wow Jason, I think the turnouts for sub:merged speak for themselves.

If you ever got into music thinking that you can please everyone... that's your mistake, not someone who's voicing their opinion. We all have different tastes and are allowed to speak to those tastes. It's the promoter's job to bring in talent they believe will satisfy an audience, and inform that audience. Handling criticism is a byproduct of this.
