<media:text>BOULDER, Colo. -- Sparks flew at a Boulder, Colorado city council meeting when someone's purse randomly erupted into flames.

A woman was sitting directly behind a man speaking at the podium when her phone exploded in her lap.

People started screaming.
The purse ended up on the ground, singeing the carpet and eventually leaving burn marks on the sidewalk outside.

Firefighters on the scene determined it was caused by a battery malfunction.

Eventually, people in attendance were able to extinguish the flaming purse and continue the city council meeting.

The woman only had minor burns to her leg and did not have to go to the hospital.</media:text>

<media:text>NEW YORK -- Computer passwords test our patience and our memories. We've always been told to make them complicated and change them often. But now the man who said that is telling us he was wrong.

Formulating strings of numbers, letters and symbols into passwords is a fact of modern-day life, although not a particularly popular one.

Count Bill Burr is among the bothered. "Well it frustrates everybody, me included," he said -- really something when you consider Burr is the father of the modern-day password.

"I have maybe 200 passwords. I can't remember all those obviously," he said.

Fourteen years ago, writing the official guidance for government employees, Burr suggested picking random combinations and changing them often.

But it turns out something like "SOMETHINGLIKETHIS" is a lot harder to hack than something like "80&3T4!*G$\#ET415" or a similarly long string of random characters.

"It's probably better to do fairly long passwords that are phrases or something like that that you can remember than to try to get people to do lots of funny characters," Burr said.

So a couple of months back, the guidelines were rewritten to reflect the discovery. Burr is now retired, but he helped out.

When asked if he had any regrets about his original guidance, Burr said, "Yeah, I do."

"I think I could have done a better job of figuring out some of the things that we now know, or at least of guessing them" he said.

If only regret was as easy to forget as the passwords he helped create.

"they were just telling them to go away go away and they were just being belligerent, and that's when things started escalating." and when he saw the gun, woodin knew he had to do something.
Video: Trump bans transgenders in the military

<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr valign="top"><td><a href="http://www.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/3421/7018207?cpt=8&wpid=1260"><img src="http://video-static-01.clipsyndicate.com/38af/2017/07/27/02/18/4e5ea976bb0c4e5bb8b7724fa89be952.jpg" width="120" height="90" border="0" /></a></td><td style="padding:5px;">Today, President Donald Trump announced a ban on transgender people serving in the military on Twitter. This policy will affect thousands of transgender troops in the military. Some local residents are speaking out about Trump’s decision.
It’s a series of tweets shaking the LGBTQ community. President Donald Trump stating that the United States Government will not allow or accept transgender people to serve in the military. His argument: “the military cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgenders in the military would entail.”
This comes after former President Barack Obama who just one year ago lifted the ban on transgender military service. Not only did this cause some controversy in Washington, but also here on the Coast. Kiln resident Paul Gebeline said, “I think transgender people can fight just as well as anybody else. I don’t see why they should be denied service just because they were born in the wrong body, you know?”
Even among Trump supporters. Gulfport resident Taffa Allen said, “I don’t think anybody should be banned from the military depending on their sex, religion, or anything. They just need to get over that part. I love Trump, but that part right there doesn’t bother me at all.”
However, viewers on our News 25 Facebook page agree with Trump’s announcement. Some saying it’s common sense to keep them out of the military.
One transgender woman who is also an Air Force veteran is now worried for active transgendered military people getting kicked out of the military. Molly Kester with Mississippi Rainbow Center said, “It gives people kind of a reason to discriminate against people. If they’re not worthy of serving in our military then why would they be worthy of someone accepting them for who they are. It’s got a bigger range of an issue than just being not serving in the military because you technically can’t ban us from serving in the military because most of us serve without anybody even knowing we’re transgender. I did 20 years in the military before coming out.”
The Pentagon and White House have not released any information on how or when they would begin implementing the new ban. For now, it’s just a tweet from the Commander in Chief.</td></tr></table>

<media:text>man received a sentence of nearly 70 years in prison... for his role in the armed standoff in bunkerville three years ago. thanks for staying with us at 6:30... i'm christianne klein. ((dave courvoisier)) >> and i'm dave courvoisier. the i-team's vanessa murphy was in the court room as gregory burleson learned his fate. she has the story. ((vanessa murphy)) this was gregory burleson in bunkerville on april 12th, 2014. ((vanessa murphy)) on wednesday, he was sentenced to more than 68 years in prison for his role in this armed standoff. the charges: assault on and threatening a federal officer, obstruction, and more. ((vanessa murphy)) rancher cliven bundy called for help in his fight against the federal governement after the court ordered serizure of his cattle because it was illegally grazing on public land. ((vanessa murphy)) supporters showed up - some with weapons, law enforcement was outnumbered, and the bureau of land management left . the cattle was set free. ((vanessa murphy)) gregory burleson made the trip from arizona. ((terrence jackson/defense attorney: he wasn't involved in the planning and he didn't get any financial gain out of this. he did it because he thought it was a patriotic thing to do.)) ((vanessa murphy/reporter: some of the law enforcement officers who were at the standoff were in the courtroom during the sentencing. some of them crying as the judge was describing how even though no one was hurt, she believes they were victims.)) ((terrence: they can characterize themselves as victims. they felt they were threatened and many of them believed they were extremely fearful of what was going on that day.)) ((vanessa murphy)) burleson had actually worked as a paid f-b-i informant in the past, but evidence like his social media posts revealed his anti-government extremism and he told an undercover f-b-i team posing as a documentary film crew - he wanted to put agents six feet under and was disappointed the standoff wasn't bloody. defense attorney terrence jackson asked for a light sentence because he says the 53 year old man has become blind and critically ill, and has a problem with alcohol. but - a federal judge decided burleson will spend the rest of his life locked up. vanessa murphy, 8 news now.// ((dave courvoisier)) >> one of burleson's co -defendants is set to be sentenced in september. four others are on trial again after a jury could not reach a verdict. (zach:) here you can tell the eggs don't look leathery like they normally would and are a mushy substance because they had been in water for such a long time. what happened was that dillard recieved a call saying a woman at the town park apartments, which are near medi-park, freaking out that they are rattlesnake eggs in her toilet. the problem is rattlesnakes do not lay eggs and actually give birth to live babies. another weird part of this story, the woman lived on the third floor at her apartment complex. dillard says he can't be sure how the snake got there, but he does have an idea. dallas dillard / snake expert "in this case i would be looking for entry ways into the apartment or just talking to other neighbors maybe. like, i said it could have just been a 15 year old boy playing with a snake and it got loose." (zach:) dillard says when the snake laid the eggs in the toilet it was basically certain death for the eggs, because they are usually laid under ground away from the sun in a warm place. (zach:) dillard says the reason the snake laid them there is most likely because the snake went into the toilet to get a drink. he says when snakes are in water they naturally relax their bodies which would have made the snake lay the eggs, on accident. reporting live in studio, zach martin, kamr local 4 news. jackie/andy? (andy:) zach, thank you. dillard says there is no way the snake would have laid the eggs there on purpose. (jackie:) when we asked how the snake would have gotten into the apartment, he says, that is something you'd need to ask the snake. (jackie:) the dallas</media:text>

Matt Reardon came down from Hattiesburg to Biloxi to address Mayor FoFo Gilich about not flying the state flag at City Hall. Biloxi is one of several cities that have decided against flying the state flag.
During today’s protest, Reardon tried making his way into FoFo’s office, but was denied entry for not having an appointment. “He’s turned his back on the board of alderman as well as the citizens and has put the ultimate decision in the hands of Attorney General Jim Hood.”
City of Biloxi Public Affairs Manager Vincent Creel said, “We don’t want to have a flag that disenfranchises a considerable section of population. You want a flag that everybody’s going to rally around, this is not the flag. So, accordingly, we still do not fly it in the City of Biloxi facilities.”
According to Reardon, he has an appointment set up with Mayor Gilich Wednesday afternoon. He says he also plans to travel across the state for the next six months in support of the state flag.</td></tr></table>

<media:text>jim:you're more likely to get pulled over for a traffic stop in davenport if you're a minority. tiffany:that's according to a new study. but the study's author says... there are a lot of factors behind that statistic. the davenport police department partnered with saint ambrose university professor christopher barnum for the traffic stop study. they took a look at the davenport police department to see ?if? officers have a problem with racial profiling. the study has been done every year for the past five years. during that time... the davenport police department has conducted more than 65- thousand traffic stops.that report is tonights top story.local 4's rachel gollhardt joins us live from the newsroom with more on those findings... rachel? racheljim, tiffany, earlier today a st. ambrose professor and the davenport police department held a joint meeting with members of the davenport city council, the n double a c-p, lulac and other organizations to discuss the findings of the traffic survey... "the survey with st. ambrose university was to figure out whether or not racial profiling is an issue in the davenport police department... the results of the study found that living as a minority in the city of davenport you are 7 percent more likely to have some sort of interaction with the police department. but the study's author says this is not a high or even concerning percentage(christopher burnum sr. ambrose university)it is not an extremly hight amount of disproportionality, we would be more concerned if it were say 20 pertange points above. so although there is some i would say this is a moderate amount. if you wanted to know how i would classify it. davenport police cheif paul sikorski credits the low percentage of bias to monthly officer training with his officers. the summary also finds officers are making most of the traffic stops in areas of the city with higher minority rates... however those areas also show higher amounts of violent crime.. (christopher burnum sr. ambrose university)marquette on the west, the bridge on the east and then locust to the river. that is sort of the area where a majority of the stops are being made. another of the main findings, is the number of traffic stops in davenport... decresed by almost half... this drop did affect the percentage of bias found in the patrol unit... the survey found bais in the unit was close to 10 percent.. (christopher burnum sr. ambrose university)thats mitigated by the fact that the department as a whole made far fewer stops this year than they have been making. the number of stops they had made thoughout the study had been creeping down but it is way down now." rachelin the next few years the davenport police department and professor barnum are hoping to add more facets to the study.in the newsroom, rachel</media:text>

<media:text>man's recovering after he was attacked by a pack of dogs... a couple of men working nearby happened to hear his screams -- and rushed to him until medical help came. our leslie adami spoke with neighbors in the area who say something needs to be done. leslie adami, klbk news: "earlier this morning, this stretch of road just outside of new deal was completely blocked off after reports of a man being attacked by a pack of dogs. law enforcement and e-m-s were called out this morning around 7:30 to the area of f-m 1729 and county road 2700 -- officials with the lubbock county sheriff's office tell us -- a resident in the area was looking for a neighbor's dog... that's when seven other dogs came out and attacked. this is the house where the dogs appear to live -- the sheriff's office did try contacting the owners. officials with lso say they are now going through the process to get a warrant to seize the dogs...when that happens -- the animals will be held until a court date can take place... and depending on the judge's ruling -- the dogs will either go back to the owner or be handed over to the county -- if in which case -- they will be euthanized. nearby residents shared these dogs are known for traveling in a pack and have even gotten into livestock...and that when they heard that someone was attacked -- sadly -- it did not come as a surprise. lenny williams, nearby resident, says dogs have gotten into his livestock: "they're running around crazy, just missing with everyone pretty much keep your dogs locked up, or get rid of them if you can't take care of them. something needs to be done." leslie adami: "and at last check with umc officials -- the man who was attacked has now been listed in satisfactory condition. for now reporting outside of new deal i'm leslie adami -- klbk news ." brittany we're told the other dogs the man was looking for were okay. the sheriff's office says criminal negligance charges are pending in this case. in your justice</media:text>

<media:text>how long is too long to wait to have an abortion? that's what's being argued in court today. the case is between planned parenthood of the heartland and the state of iowa. this year, lawmakers passed a law requiring women who want to get an abortion to wait 3 days before getting one. planned parenthood wants that wait period gone from iowa law ... calling the 72 hour wait period on abortions harmful. today the trial started. with planned parenthood's witnesses going first. "it further stigmatizes women seeking abortion care and makes them feel ashamed and imposes somebody else's values on their own personal medical decision." stephanie: planned parenthood is also arguing that the wait period won't get women to change their minds...and decide not to have an abortion. "as i said, in my experience patients have given this a lot of htought and consideration and majority are very firm in their decision and so the added time only makes it harder for htem to access the care that they've decided they need."" stephanie: the trial is expected to last until thursday. there is not a jury in this case. jack: officers who are ambushed</media:text>

<media:text>a shasta county man captures a rare site on camera --- a mountain lion taking down a wild deer on a ranch in french gulch. footage even the department of fish and wildlife finds fascinating. a warning some may find the video disturbing. k-r-c-r news channel 7's jeremy linder has the story. nats "we just got lucky as far as being able to catch everything and have it perfectly framed." randy spade wasn't expecting to capture the scene of a lifetime last week. but is excited to share his passion for nature. "when i put the chip in the little pictures come up and i see the picture of the deer and a picture of the mountain lion but i didn't know if i actually caught the thing." you can see the mountain lion creep up on the unsuspecting deer. making the final blow in mere seconds. nats "to just see the eyes on the lion in the background and just how quickly it moved in on the deer and took it down was the impressive part." jennifer carlson with the department of fish and wildlife was shocked to see the footage. she says even though mountain lions are common in the northstate. it's rare see one attack a deer, let alone capture it on camera. carlson adds the threat to human life through is low. "lion attacks are very rare. there have been attacks in southern california but up here in the northern region they have been few and far between." this is not the first time spade has it's just great footage --- to add to what has become a hobby. nats "they technology is now getting to where they're inexpensive and they just work a lot better. you don't have to have your film developed to find out you got nothing." jeremy linder k-r-c-r news channel 7. the ranch belongs to a family friend of spade's. but doesn't have any livestock so there is plenty of wildlife. spade says they have a love hate relationship with the mountain lions --- as man and cat leave each other alone. president trump</media:text>

Video: Traffic Stop Etiquette for Driver's Education

<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr valign="top"><td><a href="http://www.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/3421/7000448?cpt=8&wpid=1260"><img src="http://video-static-01.clipsyndicate.com/589c/2017/07/14/12/40/4fc11284bfb0403a8d6824e4e58eec1d.jpg" width="120" height="90" border="0" /></a></td><td style="padding:5px;">SPRINGFIELD -- Driver's Education teaches young drivers many things during courses, but HB-785 aims to improve relations between police and drivers during a traffic stop.

On her last day of driver's education, 16 year-old Georgia Phillips is looking forward to doing things on her own.

"I'm excited about not having to go with a parent and being able to get McDonalds when I want to," Georgia says.

She knows to pull over for emergency vehicles, but one thing she has not covered in class, is how to behave when she is pulled over by police - something she has rarely experienced.

When asked if she had ever been in the car for a traffic stop, Georgia replied, "I think I have when I was younger, but not since I've started driving."

HB-785, proposed by Representative Gretchen Bangert of St. Louis, would make traffic stop behavior mandatory for driver's education.

Daphne Greenlee works with the Driver's Education program at the Mercy Injury Prevention Center. She says that while they do cover what to do when an emergency vehicle passes, they do not focus on how students should interact with police.

"It's not something that we spend alot of time on, if you get pulled over, what to do at that point. and so it's definitely an area that we could see being beneficial to our students to take the time to learn that information," Greenlee says.

Corporal Joe Daugherty is a 7-year veteran with the Nixa Police Department. He has advice for young drivers when they are pulled over.

"With any traffic stop that we do, until we get up there, it's mostly unknown what is going on in that vehicle," Cpl. Daugherty explains. "If you follow instructions, don't make any quick movements, and you let them know what you are doing, it should be a pretty boring incident."

Nixa Police made it clear they do not a have a stance on this bill. Representative Bangert tells KOLR10 it will be introduced in the Missouri House at the next session in January.

Until then, young drivers can educate themselves on the do's and dont's of a traffic stop at this link to the Missouri Highway Patrol Website.</td></tr></table>

SPRINGFIELD -- Driver's Education teaches young drivers many things during courses, but HB-785 aims to improve relations between police and drivers during a traffic stop.

<media:text>getting behind the wheel can be a rattling experience for new drivers... especially during a traffic stop by police. joe kolr10's jesse inman joins us now with details on a new piece of legislation that aims to prepare inexperienced drivers to handle being pulled over by law enforcement. jesse good morning. jesse: heather and joe good morning... it's not uncommon for a new driver to get shaken up when seeing flashing lights in the rearview mirror... but house bill 7-85 is an effort to sharpen etiquette for teens going through drivers education courses. jesse inman/reporting: on her last day of drivers education.... 16 year-old georgia phillips is looking forward to doing things on her own. (georgia) probably mentally panic... you know, probably try not to jerk the wheel or anything... (daphne) and i think panic is a normal instinct, whether its a young driver, or an experienced driver.
Video: Gator attack in Hancock County caught on video

<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr valign="top"><td><a href="http://www.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/3421/6989628?cpt=8&wpid=1260"><img src="http://video-static-01.clipsyndicate.com/0f1e/2017/07/06/23/06/234876c3f3aa4b9c87765764e928359d.jpg" width="120" height="90" border="0" /></a></td><td style="padding:5px;">It was a situation that could have turned deadly when an alligator attack sent one man to the hospital in Hancock County.
News 25 was sent video of the encounter. The content you’re about to see is graphic. Viewer discretion is advised.
This alligator attack caught on camera in Hancock County was filmed while authorities were trying to relocate the creature off Highway 603. During the process, a man was bitten and taken to the hospital. A local expert says it could have been a fatal encounter if the man wasn’t able to escape the alligator’s mouth. Gulf Coast Gator Ranch Owner Allan Adams said, “They got 220 pounds per square inch of biting power. So, generally if they get a good bite they’re going to crush bone and all. They could actually tear your arm clean off.”
Hancock County deputies tell News 25 the highway temporarily shut down by Bayou Lacroix Bridge as they tried to relocate the gator.
Adams says the bayou must have flooded during the storms a couple weeks ago, causing the gator to crawl out. “We have all this rain and all this water. It displaces the alligators so they’re able to get to places they haven’t gotten before.”
Authorities say the man bitten experienced no life threatening injuries. Adams tells News 25 there are a few scenarios increasing the risk. “If you happen to be in their territory, around a female’s nest, the female will protect her nest and that’s one time she can be pretty vicious.”
According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department, the alligator was about ten feet long, weighing several hundred pounds. The size is just above average for a typical wild alligator.
The good news is an alligator attack like this is rare in South Mississippi. “You have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than getting bit by an alligator. You really have to put yourself in a bad position to get bit by an alligator,” said Adams.</td></tr></table>

<media:text>evan: in safety matters... a new state law tightening up on gun control will go into effect saturday. but not without a fight! evan: voters passed a law back in november that prevent gun owners from carrying magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition. ksee 24's matt mendes is live in the studio... matt... gun rights groups are trying to stall this. matt: yes, two gun rights groups have filed an injunction. they want to suspend the new law... until a final ruling is made... on a class action lawsuit. the base of the lawsuit?... gun owners say the state has no right... to destroy their magazines they purchased legally. any gun owner who has a magazine that can hold more than 10 rounds of ammo... will have to give it up by saturday. john lewis/herb bauer 1:00:49 all of our rights are becoming to be attacked 1:00:52 john lewis works at herb bauer in fresno. he says state law has prevented them from selling high capacity magazines since 2000. but those who already owned them were allowed to keep the magazines, until now. under the new law those with high capacity magazines must destroy them or turn them into law enforcement - with no reimbursement. john lewis/herb bauer 1:02:49 they just need to learn how to change their mags quickly and be able to stay in the fight if they need to defend themselves 1:02:54 gun control advocate eric payne supports the new legislation. eric payne/supports gun control 1:13:06 it's going to make families safer, essentially 1:13:09 he says the law inspired by the 2015 san bernardino mass shooting, is a step in the right direction. eric payne/supports gun control 1:14:39 god forbid there's an active shooter on an elementary school campus or a college campus, you know, it would be tragic 1:14:48 but, lewis says he doesn't think the ban will stop a mass shooter. 1:01:29 mass shootings are going to occur whether we have these magazines or not. guys that are hell bent on doing that are going to find a way and even if they use a 10 round magazine, that's their intent 1:01:41 right now, a class action lawsuit is pending to overturn the new law. lewis says the national rifle association and california rifle and pistol association are asking a judge to suspend the law until a final ruling is made. asking a judge to suspend the law until a final ruling is made. matt: gun owners will have to dispose of their high capacity magazines... or turn them into law enforcement by saturday. this also begs the question of how strict law enforcement agencies will be in enforcing this new law. we have calls into sheriff margaret mims office - and are waiting to hear back. live in studio matt mendes ksee 24 lntm.</media:text>

<media:text>news. ((ang))confusion and misconception- the words of a woman who immigrated to this country- explaining the process she says so many, do not understand. eyewitness news reporter, julia leblanc brings us a closer look at the process. ((julia))becoming a united states citizen is not an easy process. in order to better understand what happens, i spoke with a woman who made the change last year. dzenisa bajrektarevic immigrated from bosnia with her mother and sister when she was just 11 years old. she's lived in america for 16 years but just last december she became a u.s. citizen with the help of the mohawk valley refugee center.dzenisa says there's a lack of knowledge when it comes to the process of immigration."i've heard many stories and where they say immigrants come to this country and don't pay taxes or get stuff handed to them and i think that's just a very big misconception." dzenisa says the process of becomming a citizen is long and thorough. she filled out a lengthy application, got her pictures taken, and traveled to albany for fingerprinting. three months later, she landed an interview. but in the meantime, she was studying for her citizenship test. "they ask you ten questions, they ask you to write some stuff down as well just to make sure that you can write in english. uhm, and then they they go over your background, your history uhm, you know, just make sure you know, you're not a criminal."while it is a long process, dzenisa says it was all worth it in the end." i feel like this is my second home now and this is where i will stay so, i decided to become a u.s. citizen. "as for the rumors about immigration? " i just think we need to give our country the benefit of the doubt and believe in them that they do not just easily let people in this country." <media:text>A man was found dead and at least eight people were hospitalized after an attacker rammed a van into a crowd of worshipers near a mosque in north London, in what police are treating as terrorism.

A 48-year-old man was restrained by members of the public and then arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder, according to London's Metropolitan police.

"No matter what the motivation for this attack proves to be, we are keeping an open mind. This is being treated as a terrorist attack and the Counter-Terrorism Command is investigating," said Neil Basu, senior national coordinator for terrorism.

Latest developments

-- Police say they believe there was only one man in the van.

-- Investigation of the incident is being carried out by the Counter-Terrorism Command.

-- Prime Minister Theresa May will chair an emergency meeting Monday morning.

-- Muslim Council of Britain releases a statement calling it a "terror attack."

Basu confirmed witness accounts that the man found dead at the scene was already receiving first aid when the attack unfolded.

It was unclear whether the man died as a result of the attack, Basu said. Eight other people were taken to hospital. Two of them are seriously injured.

Basu said police believed that the alleged attacker acted alone, despite earlier reports from witnesses who said they saw two other people flee the scene.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan called the incident a "horrific terror attack." The assault comes on the heels of another attack at London Bridge, in which three men rammed a van into pedestrians and went on a stabbing spree at nearby bars and restaurants, killing eight people.

"We don't yet know the full details, but this was clearly a deliberate attack on innocent Londoners, many of whom were finishing prayers during the holy month of Ramadan," Khan said.

What happened

Witnesses told CNN they saw a van driving at high speed along Seven Sisters Road.

Abdikadir Warfa, who was on the street at the time, said the van turned into an alleyway and hit a number of people before coming to a stop. Images from the scene show a white van wedged against a traffic barrier at the end of a dead-end street.

"I saw a man, he was underneath the van," Warfa said, who described how his friends tried to lift the van to free him.

Warfa said many of the people in the street were worshipers who'd been attending late-night taraweeh prayers at Finsbury Park Mosque.

He said as he attended the injured, others grappled with the driver as he tried to run away.

"The man tried to escape. My friends told me there were two other guys with him but they caught the driver," said Warfa.

Ratib Al-Sulaman told CNN he was sitting with friends two minutes away, when an "incident in front of the mosque" occurred.

"Some big van ... crushing the people in the mosque. So we just run straight away, I see police, ambulance, people lying on the floor, and a van as well," said Al-Sulaman. "There was three people in the van. One has been arrested and two ran away," he added.

Witness Saeed Hashi described how he fought with the driver as he waited for police to arrive. "We stopped the guy and we put him on the floor and people managed to call police," Hashi said, showing CNN his bruises. "He punched me in the head."

Hashi was one of three people who held the suspect on the ground for 10 minutes. "He was really shouting and aggressive ... he was just spitting on us," Hashi said.

Witnesses described seeing between eight to 10 people lying on the ground near to the Muslim Welfare House on Seven Sisters Road.

"I saw something that was horrendous, something we should not see the in the 21st Century, something we should not see in the last 10 days of Ramadan," said Mohammed Abdul. "It's something we should not see. Tomorrow when I come to the mosque I'll be looking over my shoulder because two guys are still out there," he added.

"He (the driver) wasn't drunk or anything ... I know this is deliberate. This is a terrorist attack," said Abdul.

Area closed off

A statement released by the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) condemned what it described as a "terror attack."

"During the night, ordinary British citizens were set upon while they were going about their lives, completing their night worship. My prayers are with the victims and their families," read the statement.

Finsbury Park, in the London Borough of Islington, is a bustling, diverse area of north London. Around 10% of the borough's population is Muslim.

The incident was the third to have used a vehicle to kill pedestrians in London since March this year.

UK Prime Minister Theresa May said police are treating the incident "as a potential terrorist attack," and has confirmed that counter-terrorism command is leading an active inquiry.

The incident comes at a time when emotions are high in the UK, in the wake of a series of deadly terrorist attacks.

On May 22, a suicide attack killed 22 people and injured nearly 60 after an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester.

Then on June 3, eight people were killed and 48 were injured when three men drove a van into pedestrians on London Bridge before leaping out and launching a stabbing spree in nearby bars and restaurants.</media:text>

<media:text>Orangeburg County deputies seized $75,000 worth of marijuana and two men were arrested during a special operation Wednesday.

A small amount of marijuana was found in a duffle bag in the backseat of a white Dodge truck. They later discovered a suitcase carrying 19 pounds of marijuana.

officers say they also found 70 Xanax pills hidden in a shoe, and a .40 caliber handgun in the trunk.

25-year-old Forrest Brown and 29-year-old McKinley Johnson were arrested.

They were each charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, trafficking marijuana, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

"the two mowers--two 72 inch red exmarks--my weed eaters, my leaf blowers, my 15 gallon sprayer, everything, everything." the only part of his business left are two items not with him on that day. "this is it. two chainsaws." jackson only had liability insurance on the truck...because he couldn't afford to insure all the tools. "i don't know how to fulfill there contracts. i got five more months on my contracts on color lab and moonridge out at pleasant hope. how am i going to fulfill that contract i got five more months." beyond this season's contracts...jack son is worried the crook...stole his livelihood...perm anantly... since he can't afford to replace what was taken. now he's left wondering what his future looks like. <media:text>new tonight, a red bluff police officer jumps into action -- jumping onto train tracks to save a woman attempting to take her own life... good evening, glad you're with us, i'm brent weber. and i'm allison woods... the train was mere seconds from hitting the woman...when officer darren holman pulled her out of harms way... k-r-c-r news channel seven's noelle medina joins us now with more on this heroic story... that's right -- officer holman estimates it was just three seconds between the moment he saved the woman and when the train passed by, missing both of them.... nats of train horn "all i could hear when i was running was the train blasting its horn, it wasn't long after i pulled her down the train passed by so i just happened to make it with plenty of time to spare plenty of time he says...but in a matter of seconds on wednesday afternoon, officer holman saved the life of a woman in emotional distress... a woman he had responded to that morning over a case of domestic violence at nearby st. elizabeth's hospital... "she was emotional, she was distant and she seemed like she was lost" he believes she left the hospital and came directly to the tracks. "i think she was originally sitting here because when she looked at the train and saw it honking and heard it she looked here on the ground and just kind of leaned up against the rail and slightly leaned back a little bit" that's when he sprinted from his car towards her... "so i had to run i had to step over the rails and as i was kind of in motion i just picked her up with my momentum kind of picked her up and just pulled and given a second chance, thanks to what officer holman calls a "team effort" "if that person hadn't called when they did if i hadn't gotten the call when i did if my sergeant didn't tell me that i would've probably come in here a little bit slower it just worked out how it was supposed to, i was supposed to be here yesterday i believe, so it just happened" a fate that saved a life...something many call the actions of a hero... nm: "you don't consider yourself a hero?" "absolutely not like i said it any officer i know, same reaction they would've had, same thing they would've done." although some witnesses mistook her belongings for a baby wrapped in sheets... officer holman tells me the woman was on the tracks alone noelle medina, k-r-c-r news channel</media:text>
