June is a special month: it’s Erica Durance’s 32nd birthday!

The June edition of Durance Magazine will celebrate Erica Durance’s 32nd birthday and you are invited to the party! Help us put together a full edition celebrating Erica Durance.

Send in a special questionnaire and submit art! You have until June 5th!

There is a special giveaway associated with this edition:
All of those that submit their entries will have the chance to win 5 kits.
Each kit will contain:

Special Issue #6: #TomWellingIsSuperman Trending Event!

The first I met with Tom he came in early to start the season to read scenes with me and the producer. Right then and there I thought we've got somebody who is not buying into the fame surrounding him. He wants people to feel comfortable and he's like a Southern gentleman, which is something I think his character brings to that Clark Kent thing. Very down to earth, very fun, very nice person.

It's time to celebrate the man who has made Smallville what it is! He has brought Clark Kent to life for 9 seasons and almost 200 episodes. He's directed several amazing episodes himself. And this season he has brought Clark even closer to his heroic role as Superman as well as taken on the mantel of Executive Producer. In short, Tom Welling Is Superman.

Special Issue #5: Erica Durance is coming to Twitter!

Welcome to this special issue of Clois News!

Looking back right now, I am a little shocked. I spent so much time just focusing on putting one foot in front of the other! It's been this nice steady job for the last three years, going into my fourth. And it started off as only four episodes. I'm all about living in the present, so I was just trying to do the best I could with what was in front of me. But you go to Comic-Con and everyone is so positive and excited. The energy around it is amazing, so no complaints here.

Erica Durance is coming to Twitter! For one night only Erica is going to be tweeting as part of CW's Tweet Week. She will be there this Friday, May 7th from 8pm - 9pm EST while Hostage is playing on the east coast.

To celebrate this event, promote Erica/Smallville and show our love for her we're holding an #EricaDurance Trending Event!

Trending begins at 7pm Eastern / 6pm Central (Countdown / Convert to your local time). Start tweeting as much as you can and be sure to add #EricaDurance to every tweet. We'll continue right until 9pm.

Focus the majority of your efforts between 7pm and 8pm. That way #EricaDurance can be trending even before she gets on Twitter! Once she's on, it'll be much easier to keep #EricaDurance in the Trending Topics because she'll be around to talk with. When Erica starts tweeting at 8pm you'll want to be able to ask her questions and interact! You'll still be able to help with continued trending by adding #EricaDurance to the tweets you send her!

How will tweeting with Erica work?
In order to send tweets that Erica will see guaranteed, you have to use the CW's Site or ITweeVee to send your tweets. Just @Reply to the username she's using (that hasn't been announced yet), type your question or comment and send it (and be sure to include #EricaDurance in the tweet to help with trending)! The site automatically adds Smallville to your tweet for you and adds it to the ongoing Smallville discussion feed! Erica will see the tweets and respond to the one's she can!

We don't know yet what account Erica will be using but it's most likely something like @CWEricaDurance.

If you can fit #EricaDurance into your tweets to Erica, we ask that you do so that we can continue trending #EricaDurance between 8pm and 9pm. And try to send some normal #EricaDurance tweets during this time as well! If you want to do that but not distract yourself while Erica's online, use FutureTweet or TwAitter to set up the tweets beforehand. :) You can also use two accounts, one to ask Erica questions with and one to tweet #EricaDurance tweets with.

Yes, there is! SPREAD THE WORD! We need as many fans as possible participating. There is also some other stuff we could use help with, please e-mail us.

I can't be there to help trend! But I want to help!
The biggest thing you can do to help whether you can be there or not is SPREAD THE WORD! Both about Erica tweeting and our Trending Event! Tell all your friends on twitter and all your friends not on twitter! If they don't have a Twitter, encourage them to get one!

To encourage tweeting during the #EDfor22 Trending Event and to have a little fun, clois_news will be having a little trivia contest!

Prizes: Two $15 (U.S. currency) iTunes gift cards (good only with the U.S. iTunes store). If there are any ideas for a good prize for international fans, please let me know! UPDATE: The iTunes gift card prizes are available for the following countries: U.S., Mexico, Canada, Indonesia, Malayasia, the Philippines, Thailand, Australia, Denmark, Netherlands, Taiwan, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, Singapore, Brazil, France, South Korea, Portugal plus a few other countries. The amount will be near the equivalent of $15 U.S. Dollars.

For 6 seasons and over 70 episodes Erica Durance has brought the intrepid Lois Lane to life. As Smallville enters its 10th season next year one thing all Lois Lane/Erica Durance fans hope for is this: Erica in all 22 episodes!

To promote this wish and to celebrate Erica's amazing work as Lois, we're having a Twitter Trending Event on Friday, April 23rd, 2010 at 4pm EST/3pm CST on the afternoon that the episode “Charade” premieres where we will try to get the hashtag “#EDfor22” to appear on Twitter’s top 10 most tweeted tags for the afternoon to send a strong message to the writers that fans of Lois Lane still are still passionate and eager to see her appear in a full set of 22 episodes next season.

With season 10, perhaps being the final season of this series, this may very well be our last chance to see Lois Lane in every episode of the season.

It's been an amazing time! I want to thank all of you for sticking with clois_news through the ups and downs of this first volume. 38 regular issues, 3 special issues and 5 Smallville wrap-up issues so far! I hope you've been enjoying it as much as I have.
