7500 is a 2012 horror film under the direction of Takashi Shimizu, the creator of the the Japanese horror film series Ju-on which was later adapted by Hollywood and Americanized to be The Grudge horror film series. Will a Japanese director make this American horror film feel more like a scary Japanese horror or not? Let's find it out here.

Passengers on a transpacific airliner (Vista Pacific Flight 7500) encounter what appears to be a supernatural force.

7500 is written by Adam Rosenberg (TV's Lost), produced by Taka Ichise (The Grudge), Roy Lee (The Ring); Executive Producer: John Middleton directed by Takashi Shimzu (The Grudge); Starring Ryan Kwanten (TV's "True Blood"), Leslie Bibb (Zookeeper), Nicky Whelan (Hall Pass), Jerry Ferrera (TV's "Entourage"), Christian Serratos (Twilight Saga), Jamie Chung (Hangover Part II), Amy Smart (TV's "Shameless").

7500 will be released Aug. 31 from CBS Films.

7500 Film Trailer Review

Almost every idea and concept nowadays has either been taken or made already. The real challenge to every producers, directors and writers is to come up with something fresh even if it is under such said category. Seeing this airline thriller might remind you of a few films under the same set up like Snakes on the Plane, Red Eye, The Horror at 37000 Feet, The Twilight Zone movie, past action films with an airplane/airline as its main setting. So what does 7500 has in store for us, well it might be something good but chances are that it could also be bad.

There has been a great decline in quality Hollywood horror movies in the past decade or two and as a horror film fan it was quite a disappointment. Luckily, we have a great alternative, Asian horror movies. The original Japanese version of The Ring followed by Ju-On (The Grudge) were the first two Asian horror films that both entertained and scared the hell out of me. So when I heard that the creator of the Ju-On series was directing this airline thriller my hopes were raised a bit, but still the writer is still a US based one. I am not against a US writer, heck some of my most beloved horror film titles were written by good American writers, but there can be quite a handful of movie writers in the horror film genre who really sucked at providing a scary and convincing horror story. Hopefully, the creative input of the Japanese director could help save a potentially bad horror writing for the film. As a horror film fan, I've seen it all. Hopefully there is more to this film than just all passengers already dead and the entire film is about them being in limbo. Hopefully there is more to 7500. Categorized more as a supernatural thriller, my biggest question to 7500 is what is its difference with a straightforward horror title? On the bright side, the trailer didn't say much and it somehow added to the mystery of what could be this supernatural force to flight 7500's crew and passengers?

The Avengers Extended Super Bowl Trailer Impressions: Avengers Finally Assembled!

The Avengers is a 2012 super hero film from Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures doing its distribution. The much awaited super hero dream film slated for a May 2012 release features an ensemble cast of Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. A 60-min extended first trailer for The Avengers was recently released in Super Bowl and here is what we think of it.

The Avengers Super Bowl Spot Film Trailer Review

Besides being the home for the annual National Football League championships, the Super Bowl is also the prefect venue to market any kind of product. This is where The Avengers made its 30-minute TV Spot debut and was later extended to a full 60 minutes film trailer with the inclusion of a very kick ass trailer finale. Right from the start I will say that The Avengers trailer is freaking awesome.

We finally know what Loki's role in the Avengers film as a leader of an invading alien force. No its not the Skrulls like what I also first assumed back at Captain America. The trailer feature a quick shot of the descending alien forces that Loki might probably lead which looks like Ultron-like robots but there aren't any official confirmation for this. Guess we'll just have to wait for the official full trailer or a much more detailed press release, or we can always just go crazy with waiting and watch it when the film actually hits the theaters.

I noticed some shots of Iron Man and I think the film would feature a new suit, the one shown when he fly up to the alien ship. Then we have Chris Hemsworth's (Thor) toned down body which doesn't look as good as when he was in the Thor movie. I personally am not a big fan of Captain America's new suit though, but guess it is just a little nitpicking on the much awaited super hero film of 2012. We finally have some more action shots of Black Widow and Hawkeye which is okay. I just hope that the film would feature a little more character build up and screen time for Hawkeye and Black Widow. We already have movies movies about most of the Avengers except for the two, (three if you count Nick Fury). I know Hawkeye is not the most popular Avenger, but he is still an integral member of the super hero team. For someone who doesn't know much or read any of Hawkeye's story (comics), I guess a future film about him would be my fix. What is not there to say about The Avengers trailer. It is action packed, kick-ass moments and seemingly superb character interactions.

The Amazing Spider-Man Film Trailer Review

The Amazing Spider-Man Official trailer seems to do what fans familiar to the series have always dreamed of, a somewhat loyal to its comics root film adaptation of Spider-Man. Some film fans were a bit skeptic at first when they heard that Hollywood is doing another reboot of the first Spider-Man film franchise (2002-2007) popularized by director Sam Raimi and actors Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson. But after seeing The Amazing Spider-Man official trailer, this second attempt on the spider-Man film franchise is starting to

look pretty rad.

There are certain things to love and hate with the Raimi Trilogy Spider-Man film franchise. Particular things some familiar with the super hero series and critics alike questioned include the major alteration of the original Spider-Man lore: Miscasting characters from Mary Jane Watson being Peter's first love interest rather than Gwen Stacey to Gwen being just another office fling; and the injustice done (debatable) on the Spider-Man villain Venom on the last title in the Raimi's film trilogy. Some aspects that movie goers like on Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy were the various epic action moments of the film, superb character build up for Doctor Octopus, the original Spider-Man costume used in the film, and the actual concept of a Spider-Man film itself. But its 2012, and a different production team is behind that, so what does this new film franchise under Marc Webb has potentially in store for us this Summer of 2012?

Ben Parker is pretty much alive on this Spider-Man film reboot. The Amazing Spider-Man trailer hints that this is more about Peter's mysterious parents, his first year as the masked vigilante (because that is what Spider-Man really is), and his first romantic relationship with Gwen Stacy who happens to be the daughter of the the police out to get Spider-Man. All the elements of a right Spider-Man movie seems to be in this film. I am happy that Hollywood has learned from the mistakes of the first series and started to listen to what fans and film goers might actually like in a spider-Man film. This Spider-Man film is darker and has a more brooding Nolan Batman film feel to it, and I am fine with that. The amazing Spider-Man even pokes fun of the fact that Spider-Man wears a skin tight red and blue suit but still manages to kick some criminal and police butts.

Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2012 reboot's first film villain is The Lizard. Growing up with the 90's Spider-Man the animated series, I can somewhat say that the film probably will stay true to Dr. Curt Connors (The Lizard) character of being a friend and potential mentor to Peter Parker but will later turned savage no thanks to the genetic alteration caused by The Lizard serum. But it seems like they are adding more to Doc Connors character by associating him with Peter's parents who mysteriously left him in the care of his Aunt May and Uncle Ben. To what the connections all are makes The Amazing Spider-Man a must see.

Times are changing, and what people might love r hate with past films might (or might not be) remedied by newer versions. Some films are worth rebooting, while some just need to be left alone, and what of Spider-Man? Well, after seeing this trailer all I can say is that this reboot is very much needed and a welcome addition to the excellent superhero film franchise under Marvel Entertainment.

Plot / Synopsis

The story mode is divided between both Part I and Part II from the series, respectively featuring the younger and older incarnations from the series' characters. The role-playing game elements from Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2's story mode were removed in favor of consecutive battles, thus reducing the time spent during the mode. Although it mainly focuses on Naruto Uzumaki's adventures, it will feature new sidestories lead by supporting characters such as Minato Namikaze and Itachi Uchiha that will expand their backgrounds. While the game covers both Part I and Part II, all of the characters created for the original episodes will be playable. New animated cutscenes will be used for the story mode. With 75 playable characters and 15 supports, the game will include the debut of the new Kage introduced in Part II, as well as Kakashi Hatake's team during his childhood. Few characters will appear assisting such as Fū and Torune who are teamed up with Danzō Shimura.

This is still the same trailer that we saw last time on CMAQUEST first feature on Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generation, the only difference is that it is extended and feature all playable characters and their gameplay trailer. The trailer looks superb and gamers who enjoyed the first game - Naruto shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 (PS3, Xbox360) would definitely love this major update slash game sequel.

To what the story does Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations has to explain why there are kid versions of the characters from Naruto Shippuden or from the first few seasons of Naruto is still a mystery, but one hing everyone can agree upon is that this trailer is more than enough to convince Naruto fans and gamers to purchase this title.

The trailer and IMDB info made me wonder as to why this is classified more as a thriller rather than horror,when it obviously tackles the paranormal. The trailer hinted that Robert De Niro's characters has some evil supernatural powers, but recognizing the film's genre guess there is more grounded and natural elements for this to just be a thriller. I have some one particular guess as to why this film screams more of a psychological thriller and that prediction probably has to do with hypnosis or probably insanity.

I found Red Lights film trailer to be an interesting film and would definitely be on my must-see films under the horror-thriller genre of 2012. Intrigued with the film's premise, curious on the outcome of the two unfortunate psychologist out to disprove paranormal activities through science, and what is the secret behind the "powers" of this world-renowned psychic.

Rampart Trailer Impressions: Will There be Redemption for These Kinds of Cops?

Rampart is a drama film slated for a February 2012 release and was first seen on the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival. Rampart stars Woody Harrelson as a dirty cop set fictitiously amidsr the real Rampart scandal back in the 90's. Let's check out the film's trailer here.

When he gets caught on tape beating a suspect, he finds himself in a personal and emotional downward spiral as the consequences of his past sins and his refusal to change his ways in light of a department-wide corruption scandal seal his fate. Brown internalizes his fear, anguish and paranoia as his world, complete with two ex-wives who are sisters, two daughters, an aging mentor dispensing bad advice, investigators galore, and a series of seemingly random women, starts to unravel. In the end, what is left is a human being stripped of all his pretense, machismo, chauvinism, arrogance, sexism, homophobia, racism, aggression, misanthropy; but is it enough to redeem him as a man?

This is why I love movies, it let's you know what it is like to be on someone else's shoe. Rampart follows the life of a dirty cop and the consequences of his decisions in life. Although the film is a work of fiction, it does provide a seemingly stellar performance from Woody Harrelson as a dirty cop doing the people's dirty work. It also educates us a little about Rampart scandal, a time in history when widespread corruption was found in the Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums (or CRASH) anti-gang unit of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Rampart Division in the late 1990s.

In a politically incorrect time where sex, drugs, and violence reign, can the world tolerate a dirty cop? I am personally intrigued of how will the film unfold itself. Will there be any kind of redemption or resolution to this seemingly hopeless guy, or the a completely different horrendous outcome. Is he really doing this because of what the situation or his superiors told him to do or is there more to it than that? What makes man a man?

After the conclusion of the War, Aang and Zuko brought people from the four nations together and founded the United Republic, creating Republic City, a large "metropolis powered by steampunk-type technology" such as cars and motorcycles. Aang and Katara had three children, the youngest of which is Tenzin, who has been confirmed to be an Airbender. Meanwhile, Toph Bei Fong traveled extensively to teach Metalbending. After Aang's death, the next Avatar, Korra, was born to the Southern Water Tribe.

At the present time, seventy years after the end of the War, Korra is a rebellious seventeen year-old girl. As the Avatar, she has already mastered Waterbending, Earthbending and Firebending. She will learn Airbending from Aang and Katara's son Tenzin. Tenzin himself is married; Pema is his wife. Jinora, a "bookworm", and Ikki, a "motor-mouth", are his daughters while Meelo, his youngest child, is his son.

The primary and only confirmed setting is Republic City. Anti-benders called "Equalists", who oppose the arts of bending, utilize techniques such as chi blocking to further their goals of revolution, led by Amon. Korra must fight rampant crime and the anti-bender revolt, assisted by two brothers, Mako, a Firebender, and Bolin, an Earthbender. She is also joined by her animal guide, Naga, and the Metalbending police force of Republic City, who are led by Toph's daughter.

The official trailer for The Legend of Korra first made its debut last Comic-Con 2011 which made every (generally most) fans of the original epic Nickelodeon animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender ecstatic and overjoyed to be reintroduced to the same universe. Now that it's finally 2012, it is only a matter of time now before "bending" will finally be "in" again.

I really got confused when making this post. Should I entitle the post about the animated series sequal Avatar: The Legend of Korra or The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra? For those not aware of it, James Cameron (director of Titanic and Avatar - 2009 3-D film) claim rights to the Avatar name trademark which made the horrendous M. Night Shyamalan film adaptation of the beloved Nick animated series use the The Last Airbender as its title back in 2010. It looks like the same scenario happened to The Legend of Korra, because rather than calling it Avatar: The Legend of Korra, the new kids show used The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra knowing that this sequel is not about the last airbender but about Korra from the water tribe. Not to mention there are already a number of airbenders in this series, Aang's son Tenzin and his children. I decided to use the The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra as this post title because that is what the first 2011 official trailer showed as its working title, although I believe that they will hopefully drop the first part of it to make it just the Legend of Korra. Well, that's just me.

In a future not so far from ours (that is what I want to imagine that this film uses), the world's most dangerous criminals are incarcerated in an inescapable and impenetrable maximum security prison... in space. So when the presidential daughter went off on a goodwill mission to that prison in space and gets abducted it is up to one "loose cannon" to save the day. What a story! This is just pure science fiction cheese we have here ladies and gentlemen.

The big question is to whether this cheese is worth tasting or not. The trailer seems to give off a delectable aura to this sci-fi cheese. Hopefully the action will keep this film from not sucking that much. Why is it that the some of the best rescuers are loose cannons? Isn't there anyone else? Well guess we'll find out when Snow infiltrates and successfully rescues the princess, I mean the president's daughter in Lock-Out.

If there is one thing worth dying for, it our dear loved ones... our family. A family vacation takes a wrong turn when most of its members got abducted, and what seems to be a kidnapping case turns to be something more intriguing and dangerous. Family in danger, conspiracy, and a man caught in between. A perfect set up for an action film right?

The Cold Light of Day features Bruce Willis who is a Central Intelligence Agent, but this is not about him but his son played by Henry Cavill who found his father's secret the hard way. Now he is left to his few resources to decide on the fate of his family. The trailer started out like an everyday family vacation but later transforms into an action-pack trailer that sets up the mood for the film. The concept may not be so original but it gives off an excellent vibe of action to it. What could be inside that suitcase? Who are the people pulling the strings and abducted the protagonists family? Those questions are more than enough to pique one's action fans community to go check this out. Not to mention dear old Bruce Willis is in it.

The center of the conflict between the Street Fighter and Tekken universes is a cubical object that crash-landed to Earth. The object is of a mysterious origin and researchers worldwide are unable to determine what purpose it serves. The only thing that can be understood is that when beings come into conflict around this object, it releases a water-like energy that brings more power to the combatants. Due to the object's tendency to react to conflict between beings, they name it "Pandora". What this object has done that forces the characters of each universe to come to blows will be further explored.

Street Fighter X Tekken Sony Exclusive Characters Game Trailer Review

The biggest hype that this Sony system exclusive character news were Pac-Man and Mega Man. Pac-Man because of how cool can Street Fighter X Tekken can get with the exclusion of that beloved video game classic icon, Pac-Man. Then we have Mega man which currently received some very mixed reviews from the gaming community. Haters will always hate and I can see why, this is not the android Japanese mech kid that fans grew fund off, but the bad box art version of the very first Mega Man game. Not to mention Megaman doesn't belong to both universes. But if you just look at these exclusive character trailer, all five of them are pretty farfetch from both Tekken and Street Fighter universes. So why hate one particular character?

This is not the first time that games have included characters outside of its universe(s). One of the more recent fighting game titles that did this was last 2011's Mortal Kombat (MK9) by including Freddy Krueger as a playable character. Nor this is the first time that a fighting game had a brand exclusives, so this announcement came to no surprise at all. There is something very interesting about the unknown, about mythical things, species that ceased to exist. This is probably why it is interesting to check out a serious film that somehow plays on such myths and rumors. The big question is how would they make a film that piques the curiosity of people about something that once was while having an engaging and engrossing effect. Well The Hunter seems to pull that off (for me that is).

After watching the trailer for The Hunter, it made me search for the extinct Tasmanian Tiger and to me the creature was very ordinary, although the thought that one or two of its kind might still exist would be very interesting. A film that features the beauty of Tasmania and the myth/rumor of the existence of the Tasmanian Tiger is what this film uses, but we all know that it is more of the mystery andthe characters hunting it. The film was aptly named "The Hunter" right? The trailer looks good and I don't mind catching it once its out this 2012.

Nothing seems to be original anymore. Almost everything has already been conceived and executed. This holds especially true with films. But what must a movie do to somehow get away from the looming shadow of a previous film that it draws inspiration from? The answer is to make it their own by adding new plot twist and more action.

Brake reminded me of 2010's Buried. Both the main protagonists wakes up in a claustrophobic location with little means to connect to outside, then the plot later unveils itself. Although the two filmsmight have the same ideas, they are definitely two different films. Brake is more of an action espionage film which can be seen in the trailer. Besides trying to get out from his captivity which the trailer spoiled, the big question is will the protagonist chose his loved ones or his duty as an agent for the government? With those questions plus a seemingly new take from a familiar scenario, I think that Brake is probably worth of checking out.

There is something so special and admirable with people who can sacrifice their own lives just for the sake of others, their family, and their country. This is probably why most biographical films of some of the world's greatest people are so fulfilling and inspiring to watch. This time we are now able to know Burma's iconic political figure, Aung San Suu Kyi.

I am not a big fan of drama, and usually prefers the more jolly comedic, action, adventure or fantasy film titles. So when I saw the trailer for The Lady and was in awe as how good it looks, that means that it did something special there. Even in the trailer, the film featured great cinematography and superb acting by the actors. I personally got curious about this Burmese political head, and will probably check this out sometime.

Let's see what we have here, we have this geeky and immature character who believes in destiny so much and just let things happen; then we have his brother who likes indulging himself with all the riches in the world, without thinking about the future, and finally we have a mother stuck in between of her immature sons. even if this is categorized as a full drama film, I think there is more to it than meets the eye.

The film trailer for Jeff Who Lives at Home gives more of a family movie with a heart fee to it than a straightforward comedy. It is probably because of the music playing on the background, or because how sad the characters are portrayed in the trailer. Although there are some moments in the trailer that would obviously make you smile, I think that this film has something special going for it. I think the film can choose a better title, because DUH? where else would anyone live than is or her own home.

Home videos are fun to watch and share with your friends and family, but there are some videos that aren't meant to be shared... all you'll die in seven days... oh wait, wrong film. Well this is another Hollywood horror movie that tries to use the "cursed" video concept.

The question is... Is Playback's trailer any good? It feels awfully familiar. It is probably because that it falls under that "serial killer's twisted soul back to kill again" type of horror with some found-footage(genre) elements. I give this trailer a "Meh!" or a mediocre rating as I didn't feel a thing (either curiousity nor excitement) about the film in general.

Well isn't this a surprise. Looks like Capcom is going all out this 2012 with their Resident evil game franchise. We don't only get to have one major Resident Evil game title for the consoles, but two! Well there is the spin-off much more Western style-type shooter of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City and now we have a Resident Evil 6, what more can an RE fan ask for, right?

Well this is just some nicely edited clips from the upcoming Resident Evil 6 trailer which features Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield. It seems like it would try to combine two different game style or I maybe wrong. Parts of the RE6 trailer featuring Leon Kennedy has some vague hints that it will go back to what the franchise was known for jump scares and the old school survival horror creepy gamestyle; while the part featuring Chris Redfield is a more Western type cover shooter type of gameplay. Hopefully all this will work out in favor of the game. The big question is, will this be the end, or are we going to have the next Resident Evil featuring Jill Valentine and Claire Redfield?

IT IS A PROPAGANDA, I SAY!!! I didn't know that this is an actual trailer for the film because at first I thought that this was an ad for the Vita. The latest Sony handheld, the PS Vita made a cameo in this trailer which is a big "DUH?", Hahahaha bring on the flame Sony Fan Boys. But seriously speaking, this is just the film giving a nod or tribute to where the entire Resident Evil video game franchise which this film franchise was based on all started, on the original Sony Playstation.

So we have Milla Jovovich again introducing that she's Alice again, because we might have already forgotten about her on the last four films that she just starred. Well personally speaking, I already lost track of this franchise after after Extinction, I think there is something to that last film that disappointed me or made me not excited to watch the next film. I guess I need to watch that last RE film in order to understand this sequel and possible future sequels, that is if they still plan to milk this 3-D film franchise. Oh well, good luck on that.

What is there to say, there are zombies and I do hope that they finally gave us a much needed ending and a better writing and engaging storyline besides its flashy 3-D slow-mos and 3-D effects. As revealed by a trailer released by Capcom to coincide with the 2011 Tokyo Game Show, the center of the conflict between the Street Fighter and Tekken universes is a cubical object that crash-landed to Earth. The object is of a mysterious origin and researchers worldwide are unable to determine what purpose it serves. The only thing that can be understood is that when beings come into conflict around this object, it releases a water-like energy that brings more power to the combatants. Due to the object's tendency to react to conflict between beings, they name it "Pandora".

What this object has done that forces the characters of each universe to come to blows will be further explored in the game itself.

Capcom has finally listened to some of its clamoring supporters suggestion and request to have a decent plot to tie in to their fighting game series. A decent plot or storyline was lacking in Capcom's last fighting game which is Marvel vs Capcom 3. Don't get me wrong, MVC3 was an awesome crossover fighting game, but as someone who prefers some form of logic and story as to why everything is happening even if it is just a plain old fighting video game, MVC3 disappoints. Hopefully there are some cut scenes or decent story (intros, mid-battle cut scenes, unlockable endings, or a separate single player story-driven campaign) that will make Street Fighter x Tekken a more charming game outside its hardcore fighting game audience(market), or this is just me with high hopes for a fighting game.

The Stop Software Piracy Act and its cousin, Protect Intellectual Property Act are these two notorious US Bills proposed to finally put a lid on online piracy, but in expense of completely censoring out the once free internet.

CMAQUEST does not advocate or support piracy, let us just get this out of the way. There are possible better bills that the US congress may come up with the future but not in the expense of online censorship. What makes the internet a great place to hang out is the hundreds and thousands of websites and content provider that "borrows" and "utilize" video files (clips and stock footage), music (theme songs, sound effects, sound files, etc), and images which may or may not be copyrighted materials. If ever SOPA, PIPA or any other future bill that has the same content gets passed as a law, then we will all suffer a dull internet, an internet before it was actually "cool". Casa de Mi Padre is described to be in the style of an "overly dramatic telenovela" and it definitely shows. A Mexican telenovela that doesn't take itself too seriously, or so seriously that it just looks funny. Not to mention, Will Ferrell's Spanish acting prowess will be put to the ultimate test.

It has drama, passion, Mexican music, convoluted love triangles, and intrigues; all that you wish for a Mexican telenovela is here on this comedy film just over the top starring one of Hollywood's funniest actor, Will Ferrell. A film infested with all of what you like and what you don't in a every Spanish telenovela that ever came out is what this trailer has to offer, and in a way it looks fun to watch. The film is obviously just an over the top Hollywood comedy in a Spanish coating, which may or may not appeal to most audiences. But if you like Mexican references, Will Ferrell's brand of humor, and reading subtitles even if you know that they can completely speak English, then this film is a no-brainer.

A Little Bit Zombie is just screaming "low-budget" but this probably adds up to the charm of this film. Although a romantic zombie comedy film is not that revolutionary, A Little Bit Zombie does looks intriguing and entertaining.

The film looks really campy which is somehow intentional. This is a film that doesn't take itself too seriously, and this could either be the strength or weakness of the film. This time, we are not cheering for the zombie killers but the zombie and her bride to be as they both try to outrun the hunters and find a way to make a marriage with a zombie works. Will this comedy have a happy ending or a tragedy? Well I am fired up about this mix of genre film. What about you?

Well, its now Hollywood's turn to take a shot of a film shot in one continuous take. But before actual film on March 2012, let's talk about the trailer.

As a horror film enthusiast, I find the Silent House 2012 official movie trailer to be pretty intriguing and effective. It gives off this pretty creepy feeling, and if the trailer gives off that kind of lingering feeling, then what more is the actual film. Well, I might be wrong, but still i am hopeful that the actual film is far better than its movie trailer. Then I am intrigued at how they are going to pull off a convincingly scary horror film in a film shot in one choreographed take. I will definitely monitor and watch this film for the sake of curiosity. Is it going to be a straight out supernatural horror, or there is more to this silent house than darkness and screaming.

Thin Ice Film Trailer Review

When I first watched this trailer I really thought that this was some sort of a comedy or dark comedy, but it is not. Thin Ice is a crime drama film about a con-man picking the wrong choices and ultimately suffers the consequences.

So what about the trailer? It generally gives us what the film is aboutm but doesn't spoil what will happen next and how will the protagonist (assuming that it is Kinnear) get out of the mess he unfortunately created himself. The whole concept itself of a con-man chasing after a violin is probably gave the lighter vibe to it and thus the trailer somehow using a more upbeat trailer song, which in turn made me presuppose that this is a comedy. But since the element of death and blackmail is added to the mix, this may very well game punch to this film, making it a potential intelligently written crime film.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is a 2012 third-person shooter video game for Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 3, and Microsoft Windows (PC) slated for a March 2012 release. The official 2012 Capcom Resident Evil game is set on Raccoon City during the events of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, so expect familiar faces appearing on the game. Plot / Synopsis

It is September 1998 and the action centres on the ill-fated Raccoon City and the horrific consequences of the deadly T-virus outbreak, developed at the Umbrella facility. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Triple Threat Video Game Trailer Review

Fans of the classic Resident Evil video game series, specifically those who enjoyed Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis may have varying opinions on Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, mainly because of the change in gameplay. What am I talking about? Check out what the developers has to say. The facts are better straight from the horse's mouth:

Let me first say this first, the Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Triple Threat video game trailer looks awesome! I hope they make a feature CGI film inspired by the events of this 2012 RE game ala RESIDENT EVIL: Degeneration. Although I value nostalgia, I am not video game hater. Change is always welcome in my book as long as it improves and enhances the actual gaming experience itself. The change mentioned by Masachika Kawata (Producer of RE: Opration Raccoon City) is its more faster, grittier, and more intense zombie shooter mechanics which only means one thing, dropping the "stop, then point-and-shoot, then walk" game mechanics where the Resident Evil video game series has become famous and and infamous for.

I think this will cater to a more wider audience, a fast-phased shooting fans which in turn may or may not disappoint classic Resident Evil fans. But if a Resident Evil game wants to go head-to-head with the today's demand for fast-phased multiplayer shooting action, then this is a timely change in game mechanics. Although I can sense that this maybe the start of Resident evil adapting a more western (US) style shooting mechanics, abandoning their "more realistic" - sometimes frustrating point-and-shoot gameplay, I think if all things fall in to its right place will make this game have average success in sales. With all these changes, the only thing that makes this a Resident Evil Game a Resident Evil Game is the settings and the characters. If ever future Resident Evil video games adapts such change in gameplay, it will probably turned out to be an average and very generic shooter just with a Resident Evil name, which probably no longer recognized by hardcore RE fans.

The game features single and cooperative (up to four players) campaign gameplay and multiplayer action which all the change has been intended for, fast-phased multiplayer shooter. There hasn't been any actual gameplay trailer as this post was made, and being a March 2012 release this could indicate two things. One, that Capcom is building the hype and excitement for this game; or Two, that Capcom is avoiding the possible wrath of the hardcore RE Fans on internet which might very well affect the sales of this game. Hopefully all this change would make this Resident Evil game and future releases to be a more tighter and enjoyable video game.
