Bar 1 Presents the Return of the Thanksgiving Turkey Trolley Trot, Wednesday, November 21, 8:00 PM

This year give thanks that Bar 1 is hosting Chicago’s liveliest Turkey Day party. The annual Turkey Trolley Trot will take place on November 21, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. As usual, guests can start at any Bar 1 location and move on from there. The $20 package includes a food buffet, domestic drafts, pilgrim punch, and trolley transportation to all six bars.

Durkin's Hosting Round-Trip Bus Transportation and Tailgate for Illini/Northwestern Game , Saturday, November 24

Durkin’s Tavern, Chicago’s favorite Illini bar, will be providing round-trip bus transportation to the Illinois game against Northwestern on Saturday, November 24 at Northwestern’s Ryan Field. A 2-hour tailgate will ensue upon arrival in a heated tent on the golf course next to the stadium. The bus will leave 3 hours before game time (game time is still TBA). Price includes ticket to the game, round-trip transportation and tailgate. Package option to exclude ticket to the game is also available.

The Orion Ensemble, Chicago’s nationally recognized and critically acclaimed chamber music ensemble, continues its 20th Anniversary Season with “A Night at the Opera,” featuring works by two well-known composers of opera along with a piano transcription of an opera excerpt: Carl Maria von Weber’s Quintet in B-flat Major for Clarinet and String Quartet, Op. 34; Franz Liszt’s transcription of “Am Stillen Herd,” S. 448 from Richard Wagner’s opera Die Meistersinger; and Giuseppe Verdi’s String Quartet in E Minor.
