Terex� Pegson Jawstock

CMS Cepcor™ complete the re-build of a Terex® Pegson 1100x650 HR jaw crusher including the supply and installation of a reconditioned jawstock.

CMS Cepcor™ crusher technicians safely removed the broken jawstock assembly and mainframe from the tracked chassis using our Scania Fassi truck mounted crane.

The crusher was then returned to our UK crusher service facility and stripped to component form, inspected and final scope of work authorised by the customer.

The crusher was subsequently re-built by CMS Cepcor™ crusher service technicians fitting a replacement reconditioned jawstock.

CMS Cepcor™ have been contracted to complete major repairs to a Goodwin Barsby 48"x36" single toggle jaw crusher operated by a UK Lafarge Tarmac quarry.

The jawstock assembly was safely removed from the mainframe by CMS Cepcor™ 'Goodwin Barsby Certified' crusher technicians and transported to our Coalville crusher service facility.

The jawstock assembly was then stripped to component form and inspected to original Goodwin Barsby manufacturing drawings.

The crusher will be re-built with a new 'Genuine' Goodwin Barsby UK manufactured eccentric shaft, labyrinths, end covers, locknuts and a complete set of new SKF bearings and sleeves.

Both the jawstock and mainframe bearing housings have been re-qualified to original dimensional tolerance and new toggle mechanism parts will also be fitted including toggle plate and toggle grooves.

The crusher will be re-installed and commissioned on-site by CMS Cepcor™ crusher service technicians.

CMS Cepcor™ supply a reconditioned Terex® Pegson 1000 Automax cone crusher held in stock to a UK granite quarry.

Following a major breakdown of their existing Terex® Pegson 1000 Automax and subsequent swift negotiations, a deal was agreed to supply a stock Terex® Pegson 1000 Automax cone crusher and take back the old crusher in part exchange. The stock crusher was subsequently loaded, despatched the same day and installed and commissioned on-site the next day by our crusher service technicians.

CMS Cepcor™ have been contracted to complete major repairs to a Terex® Pegson 1000 Automax cone crusher operated by a large French aggregates business.

CMS Cepcor™ crusher service technicians initially inspected the crusher on-site in France and established that the crusher required major repairs.

The crusher was subsequently returned to CMS Cepcor™ crusher service facility in the United Kingdom and stripped to component form for full dimensional inspection.

CMS Cepcor™ parts to be fitted include new bearings, bevel gear, bevel pinion, rotary seal ring, piston rings, countershaft, wedge ring, counterhsaft bearings, dumpy jacks, seals and gaskets will be installed.

The mainframe labyrinth grooves will be fully replaced with new, the eccentric, conehead and upper frame will also be refurbished in our UK manufacturing facility.

CMS Cepcor™ have installed a new custom designed Honor Seiki CNC vertical lathe to further increase our UK manufacturing capacity of precision machined crusher components.

The custom VL-160CM machine was installed and commissioned by Honor and DTS UK technicians in the CMS Cepcor UK technical centre, the purchase will further enhance our manufacturing capabilities of large and heavy precision machined components used in cone and gyratory crushers.

Manufactured by Honor Seiki Co. Ltd, the machine is from the heavy duty series and facilitates a maximum swing and turning diameter of 2000mm and a custom turning height of upto 1800mm.

CMS Cepcor™ complete the refurbishment of a Svedala 42x65 gyratory mainshaft assembly for an International leader in building materials based in Ireland.

The mainshaft assembly measures approximately 4378mm long and weighs 15,500 Kgs.

The refurbishment includes the manufacture and fitting of a new UK manufactured mainshaft sleeve.

CMS Cepcor™ have been contracted to complete the major re-build of a Metso Nordberg HP300 cone crusher operated by a UK Lafarge Tarmac quarry.

CMS Cepcor™ crusher service technicians removed the crusher from site using our Scania Fassi truck mounted crane and transported it to our Coalville crusher servive facility.

The crusher was stripped to component form for accurate inspection and report.

New CMS Cepcor™ upper head bushing, lower head bushing, head ball, inner eccentric bushing, socket liner, countershaft bushes, locking bolt, keys, gaskets, seals, gear and pinion will be installed during the crusher re-build.

Remedial repairs to the worn and damaged head will be completed in our own UK manufacturing facility including rebuilding the mantle seating face, repair to locking bolt thread and re-qualifying the head bores.

New premium manganese crusher liners will also be fitted prior to re-installation and commissioning by CMS Cepcor™ crusher service technicians on-site.

CMS Cepcor™ complete a full liner change on a Svedala 42x65 primary gyratory crusher operated by a Scottish idependant quarry operator.

The installation was safely led by Gordon Anderson, Engineering Support Manager at CMS Cepcor™

The partially ribbed mantle is manufactured in our premium M14 material and cast in a single piece weighing approximately 5,500 Kgs. The four rows of concave segments are cast in our specialist B9 alloy material to offer greater wear resistance.

The supply also includes CMS Cepcor™ UK manufactured burning ring, head nut, bespoke mainshaft sleeve, dowel pins and Korrobond 65 crusher backing.

CMS Cepcor™ have completed a liner installation on a Fuller 54x74 primary gyratory operated by Aggregate Industries in the UK over a weekend period to minimise downtime.

A full set of new CMS Cepcor™ premium manganese concave liners were installed, the lower segments manufactured in our premium M21 material and the intermediate and upper in our M14 material. The liners were backed using Korrobond crusher backing supplied by CMS Cepcor™

A team of 'FLSmidth certified' CMS Cepcor™ service technicians completed the work safely alongside site personnel, within the desired timeframe.

CMS Cepcor™ have installed a new Welding Alloys MultiSurfacer™ heavy duty column and boom with turntable welding machine to further increase the range of repair services offered in-house and reduce repair lead-times.

The machine that has been custom manufactured has been specified to accept components upto 3,000mm diameter and has a weight capacity of upto 25,000 Kgs.

It has been also been specified with an extra low profile, able to accept components upto 3070mm in the Y axis (above the table height) and has a 700mm diameter bore with deep pit constructed beneath (to allow for clearance of component shafts).

The above specification would typically allow the machine to comfortably work on a Allis-Chalmers 42x65 gyratory crusher mainshaft assembly.

For special applications the machine can be configured to accept larger components, for example top shells for primary gyratory crushers.

The welding turntable has been installed in our Coalville crusher repair facility that has sufficient overhead craneage and will improve leadtimes during repairs that will ultimatley reduce customers downtime.

Headquarters Expansion

The new development of our facilities in Coalville is planned to commence soon and to be completed in Q1 of 2015.

CMS Cepcor™ have ordered a new Correanayak Norma 25 CNC bed type milling machine to further increase our UK manufacturing capacity for precision machined crusher spare parts and crusher repairs.

The new machine will be installed at our Coalville technical centre in the Q2 of 2014 and continues to demonstrate our commitment to re-investment and UK manufacturing.

Following the success of our existing Correanayak NORMA 45 CNC milling machine commissioned in January 2013, the new NORMA 25 machine will be used to increase our capacity for machining medium to large work pieces.

The machine can be used for heavy duty roughing operations and also for highly accurate finish machining of complex components which makes it incredibly versatile, the new machine has a table size of 2800mm x 1000mm with a 6,500kg capacity and will be fitted with a fully automatic indexing universal milling head.

CMS Cepcor™ have completed urgent crusher repairs to a Symons Nordberg 4¼' standard cone crusher operated by an Aggregate Industries quarry in the United Kingdom.

Following report of a crusher breakdown last week, CMS Cepcor™ crusher service technicians and engineers stripped the crusher on-site using our Scania truck mounted crane and returned the major components to our Coalville crusher service facility for inspection and repair over the weekend.

New CMS Cepcor™ replacement spare parts were fitted included a new head and shaft assembly, eccentric assembly, adjustment cap assembly, floating feed cone assembly, socket assembly and new managnese crusher liners and associated wear parts.

CMS Cepcor™ have completed breakdown repairs to a Terex® Pegson 1000 Automax cone crusher operated by Cemex UK Materials.

During a scheduled crusher liner change by CMS Cepcor™ crusher technicians identified a potential major component failure. Identification of the cracked bearing cage prior to full failure has considerably reduced potential downtime and repair costs associated with full component failure and common subsequent damaged to mating components.

The crusher was immediately returned to the CMS Cepcor™ crusher repair facility using our own truck mounted crane that had been contracted to complete the original liner change.

The crusher was stripped, inspected and an engineers written report was generated to agree the final scope of work with the customer.

CMS Cepcor™ have completed the re-build of a Sandvik H4800 Hydrocone® crusher bottom shell for a European aggregate processing business.

The bottom shell was shipped back to our crusher repair facility in the UK, shot blasted, crack tested and inspected by CMS Cepcor™ quality engineers.

The bottom shell was restored to factory tolerance in our UK manufacturing facility including re-qualification of machined mating faces, tapers and bores.

In addition a new set of wear plates and liners have been fitted by CMS Cepcor™ crusher technicians in our Coalville crusher re-build facility.

CMS Cepcor™ have completed the re-build of a Nordberg 54x80 gyratory crusher countershaft assembly for Europe's largest coastal quarry.

The assembly was stripped to component form by CMS Cepcor™ crusher technicians and dimensionally inspected to establish scope of work.

The countershaft housing bearing bores were subsequently re-qualified to original factory tolerances by CMS Cepcor™ precision services.

During the re-assembly by our crusher technicians new CMS Cepcor™ replacement countershaft, countershaft oil flinger, pinion retaining plate, radial seals and pinion keys were fitted along with new SKF spherical roller bearings.

CMS Cepcor™ demonstrate why we are the leading crusher service provider during recent repairs to a Sandvik H4800 Hydrocone and a Metso HP500 cone crusher.

CMS Cepcor™ were contracted by a new aggregate customer operating a Sandvik H4800 Hydrocone to complete an urgent un-scheduled crusher re-line. On inspection the head centre was found to be heavily worn after the incumbent suppliers crusher liners had failed prematurely. To meet production demands the head centre was immediatley pre-machined, built up with weld and re-machined in our UK manufacturing facility over the weekend. The head centre was subsequently fitted with a new premium manganese mantle on Sunday morning by CMS Cepcor™ crusher technicians, re-installed and the crusher commissioned on Monday morning.

In the meantime a substantial local granite quarry contacted CMS Cepcor™ using our out of hours customer support line early on Saturday morning reporting a breakdown situation. The Metso HP500 head was immedialtey collected and returned to our Coalville crusher repair facility. Following inspections and remedial work over the weekend, new upper head bushings, lower head bushings and head ball were fitted by CMS Cepcor™ crusher technicians.

CMS Cepcor™ crusher services can greatly reduce customer downtime, furthermore we also guarantee that all repairs are completed in consideration of original factory tolerance.

The new CMS Cepcor™ technical centre has been formally commissioned following the presentation of The Queens Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2012 and is now in full manufacturing production.

The Queens Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2012 was presented by Lady Gretton, as Lord-Lieutenant, the official representative of Her Majesty The Queen for the County and City of Leicester to Matthew Weare, Managing Director of CMS Cepcor on Thursday 14th March 2013.

The technical centre represents capital investment of over £3 million in new UK manufacturing, testing, research and development facilities.

The new high capacity CNC turning section includes newly installed Doosan 700XLM, 400XLB and 400XL turning centres with driven tooling facilitating the precision manufacture of components upto 900mm Ø and 5050mm in length, weighing up to 8,900Kgs between centres.

Efficiency of set up and handling of large components has been improved following the installation of new Demag® overhead travelling craneage providing 25 tonne lifting capacity.

The CNC milling and horizontal boring section has also benefited from the installation of a new high capacity Doosan Mynx 7500 and new Correanayak Norma 45 bed mill fitted with fully automatic indexing universal milling head and offers a bed Size 4800mm long x 1000mm wide allowing a maximum component height 1500mm and 10,000Kgs weight capacity.

Further investment the latest FaroArm Edge co-ordinate measuring technology alongside our existing FaroArm Platinum enables the efficient inspection of complex components to exacting tolerance.

Now exporting to over 100 countries from our Leicestershire headquarters with sales turnover set to exceed £24 Million GBP in the current financial year, a new record turnover for the business.

Job description

Knowledge and experience of servicing, maintaining and repairing modern cone crushers manufactured by Metso, Terex® Pegson or Sandvik™ is essential.

Based from our Coalville, crusher repair facility and reporting to the service team leader, you will be required to work on crushers in our own crusher repair facility and on customers sites throughout the UK and Europe to a high standard of mechanical engineering and safety.

On-site service work will involve fault finding and the ability to write accurate reports is required.

Previous experience on modern cone crushers is essential and knowledge of jaw crushers is desirable but not essential as further training will be provided.

Basic working hours are 40 hours per week although flexible working hours would be required with scheduled overtime and some weekend and evening work required to ensure crusher downtime is kept to a minimum.

Industry leading rates paid depending on experience.

CMS Cepcor™ have completed major repairs to a Allis-Chalmers 36x55 gyratory crusher operated by a Hanson Aggregate granite quarry in the United Kingdom.

The work follows recent repairs completed to another 36x55 Gyratory crusher operated by another Hanson quarry in the UK.

CMS Cepcor™ crusher technicians led by our Engineering support manager safely dismantled the crusher on-site.

The mainshaft assembly was delivered to our UK manufacturing facility where remedial machining works were completed by CMS Cepcor™ Precision Services to ensure the 10 tonne assembly met the desired dimensional tolerance.

A new premium manganese mantle liner was fitted to the mainshaft assembly using Korrobond 65 crusher backing by our crusher technicians.

New CMS Cepcor™ UK manufactured replacement parts, including mainshaft sleeve, mainshaft nut, seal ring and dust seal retaining ring were also fitted.

The repairs, rebuild and re-commissioning were completed by CMS Cepcor™ crusher technicians within the desired timescale whilst complying with required health and safety standards.

Baguley Precision Engineers Limited the wholly owned UK manufacturing subsidiary business of CMS Cepcor™ has been transferred into our Precision Services division with immediate effect.

The decision was taken to transfer the Baguley personnel into the precision services division and relocate all machining services from Burton-on-Trent to our new technical centre based in Coalville to improve manufacturing efficiency.

The new technical centre represents a substantial investment in new premises and CNC manufacturing capability to further enhance our manufacturing, inspection and repair facilities.

We are also pleased to confirm that all skilled engineering staff have been retained and further recruitment of skilled CNC operator/programmers is underway.

Our business expansion will hopefully provide further opportunities for our supply partners.

CMS Cepcor™ have been contracted to complete major repairs to a Terex® Pegson Metrotrak jaw crusher operated by local groundworks, drainage, demolition and recycling business.

The Terex® Pegson 900x600 base jaw crusher chamber was removed from the tracked chassis by CMS Cepcor™ crusher technicians in our crusher rebuild facility based in Coalville.

The chamber was stripped to component form with each part inspected for wear and damage.

The crusher mainframe and jawstock bearing bores will be re-qualified to original factory specification in our UK manufacturing facility.

The crusher will be rebuilt by CMS Cepcor™ crusher technicians fitting new UK manufactured eccentric shaft, bearing spacers and full set of SKF spherical roller bearings and sleeves.

Svedala 36x55 Gyratory

CMS Cepcor™ have completed the rebuild and manganese liner change on a Svedala 36x55 gyratory operated by a sandstone/gritstone quarry based in the United Kingdom.

CMS Cepcor™ crusher technicians led by our Engineering support manager stripped the crusher on-site.

The topshell was subsequently returned to our crusher repair centre, where a second team of crusher technicians removed the old concave liners. The topshell was shot blast and a set of new premium concave liners were fitted over the weekend using Korrobond 65 crusher backing compound.

The mainshaft assembly was delivered to our UK manufacturing facility where remedial machining works were completed to ensure the assembly met the desired dimensional tolerance.

A new premium manganese mantle liner was fitted to the mainshaft assembly along with new CMS Cepcor™ UK manufactured replacement parts, including mainshaft sleeve, dust seal ring and dust seal retaining ring.

The repairs, rebuild and re-commissioning were completed by CMS Cepcor™ crusher technicians within the desired timescale whilst complying with required health and safety standards.

The new framework agreement follows an original supply contract that was awarded after extensive trials of CMS Cepcor™ premium manganese crusher liners and wear parts over a number of years; independently proving the life costs benefits of CMS Cepcor™ crusher parts.

Particular success was achieved on a Nordberg 60x102 primary gyratory crusher operated at one of the largest granite production sites in Europe using CMS Cepcor™ premium manganese crusher liners. The concave segments fitted on Rows 1 & 2 were supplied in our premium grade M21 material extending the wear life of the segments by approximately 50% (equating to several million tonnes) over the previous supplier.

CMS Cepcor™ have completed the full rebuild of a used Svedala H4000 Hydrocone® bottom shell under our component rebuild program for a mid-tier gold mining company whose principal operating properties are based in West Africa.

The bottom shell was shipped back to our crusher repair facility in the UK, shot blasted, crack tested and inspected by our quality engineers.

The bottom shell was restored to factory tolerance in our UK machine shop including restoration of machined mating faces, tapers and bores.

All repairs are completed considering original factory tolerance: we specifically avoid non-standard repairs to ensure future spare parts compatability.

The assembly was then rebuilt by our crusher technicians in our crusher repair facility fitting new CMS Cepcor compatible parts including bottom shell bushing, bottom wear plates and arm liners.

CMS Cepcor crusher technicians stripped the single toggle jaw crusher to component form in our Coalville crusher repair facility, with each part inspected by our quality engineers.

The jawstock bearing bores will be re-qualified to original factory tolerance in our UK machining facility.

The crusher will be re-built by our crusher technicians using new SKF spherical roller bearings and new eccentric shaft.

CMS Cepcor taken an order to supply premium replacement manganese crusher liners to suit a Nordberg 60x102 gyratory crusher operated by the largest granite production site in europe.

CMS Cepcor have ordered a new Correanayak Norma 45 CNC bed type milling machine to further increase our UK manufacturing capacity for precision machined crusher spare parts and crusher repairs.

The new machine will be installed at our Coalville technical centre in the quarter three of 2012 and continues to demonstrate our commitment to re-investment and UK manufacturing.

“The Correanayak NORMA CNC milling machine will be used for machining medium to large work pieces, the machine can be used for heavy duty roughing operations and also for highly accurate finish machining of complex components which makes it incredibly versatile, the new machine has a table size of 4800mm x 1000mm with a 10,000kg capacity and will be fitted with a fully automatic indexing universal milling head” Chris Sydenham – Technical Director.

Re-built to factory tolerance by CMS Cepcor

CMS Cepcor have completed scheduled annual preventative maintenance and refurbishment of a three stage Kue Ken crushing plant operated by a global leader in metal technology based in the United Kingdom.

The primary Kue Ken double toggle crusher was de-commissioned by our crusher engineers and returned to our crusher workshops. The crusher was stripped to component form and inspected to manufacturing tolerance.

The swing jaw hinge pin and mainframe bores were restored to manufacturing tolerance in our UK machine shop and the crusher re-built.

A factory reconditioned and test run Kue Ken 54 double toggle jaw crusher was supplied and installed to replace the secondary Kue Ken double toggle crusher to improve the plant efficiency and reduce the burden on the tertiary crusher.

CMS Cepcor also designed and manufactured a replacement heavy duty swing jaw (jawstock) to suit the tertiary Kue Ken 35 double toggle following the failuire of several original standard design original castings.

The re-build of the gyratory crusher was led by Gordon Anderson, Engineering Support Manager who recently joined CMS Cepcor.

The jawstock and mainframe bearing bores were restored to original factory tolerance in our UK machine shop.

Pegson Autocone Rebuild

CMS Cepcor have completed urgent breakdown repairs to a Pegson 900 Series 2 Autocone operated by a leading UK supplier of cement, readymix concrete, mortars, screeds, aggregates, asphalts, concrete block paving, SUDS, roof tiles and concrete blocks.

The crusher was removed from site by CMS Cepcor crusher engineers and stripped to component form overnight to establish final scope work required.

Each component along with each bearing journal and bearing housing (bore) was inspected to manufactruing tolerance using calibrated measuring equipment.

All bearing journals and bores were found to be within acceptable tolerance and the crusher was re-built using a full set of new stock bearings, UK manufactured countershaft, seals and piston rings in our crusher workshops.

The cone crusher was loaded back onto crane lorry within two days of collection from site and subsequently re-commissioned on site within the agreed timescale.

CMS Cepcor is widely accepted as the aftermarket specialist for the support of Pegson manufactured cone crushers.

CMS Cepcor have manufactured and supplied a new pinion shaft housing assembly to suit a Kue Ken CT1300 cone crusher operated by Ghanian hard rock quarry.

The existing worn and damaged assembly was aifreighted back to our UK crusher workshops for inspection and report. The assembly was stripped to component form by our crusher engineers and inspected to manufacturing drawings.

The supply consisted of new UK cast and machined pinion shaft housing, pinion shaft, safety arm assembly, gaskets, covers and seals along with the supply of new gear and pinion.

The crusher drive pulley was refurbished in our UK machine shop.

CMS Cepcor crusher engineers will then re-fit and assembly and commission the crusher on site.

Pegson Automax repair

CMS Cepcor have completed urgent repairs to a Pegson 900 Automax cone crusher operated by the UK’s largest supplier of aggregates to the construction industry.

The repairs formed part of scheduled inspection and maintenance by the quarry. CMS Cepcor crusher engineers removed the conehead and countershaft assembly from the crusher and returned to our Coalville crusher workshops.

The countershaft housing that had been reported damaged underwent non destructive crack testing and was found to be beyond economical repair.

A CMS Cepcor fully refurbished countershaft housing was supplied from stock to minimise downtime and repair cost. A new UK manufactured assembly was also held in stock.

The worn conehead deflector skirt was machined away in our UK machine shop and a new serrated ring welded and machined accordingly.

The repair were completed with the scheduled downtime and the crusher re-commissioned by CMS Cepcor engineers on site.

CMS Cepcor have completed urgent breakdown repairs to a Svedala H2000 Hydrocone topshell for the UK’s largest supplier of aggregates to the construction industry.

The topshell was safely removed from site by CMS Cepcor crusher engineers and transported to our crusher workshops for dimensional inspection and non-destructive crack testing.

The topshell was then restored to factory dimensional tolerance in our UK machine shop including re-qualifying the concave seat, remedial repairs to worn spider and machining mating face.
