It has a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi. Call quality is great.
Bad: I don't dig the LG Marquee's sluggish performance and oddball Mobile ID customization feature.
Bottom Line: The LG Marquee's slim design and jam-packed feature set make it Boost Mobile's flagship phone. But its high price (even without a contract) and slow processor will make it a tough sell. [Read more]

Whether it's for gaming or movies, the Sony HMZ-T1 is one of the best 3D displays on the market with zero crosstalk. Based on OLED technology, the headset is capable of deep, deep black levels, and whether it's 2D or 3D, all images have surprising amounts of depth.
Bad: The headset is heavy and becomes quite uncomfortable with extended use. It's not possible to get the whole screen in focus at once, resulting in blurring at the edges. The effects of its lower resolution are apparent: detail levels aren't up there with an equivalently priced television, and pixel structure is visible.
Bottom Line: While the Sony HMZ-T1 personal headset is capable of some of the best 3D effects I've ever seen, it's uncomfortable to wear for extended periods and images suffer from blurriness. [Read more]

The device immediately works as an Internet source when connected to a non-Wi-Fi computer.
Bad: The Clear Spot Voyager doesn't support 3G, Wireless-N, text messaging, and doesn't have a clear battery life gauge. The mobile hot spot doesn't go into sleep mode, so the battery runs down relatively fast even when there are no connected clients.
Bottom Line: Supercompact, affordable, and with fast performance, the Clear Spot Voyager would be a great mobile hot-spot device for those who live and travel within Clear's 4G coverage. [Read more]

It's also priced well above similar consumer laptops. No HDMI, no USB 3.0.
Bottom Line: The Lenovo ThinkPad T420 is as straight-up and unassuming as a business laptop can be on the surface, souped up with faster performance, long battery life, and a flexible selection of ports under the hood. [Read more]

Its continuously variable transmission helps fuel economy and includes six virtual shift points. Bluetooth audio streaming shows full track data on the car's radio display.
Bad: Browsing a music library using the radio is not an intuitive process. There is no premium audio system available for the Impreza.
Bottom Line: With all-wheel drive a rare find in the 2012 Subaru Impreza's segment, the car makes a good showing, but the cabin electronics are not cutting-edge. [Read more]

TiVo continues to offer a best-in-class DVR experience, plus a top-notch suite of streaming-video services, including Netflix and Hulu Plus.
Bad: Cable cutters and satellite subscribers will be disappointed that the Elite works with digital cable and Verizon Fios only. And even if TiVo does work with your cable provider, you won't be able to access any pay-per-view or VOD content. The Elite is $500 plus $500 for lifetime service or $19.99 a month, which is much more than the alternatives. And there's still no built-in Wi-Fi.
Bottom Line: The TiVo Premiere Elite might be a luxury, but it's definitely a luxury worth paying for. [Read more]

It automatically downloads the phone book off a paired phone, enabling voice dialing of any stored contact. The noise- and echo-reducing microphone ensures clear calls.
Bad: Speaker quality is passably good, but could stand a bit of improvement.
Bottom Line: The Parrot Minikit+ makes good use of its voice controls and excellent microphone to deliver clear calls and a safer driving experience. [Read more]

With fast data speeds and a great typing experience, the phone also serves up pleasing call quality over Verizon's network.
Bad: By bartering its powerful components and swift data radio for a chassis of considerable size and heft, the Droid 4 proves that life is all about making trade-offs. It lacks the latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, and its LCD screen lacks the oomph of AMOLED.
Bottom Line: Melding an excellent keyboard, swift LTE data, and a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor into one Android device, the Motorola Droid 4 is long overdue. Fans of the first Motorola Droid will find plenty to smile about here, but those who aren't married to a QWERTY may not enjoy carrying around such a massive phone. [Read more]

You can't change the phone's text style or size, and the address book is relatively small.
Bottom Line: The comfortable Samsung SPH-M370 is a basic flip phone that does what it says, unadorned and unembellished, and at the right price. [Read more]

Its built-in Wi-Fi lets you back up photos and movies to your PC, send them to your smartphone or Panasonic AV device, and upload to sharing sites.
Bad: The FX90's convoluted Wi-Fi setup made me want to smash the camera to bits. For its price, its photo quality is disappointing.
Bottom Line: While adding Wi-Fi to a point-and-shoot is a solid way to compete with smartphones, Panasonic fumbles it a bit with Lumix DMC-FX90. [Read more]
