA- and ESB-based mappings. This team will also be responsible for working with Engineering to extend interfaces to meet the evolving needs of our customers while at the same time guaranteeing that all customers deploy non-customized SSN products. Engagements will often require that sample code is provided to customers or integration partners, rather that implementing the integration scenarios directly.
* Work directly with customers to create data mappings and resolve other related semantic issues involved in the building of the integration scenarios.
* Plan and execute validation efforts for all delivered integration scenarios.
* Working with Product Management and Engineering, manage resolution of product issues identified by customers or operations staff.
* Contribute to the Operations culture by actively participating in the evolution of best practices, tools and processes
* Ability to travel frequently for projects within the region; some travel in the Pacific Rim and the US may also be required. Must possess a valid passport. ed

Qualifications

* 10+ years of software development experience, at least 5 of which was spent doing hands-on software development, and another 5 years spent managing teams to deliver enterprise software products or integration-related deliverables.
* Proven ability to manage customer relationships and accounts; experience dealing with large companies which requires interacting with and managing requirements from multiple departments
* Hands-on experience with enterprise middleware and volume transaction processing; experience within the utility industry is strongly preferred
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and designs to both technical and non-technical staff
* Proven ability to multi-task and participate in a hands-on manner while at the same time being able to effectively lead and motivate a team of direct-reports.

As our energy efficiency Product Manager, based in downtown Boston, your primary responsibilities will include the following:

• Identifying, coalescing, and scoping product requirements from a variety of origins (customers, sales, competitive intelligence, company strategy, technology strategy)
• Preparing business cases for new feature developments

• Verifiable experience with interactive analytical dashboards or BI extranets
• Familiarity with BI software from Cognos, Business Objects, Hyperion, SAS, Oracle, or MicroStrategy
• Familiarity with energy efficiency, and energy systems in use in large facilities
• Excellent communication skills, especially good writing skills are required
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint
• Some knowledge of database tools such as SQL
• Bachelor degree in physical science, engineering, computer science, energy management, math, economics, business, statistics, or information systems is required

The Sales Engineer will play an important role in the sales process working with both the Business Development Managers and Product Deployment team to secure high-quality customer relationships. The Sales Engineer will convey technical expertise and comprehensive knowledge of the energy efficiency product line to potential customers and must be able to communicate complex information clearly. Sales Engineers will perform site visits to qualify customer facilities and will be responsible for developing preliminary energy analyses, connectivity drawings, and technical scope of work documentation as part of a standard sales process.
This position requires significant travel primarily on the West coast, but at times travel may be nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:


* Presenting technical product details during customer sales meetings
* Gathering qualification details about HVAC system equipment and BMS systems
* Preparing technical and facility specific details of customer proposals
* Coordinating with the Business Development Managers to develop high-quality proposals
* Soliciting feedback from potential customers to improve product features and identify new product opportunities
* Maintaining internal relationships with the Deployment and Analytics teams to ensure new customers are an ideal fit for the energy efficiency offerings.


The Ideal Candidate will demonstrate:

Qualifications/Skills/Education:

* B.S. in Engineering or related disciplines.

* CEM certification
* LEED accreditation desirable
* Building Management System (BMS) integration experience a plus

Design and develop manufacturing processes for bio-fuel new and existing equipment.
Work in collaboration with the Chief Technical Officer and Vice President Operations to develop and define equipment specifications and cost estimations to design and develop new equipment and systems and provide all required documentation for all equipment and systems.

Duties:
• Conduct research to develop new and improved chemical processes for bio fuels.

• Design and oversees workers engaged in manufacturing, controlling, and improving equipment to carry out chemical processes for bio fuel equipment.

• Analyze operating procedures and equipment and machinery functions to reduce processing time and cost.

• Design equipment to maximize output of bio fuel equipment.

• Designs and plans measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and pilot plant operations.

• Performs tests and takes measurements throughout stages of production to determine
degree of control over variables such as temperature, density, specific gravity, and pressure.

• Specify new equipment /review vendor capabilities and quotes related to procurement.

• Design new equipment, redesign existing equipment, and modify process flows and conditions to improve quality or economics of production processes.

Drill, tap, or ream holes.
Align components, and bolt, screw, or rivet them together.
Install moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and work them to test free movement.
Bend, fasten and install piping for hydraulic systems, pumps, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies, using hand tools, machine parts, brazing and TIG welding.
Align and mesh gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.
Read and interpret assembly drawings and related parts lists as well as electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
Repair, modify components by machining or welding components, and perform maintenance on equipment.
Visually inspect machinery components and identify defects and make recommendation to improve the assembly and equipment.
Ability to use common hand tools.
Organizational skills enable adequate stocking of spare parts and accurate record keeping activities.
Set and verify parts clearances. Inspect, operate, and test completed equipment to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer specifications.
Must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively throughout the organization to achieve company goals and expected results.
Test or assist in the start up of completed product.
Travel to client sites to install and repair equipment at domestic and international sites.
Perform other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor or management.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED with ten years plus experience in machine and equipment building.
Be able to manage one's own time and be productive.
Math skills to add, subtract, multiple and divide, convert fraction to decimal or decimal to fraction.
Our ideal candidate must be proficient in blueprint reading, electrical schematics and the use of power and hand tools.
Follow safety rules and be a safe worker. The incumbent must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain US Passport.

* Provide documentation relating to new program development.
* Insure compliance with TS 16949 quality standard.





















Experience:

* A minimum of ten years experience in a technical position related to quality engineering in a manufacturing environment.
* Computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, and statistical/calibration programs.
* Ability to interact professionally and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
* Six Sigma experience.
* Expertise in design quality according to APQP process and customer requirements.
* Experience with TS16949 automotive quality standard, strong communication and coordination skill also needed.



Qualifications:

BS in Manufacturing, Industrial or Quality Engineering.

Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma Principles., Oracle experience a plus.
