We need players! The girl's basketball teams need players at every level, from 4th to 8th grade. Go to School News and download an application.

We also need soccer players. 1st through 6th grades. Sign up now and join the fun in September! Go to School News to download the form.

Attached please find the supply list for Level 1--grade 6 and Levels 2 & 3--grades 7 & 8 and the fee letter for Level 1--grade 6. If your student has been assigned to Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Licker or Mrs. McIntosh, please contact them before purchasing supplies. Level 2 & 3 fee letters will be posted at a future date.

Community and Service Yearly Totals

Clissold students have performed admirably this year giving back to their school and community. They have cleaned rivers and lakes, tutored other students, and filed for their teachers. Many are active in a church or library. All together, Clissold IB MYP students have contributed over 2000 hours of service this year, more than half of which was completed by Level 1 students. We are very proud of your work and we thank you.

Fall CoRec Soccer

Registration for boys' and girls' soccer for grades 1 through 6 is now open. Games begin in the fall but you must sign up now. Please download and print the registration form and return to office with payment by the end of June.

6th Grade Spanish Class Students

Sixth grade students in Sra. Mayer's spanish class will have an oral test on "El Juramento a la Bandera", (The Pledge of Allegiance), on Monday, May 4. Students will be required to recite the pledge from memory. Below you can find the Pledge:

Congratulations to our newest set of Math Wizards! These students have worked hard with their teachers and parents in learning their multiplication facts. They are being recognized with Math Marvel ribbons personally presented by the Assistant Principal, Mrs. Hernandez. These students who are joining the family of Multiplication Wizards are: Bridget Bulger, Michael O'Shea, Joe Moran, Ian Wolf, Jacob Williams, Nick Kubik, Lauryn Jackson, Julius Owens, Najee Cross, Joy Cromwell, Lazarus Greenwood, and Chandler Perrry. Congratulations!!!!

Clissold: New and Exciting

Clissold School, featuring IBMYP and Montessori programs, is full of exciting events.

In room 109, taught by Mrs. Bulger, the kindergarten and 1st grade students are anticipating the arrival of their praying mantises, which will hatch in February.

In room 101, the 2nd and 3rd grade students, taught by Mrs. Pietrus, are learning about sharks, amphibians, and symmetry—all at once. The students are excited about the field trip they will be attending to go snowshoeing at Indiana Dunes Environmental Learning Center on January 27th.
