Uniforms force us to take on the identity and agenda of whomever forced us to wear them. We hear about “soldiers” dying in battle. That depersonalizes them. These soldiers are husbands, fathers, brothers, and sons. They leave behind widows, orphans and bereaved families.

There’s a new and dire threat to privacy that parents of school children need to be aware of and be prepared to fight against.

Frank Landymore of Futurism.com reports, in a May 18 article, on a sinister plan hatched by the University of Washington to film pre-school children during class time. If this is going on in Washington, you have to believe it’s going on, at least in the planning stages if not already happening, across the 50 states.

The article reports that a planned University of Washington study would’ve had preschool teachers wear cameras to “record first-person footage of everything in the classroom,” including the children they were instructing, and use that footage to train AI models.

Remember, those behind the global technocracy movement believe the only value a human being will hold in the new society they are trying to create, is the data sets they produce. This was stated in the wide open a few years ago by World Economic Forum adviser Yuval Noah Harari. Without your personal data to be stolen, manipulated, and sold for profit, you are nothing to them but a useless eater.

Part of the plan is to create a “digital twin” of every person on earth as an anchor to the new digital control grid.

So why wouldn’t the Epstein class of entitled billionaire elites who harbor perverted, twisted views of children, want a daily video record of everything your child does in school? Every word uttered. Every facial expression. Every action and reaction. Year over year for comparison’s sake. Then they can use this data to create algorithms that predict everything your child will grow up to become before he or she is 10 or 12 years old?

Harari, an Israeli historian and chief adviser to the WEF, has said that if he had access to artificial intelligence when he was younger, he believes he would have discovered he was a homosexual at age 11 or 12 instead of at 17. In fact, a Newsweek article from September 8, 2017, made the case that AI can predict “with startling accuracy” whether a person is gay or straight.

But this particular story, in the case of Washington State, has a positive outcome. It exemplifies the kind of parental awareness and bold activism that is needed to shut down the illegitimate use of AI technology in the classroom.

If a parent was uncomfortable with all that, they had to manually opt-out — meaning that unless the researchers were given a formal no, a parent’s child would’ve been automatically opted into the experiment.

“With your permission, your child’s lead teacher may wear a small teacher-worn camera that captures the teacher’s approximate first-person perspective, and/or we may place a fixed video camera in the classroom,” reads a document given to parents and obtained by 404 Media in a new investigative piece. “These videos simply capture the normal interactions between teachers and children during regular classroom activities.”

The parents did a little more than opt out, however. They revolted, and the backlash was so heated that the University of Washington called off the experiment entirely, according to 404.

The documents given to parents sometimes used nebulous language and left key questions open-ended. They stated that the footage would’ve been used to “develop and evaluate AI models for assessing classroom interaction quality,” and that the “video data may be processed using cloud-based AI services.” But they didn’t specify what AI models or what AI companies would be involved.

Thorny questions abounded. What about the parent of a child who didn’t give consent? Would only they be blurred out in the footage? How would that realistically work? The documents only said the researchers would censor faces and names “whenever possible,” but that meant your child was still being filmed.

These looming uncertainties rattled parents.

“I am troubled by the idea of using my child’s likeness in unknown AI tools and how this could be abused,” one parent who chose to remain anonymous told 404.

“I was particularly concerned about families’ ability to give informed consent,” she added. “As a native English speaker, the vague language in the handout left me with a slew of questions. Many families in our school are migrants and non-native English speakers, but forms were not provided in any of their native languages.”

Experts in education were also raising eyebrows at the document’s language.

“Who may the data may be shared with? How long will it be maintained? Who is funding the research? Those are questions that I would want answers to, and the answers could exist,” Faith Boninger, co-director of the National Education Policy Center, told 404.

The University of Washington said it was putting the research on ice after parent backlash.

“Given the early responses from parents, we have terminated the study and are no longer seeking participation at any site,” a spokesperson told 404, noting that it’s “not unusual to terminate a study in the early stages as we receive feedback from community partners.”

The cancelled study marks the latest evolutionary stage of AI’s inroads into education. Companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Microsoft are pouring millions of dollars into teacher’s unions and providing training on how to use their AI tools. Universities are partnering with AI companies to give students free access to AI, in what essentially amounts to putting a rubber stamp on how students are already dependent on AI to write essays and complete assignments — or, in other words, cheating. Now, with that massive drive to inject AI into the classroom, there’s apparently a consequent demand to gather data to fuel the building of specialized models.

Its demise is also an example of how parents have been spearheading the mounting AI backlash. A planned AI-powered high school in New York was cancelled, for instance, after more moms and dads protested outside City Hall last month.

President Trump has on Tuesday while fielding questions from reporters repeated his line that Iran is ‘begging’ for a deal. “They’re begging to make a deal. I hope we don’t have to do the war, but we may have to give them another big hit. We may have to give them another big hit. You’ll know very soon.”

His threat to give them another “big hit” was coupled with the assertion that he was just one hour away from ordering new attacks on Iran Monday, but was asked by Gulf allies to given diplomacy just a little longer:

Also, tensions with nearby Gulf states are still soaring, and amid reports that drones have recently been launched from Iraqi territory – likely the work of Shia paramilitary organizations which are closely allied with Iran.

In a huge and unexpected announcement, amid stalled US-Iran peace talks – which have proven a failure and illusive thus far, NATO now says it could deploy military assets to forcibly reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Per breaking newswires Tuesday late morning:

President Trump has continuously chastised the NATO alliance for being largely bankrolled by Washington but at the same time fence-sitting when it comes to forming a coalition to patrol and reopen the vital energy transit waterway. NATO is discussing the possibility of helping ships pass through the blocked Strait of Hormuz if the waterway isn’t reopened by early July, according to a senior official in the military alliance.

The idea has support from several members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, but doesn’t yet have the necessary unanimous support, said a diplomat from a NATO country. Both officials spoke on the condition of anonymity. Leaders from NATO countries will meet in Ankara July 7-8.

But July feels very far away at this point, and anything could happen between now and then, as Washington continues to threaten renewed military action, and Iran says it remains on high alert.

For nearly half an hour, the soldier demonstrates different types of ammunition and how to assemble and disassemble the Kalashnikov using illustrated boards set up behind him on Haft-e Tir Square.

The authorities have set up military training booths across Tehran in recent days to teach the public the basics of weapons handling, as they seek to prepare Iranian society for the possibility of a return to fighting.

The city has been spared relentless strikes since the start of a ceasefire on April 8, which paused nearly 40 days of war with the United States and Israel, but fears remain that the fighting could restart at any moment.

“The response from people, from women and men, has been extraordinary. It is entirely voluntary,” said Guards soldier Nasser Sadeghi at the Haft-e Tir booth.

He added that the sessions which began over two weeks ago were preparing civilians from all walks of life for renewed fighting.

“The aim … is to promote the culture of martyrdom and avenging the blood of the leader,” he noted, referring to the late supreme leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the surprise US-Israeli strikes that began the war on February 28.

So far, the training only extends to using assault rifles, but Sadeghi said “God willing, in the coming days, depending on what higher authorities deem appropriate, other weapons will also be brought in for training”.

Their audiences include men with little previous military training as well as chador-clad women, some with head and wrist bands of the Iranian flag.

Onlookers including children and teenagers could also be seen posing for photographs with unloaded rifles.

‘Rightful revenge’

During the ceasefire, Iran and the United States have held just a single round of direct talks, which failed to secure a peace deal, and since then the two sides have been swapping proposals on a lasting settlement without a breakthrough.

On Monday, US President Donald Trump said he was planning a major new assault on Iran for the next day, but held off at the request of Gulf allies pushing for continued negotiations.

In Tehran, where government supporters hold near-nightly gatherings featuring patriotic celebrations, the preparations for a return to war continued.

“God willing, we will be able to use it against enemy aggression if one day they have bad intentions towards this land,” said Fardin Abbasi, a 40-year-old government employee, after attending a short session on the use of Kalashnikovs.

Fatemeh Hossein-Kalantar, a 47-year-old housewife dressed in a black chador, said she attended the training out of a desire to avenge Khamenei.

“We bring our children and teenagers alongside us so they can see military training, and whenever our leader, dearer than our lives, gives the command, we will all come to the field,” she told AFP.

She said the fighting should continue “until we take our rightful revenge for the blood of our dear leader.”

Nearby to the training booths, other stations offered tea, psychological counselling services and medical support, while loudspeakers broadcast speeches, chants, and eulogies for slain military commanders.

‘Our duty’

Videos circulating online in recent days have shown rows of women in black chadors assembling and dismantling rifles during similar training sessions.

Iranian state television has embraced the effort, even inviting a Guards member on air to teach a television host how to aim and fire an assault rifle.

In a widely circulated video, the host fires the weapon while inside the TV studio.

Back at Haft-e Tir Square, Mahnaz, a 39-year-old mother of three, said learning to use guns had become necessary under the current circumstances.

“In my opinion, in these circumstances that America has created for us, where they do not spare women, children, young or old, it is our human duty to at least learn shooting and learn how to work with weapons,” she told AFP.

“So that, if necessary, we can easily use them,” she added.

Donald Trump says he has called off a planned attack on Iran at the behest of Gulf states so talks could continue.

In a post to his Truth Social platform, the US president claimed that the leaders of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia had approached Washington because of the chance of reaching a deal that would be “very acceptable” to the US, and preclude Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

In the same post, Trump said he has informed his military leaders “to be prepared to go forward with a full, large scale assault of Iran, on a moment’s notice, in the event that an acceptable Deal is not reached”.

But while the president has regularly used social media to threaten Tehran, and to claim that a peace deal is within reach, there has been no sign of an immediate breakthrough in the stalled negotiations to end the war.

A ceasefire has paused most violence after six weeks of US-Israeli airstrikes and Iranian retaliation, but there has been little progress since Trump said the ceasefire was “on life support”, with some Israeli media reports suggesting a resumption of hostilities is imminent.

The US president said he had instructed military leaders that “we will NOT be doing the scheduled attack of Iran tomorrow, but have further instructed them to be prepared to go forward with a full, large scale assault of Iran, on a moment’s notice”.

The announcement came as Iran’s foreign military spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei, claimed Pakistan has shared Tehran’s latest proposal with the US.

Israeli media reports say Hezbollah’s increasingly advanced drone operations have paralyzed up to 80 percent of the Israeli military’s planned assaults in southern Lebanon.

Israel’s Kan News agency reported on Wednesday that the regime’s military estimates Hezbollah’s explosive drones are severely limiting operational freedom inside the occupied areas of southern Lebanon.

According to the report, the military has been forced to postpone many of its troop movements and offensive operations until nighttime, or cancel them altogether, to avoid detection by Hezbollah drones during daylight hours.

Israeli military officials acknowledged that the resistance movement’s drones have also contributed to mounting casualties among occupation forces operating in the area.

Kan reported that the Israeli military is suffering from shortages of anti-drone equipment, while Hezbollah has approximately 100 drone operators deployed across southern Lebanon.

It added that the regime’s counter-drone systems are currently distributed to only a limited number of forces within each military company.

The latest assessment comes just days after Israeli officials publicly acknowledged that Hezbollah’s rapidly evolving drone capabilities had caught the regime’s military off guard.

Israeli military officials and analysts admitted that Hezbollah has been deploying hard-to-detect fibre-optic drones capable of bypassing conventional jamming and electronic warfare systems.

The low-cost drones reportedly use ultra-thin optical fibre cables instead of radio signals, allowing them to evade interception and maintain secure communication with their operators.

Experts say the drones have almost no radar signature because they contain minimal metal components and rely on optical fibre cables rather than wireless transmissions.

This technology allows the drones to evade Israeli electronic warfare systems and bypass traditional jamming methods used by the Israeli military.

According to Gayil Talshir, a political scientist at the Hebrew University of al-Quds, Israeli troops were “sitting ducks” inside Lebanon while facing mounting resistance attacks.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu described Hezbollah’s drone capabilities as a “major threat” and called on the military to develop urgent countermeasures.

In response to Israel’s continued violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon, Hezbollah has launched around 230 projectiles and more than 100 explosive drones at the regime’s forces since April.

A former BBC News boss says trans activist colleagues drove her out of her job. The Mail has more.

Fran Unsworth who was the Corporation’s Director of News and Current Affairs from 2018 to 2022 said the news division became “increasingly unmanageable” during her tenure because of a pressure to adopt what she called a “mono-perspective” on trans issues.

She said: “I would actually say it drove me out, just dealing with the progressive editorial issues and the bullying around them all. It was incredibly difficult.”

The former BBC executive delivered her criticisms in an interview with her former colleague Rob Burley which was published by the website UnHerd yesterday (Saturday).

Her comments will compound the worst fears of viewers who believe that the BBC has embraced a radical gender ideology which is out of step with mainstream public opinion.

Ms Unsworth, 68, said that BBC managers had to accept responsibility for an environment at the Corporation where radical views on trans and identity issues were normalised.

BBC news staff felt obliged to adopt a “kind” approach to the trans issues and trans people even at the expense of their own journalistic integrity.

She said: “There was a sea in which we all swam… an atmosphere. We need to be kind to transitioning people. It’s a social phenomenon. And I think this ‘be kind’ thing was at the heart of it.”

Asked if she thought that atmosphere had been a problem journalistically, she said: “I do, yes. I do.”

Ms Unsworth said news staff who sought to challenge this prevailing consensus came under an “awful lot of pressure” from colleagues in news, entertainment and drama who had embraced the “mono perspective” on trans issues. …

She said the BBC’s problems at the time had reflected the “progressive madness” engulfing other institutions.

She said: “This wasn’t something that just affected the BBC…The world went mad, and the BBC, because it is part of the world, went a bit mad with it. This was going on in every institution in society; there was a kind of national bullying going on.”

If you have wondered why boatloads of fundamentalist Muslims are being en masse migrated into the West, it is because they are constructing an army to destroy Christianity. This is also why Soros bought so many district attorneys and told them to no longer prosecute any criminals from the darker races, or other cultures, in order to foment a state of fear… uncertainty… and confusion on Main Street USA and any other street everywhere else.

If you have wondered how conditions came to such a pass in these times, how the minds of college students got shaped into such monstrous perspectives, you will learn all you need to know about that here. You’ve heard me mention Foucault and Derrida, but perhaps not Deleuze. When you want to regiment human thinking into fixed cages, it requires a system with stages of progression where you don’t know what was going on at the beginning, and you don’t know how you got to where you got to afterward, OR… how to go anywhere after that.

The one thing that temporal structure will never teach, and which they go to great lengths to suppress, is to think for yourself. You are not given the tools and told to use them. That might prove dangerous to The State. You are told that the tools can and cannot do certain things, and then they tell you it is in your best interest to use them a certain way, and… if you use them for purposes not approved by those who told you how and what to think, you will meet with censure, resistance, and then suppression.

You’re pretty much going to run into that at any time once the structures of governance harden and become fixed. Would you like to see the kinds of crazy that are developing in the post-COVID world of the cage-shaped mind? Here is notorious fruit bat Taylor Lorenz presenting that part of the brave new world she was somehow guided to by the Creeper-shades that lead her through the dancing veils in her head.

It is an example of the expanding insanity that is the new normal, and which is considered normal because all the people around them are doing and saying the same things. The cabals who are pushing DEI have no interest in the well-being of the less fortunate among us. This is a blind that is designed to facilitate shooting the thinking classes from behind, as if they were ducks going by overhead.

They program certain members of the small-minded and cage-educated and turn them into Max Headroom’s for an entire generation of the lockstep lemmings they are guiding off a cliff that is presently under construction. Some might call it The Future, and some might call it a future exit. What it is… is a chute with a moving floor that runs directly into a recycling plant.

Now, there is a chorus… a large chorus of life forms who have been separated from their humanity and capacity for critical thinking and… although not very bright, and incapable of singing on key, or understanding the meaning of what they are singing, they have been programmed into violent reactors that respond to chaos-necessity in any direction they are pointed in.

Some locations, like Toronto, San Francisco, most of New England, and the Left Coast are filled with aimless souls who were last seen as extras in the film made from Cormac McCarthy’s The Road. They received very little useful instruction from their parental units early on, which included basic toilet training and the actual distinction between asses and elbows.

After turning their own native location into a post-modern version of a Sub-Saharan shithole, they have now migrated into areas where sane people live, and… problems with rational interaction have ensued.

I traveled around through the countryside, so to speak, in this brief journey today. Hopefully you can see that… at certain times… The World goes mad, and everyone is somewhat affected, even if only due to seeing it happen. Some lose it entirely, and some are favored by guidance through the general torments of that time of transition. Then there are all the stages between. If you just rely on The Indwelling, you WILL receive guidance and assistance.

My point is that we have only been in the preliminary run-up until now. Evil is about to bring out the big guns, and get stymied at every turn because what we call Evil is no match for the good that is the basic nature of The Divine, and which restores and maintains order, and which permits disorder for The Purpose of Demonstration. Today is first day of the World Health Organization’s 79th annual World Health Assembly, where delegates come together to set policies and priorities for global health.

Essentially, it’s a week-long exercise in saying, as loud and long possible, “We’re really important.”

And thank goodness it came along when it did, because…wow.

The hantavirus outbreak is tearing through the world at the unstoppably terrifying rate of five whole deaths every two months.

That’s about 30 deaths in a year or about  0.25% of the number of people who’ll died from falling down stairs.

In Africa, the Ebola virus went from zero to “emergency” in no time at all, and the African CDC  had no choice but to go into panic mode.

A new strain of Ebola virus has been declared an international public health emergency by the World Health Organisation.

These twin outbreaks, combined with a “growing anti-vaccine movement”, and funding cuts to research   show the world is “not ready for the next pandemic”, according to Al Jazeera.

And – of course – climate change might mean more hantavirus outbreaks could happen!

And “Experts” are now saying the world is becoming more vulnerable to these infectious disease outbreaks.

Be afraid – be very afraid!

And, oh yes –    with all this chaos out there…maybe this would be a good time to finally start ratifying that Pandemic Treaty, what do you think guys?

It’s sort of like last year, when the weeks leading up the 78th Assembly saw the world afflicted with fresh rushes of monkeypox cases, along with outbreaks of measles, cholera, anthrax and polio.

Which may or may not have helped them secure a 30% budget increase for 2026, not to mention hundreds of millions of dollars in extra funding pledges.

You have to say, if nothing else,  “panic mode” is going to secure a lot of bucks.

Cash the WHO might “need”, given the United States officially pulled out of the organization back in January.

This plays into the multipolarity narrative.

On the one side, you’ll have the “sensible” WHO countries, working together and being nice and preventing diseases. Then, on the other, you’ll have the silly backwards MAGA US, being individual and selfish and backwards.

OR

On the one side, you’ll have the tyrannical collectivist WHO, enforcing conformity and stifling competition and stepping on freedoms. Then, on the other, you’ll have the rugged, lone-wolf US taking care of business.

Your side determines your view. Pick one. It won’t make much difference in the end.

If the Donald does not wish to bring down upon himself the ignominy of being the first US president to be impeached, convicted and removed from the White House by the US Marshals, he damn well better start reading the Iranian settlement proposals.

Even if he doesn’t like the first sentence, as he boasted.

I looked at it, and I don’t like the first sentence. I just throw it away.

That’s because he doesn’t have “all the time in the world” to find an off-ramp from his Iranian War disaster, as he claims. In fact, the dual blockade he has triggered in the Persian Gulf is fast draining the world’s working stockpiles of a broad array of commodities. About 30 million BOE/day (barrels of oil equivalent) is ordinarily generated inside the Persian Gulf and exported to the global economy, including petroleum in all its product variants, LNG, LPGs, sulfur, helium, aluminum and more.

In the case of petroleum products alone, the stockpile drain is now turning into a torrent, as we reach the 76th day in which normal Persian Gulf export volumes have been reduced by 90% or more. And although the current inventory balances look big because stockpiles are measured in the billions of barrels, the picture is deteriorating far faster than its appears to be on the surface.

In the first place at the onset of Bibi & Trumpy’s foolish war on Iran, global commercial stocks of crude and products combined were unusually high at about 8.5 billion barrels, owing to a modest surplus of production versus consumption during the last two years.

However, it should also be noted that the true recent baseline for global commercial petroleum stocks is a fair amount lower or about +/- 8 billion barrels per the graph above. So there was an extraordinary cushion of about 500 million barrels at the start of the war, but that’s already long gone.

Moreover, the aberrantly high levels shown for Q1 2020 (9 billion barrels +) doesn’t really provide any useful benchmark because that was strictly due to pandemic-based worldwide shutdowns of normal economic activity in consumption sectors ranging from cancelled global airline flights, to reduced trucking and rail mileage, to domestic travel and commuter-based curtailment of gasoline use.

Secondly, when you look at the normal global commercial stocks of about 8.0 billion barrels from the bottom up, it quickly becomes apparent that most of these barrels are spoken for and are not available as inventory cushion to prolong the Donald’s apparent waiting game. For instance, there is normally about 1.0 billion barrels in transit on the blue water in tankers, but those barrels are not some kind of floating surplus; they are actually the product of physics and current shipping technology.

To wit, it takes between 20 and 40 days for most global waterborne transit to get to Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea or Rotterdam or the US Gulf coast from the Persian Gulf, among dozens of other in-take points. Over any reasonable period of time, the the VLCCs which transport most of the global waterborne inventory are not going to get any bigger or travel any faster.

So this amounts to what is known as “pipeline fill” in the trade, but is only the most obvious case of a multitude of storage and transit points between the oilfields of the Persian Gulf and end markets. You have the same thing, with overland pipelines throughout the US, Europe, Russia, China and places in-between, where there are tens of millions of barrels always moving through system.

Next, there are massive tank farms at refinery and upstream distribution points. Likewise, hundreds of millions of barrels at any moment in time are moving through petroleum product pipelines, rail tankers, trucking tankers and other channels of distribution downstream of refineries.

And yet that’s not the whole of it. As you move closer to retail and end users there are more refined product tank farms, hundreds of thousands of gasoline and diesel fuel stations with their own storage tanks, and finally hundreds of millions of auto, tractors, trucks, locomotives and aircraft, which carry their own rolling inventories

Just in the case of the the light vehicle fleet in the USA, there are 285 million vehicles on the roads, which carry about 2.42 billion gallons of fuel at any point in time. That’s another 58 million barrels in the working inventory of the system.

In any event, JPMorgan estimates that this normal “pipeline fill” or working inventory amounts to about 6.8 billion barrels on a worldwide basis. So even though the global commercial stocks totaled about 8.21 billion barrels on the eve of the war on January 31, upwards of 83% of that represented working inventories rather than a usable supply cushion.

Thus, as shown in the table below, the true usable surplus in the global petroleum inventory was about 610 million barrels as if January 31st, which represented just 5.8 days of ordinary global consumption of about 105 million barrels per day. Moreover, due to stockpile depletion since then as of May 15, the waterborne stock is down by-100 million barrels and land-based stock by -270 million barrels.

Overall, 370 million barrels or 60% of the true pre-war surplus has already been used up. So the current 240 million barrel excess above the JPMorgan estimated minimum working inventory amounts to just 2.3 days of normal global consumption.

When the system drops below the 7.6 billion working inventory minimum level, random disruptions begin to erupt unpredictably. For instance, refineries use a variety of different grades of crude oil, and if a certain blend-stock comes in short, refinery output and downstream availability can be sharply curtailed. Likewise, refinery product slates are extremely complex ranging from LPGs to jet fuel, gasoline, several distillate blends, heavy oils, asphalt and much more in-between.

When these output become unbalanced in the distribution system, more compounding outages and shortages develop. And that’s to say nothing at all about the true Big Enchilada of this massive, complex and delicate supply chain. To wit, the 7.6 billion barrel working inventory estimated by JPMorgan represents normal, steady-state, non-disrupted conditions.

But when shortages or outages develop or even fears of them proliferate, operators up and down the petroleum supply chain begin to build up precautionary stocks. This is, what was known as”topping the tank” during the supply disruptions of the 1970s. It amounts to rational hoarding behavior in the face of a stressed supply chain.

For instance, just adding 7 gallons to the normal auto tank in the USA alone, as happened in the 1970s, would drain upwards of 50 million barrels of inventory from the supply chain upstream of the gas pumps.

In all, therefore, the global inventory system is very close to the edge of a hoarding breakout. That is, at the point where there is very little true surplus cushion left in the global inventory system and hoarding based supply disruptions begin dramatically disrupt and roil the system.

To be sure, there is another 2.5 billion barrels of so called strategic or govenrment managed “emergency” stockpiles, but these numbers aren’t nearly what they are cracked up to be, either. As shown below, 55% of the total is held by China, which may or may not release it into world markets based on what suits the convenience and purposes of the rulers in Beijing.

Notably, Trump didn’t even raise the issue during his visit—notwithstanding the fact that Chairman Xi sits on 50% of all the available surplus on the planet (2.5 billion of strategic reserve stocks plus the above calculated 240 million barrels of remaining excess commercial stocks). Likewise, Japan sits at the end of a 30 day supply line from the Persian Gulf that has been essentially shutdown until the Donald’s war ends, meaning Tokyo is likely to hoard its own strategic reserves zealously.

And this gets us to the Donald’s real delusion: To wit, the false belief that “drill baby, drill” policies and surging US petroleum exports means that he can wait to settle the war as long as he pleases because the US economy is somehow insulated from the supply and price dislocations now roiling the global markets.

He’s dead wrong. When you track through the numbers carefully, as was done by Grok 4 in the table below, it becomes blatantly obvious that the only thing really going on is that the huge export shortfall from the Persian Gulf is resulting in nearly a barrel-for-barrel drain on US commercial and SPR stockpiles.

That’s right. Since February 28th there has been no increase in either crude oil production at about 13.6 million barrels/day (first column) nor total liquids production (second column). The latter includes natural gas liquids and refinery gains, where production is averaging about 21.2 million barrel per day.

At the same time, US exports have soared, as the Donald has been wont to point out. Combined exports of crude oil and products totaled 11.32 million barrels in February before any war impact and rerouting of tankers to the US Gulf Coast. But as of mid-May, the run rate of exports has hit 13.06 million barrels per day, representing a +1.74 million barrel per day gain in US petroleum exports.

So the question recurs. If production has not increased where did the surge in US exports come from?

Alas, the table below gives the answer: Whether he knows it or not, the Donald is draining the gas tank.

That is to say, 100% of the increase in exports has been derived from drawing down commercial stocks and the government SPR (Strategic Petroleum Reserve).

For want of doubt, here are the before and after stock numbers for the USA. Between February 28 and May 15 upwards of 68 million barrels have been drawn down from the SPR and commercial stocks. That amounts to 1 million barrels per day for the period as a whole; and explains how the huge surge of exports during the last six weeks of April and May to date have been supplied.

• SPR: Crude oil only (Strategic Petroleum Reserve).
• Commercial: All commercial inventories (crude oil + petroleum products, excl. SPR).
• Total: SPR + Commercial.
• Large draws driven by record-high net exports in March–May 2026 while production and domestic use remained stable.
• Daily rates show consistent inventory pressure (~1 million barrels per day total draw on average).

In a word, if the Donald had someone around him competent (and brave) enough to explain to the POTUS that he is draining the US petroleum tank at an unsustainable rate, he might start reading the entirety of what Iran is putting on the table.

As it is, he is within a few months of thundering petroleum supply chain crash landing in both the global market, but also on main street America, as well. If that happens, a Dem sweep in the fall elections and the first ever impeachment and removal from office of a sitting president is on the table.

To use to the Donald’s favorite phrase, that will truly be like something you have never seen before.

Iran threatened on Monday it would respond with “full strength” to any attack, after Donald Trump warned “there won’t be anything left of them” if they fail to rush through a deal to end the war.

Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said Tehran is continuing to “pursue diplomacy with seriousness,” but that the Islamic Republic “will not be subdued by contradictory behavior and threats from the opposing side.”

“We are fully prepared for every scenario,” he said, warning that, “in the event of any reckless action we will respond with full strength, and I assure you that our armed forces will definitely have new ‘surprises’ for the enemy.”

Donald Trump had urged on his Truth Social platform that the “clock is ticking” to end the war, as peace talks appear to have stalled.

Iran is understood to have relayed its latest peace offer to the United States via Pakistan, although a Pakistani source said both sides “keep changing their goalposts”.

Marjorie Taylor Greene warns of ‘revolution in America’ if Trump sends troops into Iran

Marjorie Taylor Greene has said there would be “political revolution in” the U.S. if President Trump deploys American soldiers in Iran.

It is unclear what exactly prompted the former Republican representative and one-time Trump ally to issue the warning, though reports indicate the US and Israel are preparing for renewed fighting amid the fragile month-old ceasefire.

“If you send in U.S. military troops into Iran, there is going to be a political revolution in America. WE. ARE. DONE. We said no more foreign wars and we meant it,” said Greene in a Sunday afternoon post on X. “The coalition will unite and be unstoppable. I’ll make sure of it.”

“End this war. It’s stupid,” she added.

In Trump’s latest social media outburst on Sunday towards Tehran, he warned that the “clock is ticking” as peace negations between the U.S. and Iran stall.

“For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The president last week rejected Iran’s response to Washington’s latest peace proposal as “totally unacceptable” after Tehran requested separate nuclear talks from peace negotiations.

Greene, who left Congress in January, has repeatedly voiced her opposition to the U.S. war against Iran, directly challenging the “mental state” of President Trump shortly after the conflict began.

“I want to say, what is happening to the man that I supported, you supported, the man that denounced what happened in Iraq, the man that said ‘No more foreign wars,’ ‘No more regime change?’” Greene told conservative commentator Megyn Kelly two days after the U.S.’s initial strikes February 28.

“Promised it on the campaign. JD Vance promised it. Tulsi Gabbard promised it, all of them promised it,” she added. “And we’re a year in, a year in, and we’re in another f****** war, and we’ve got American troops being killed.”

Greene had once been a close ally of the president and has echoed his claims that the 2020 presidential election was “stolen”.

Since last year, however, the former representative for Georgia’s 14th congressional district has broken with Trump over several domestic and foreign policy positions, including his decision to launch airstrikes on Iran last June, his support for Israel during the war in Gaza, and insufficient regulation of big tech.

Two Middle East officials who spoke with The New York Times said the United States and Israel are engaged in “intensive preparations”, the largest since the ceasefire took effect, for a possible resumption of strikes on Iran as early as next week.

The Israel Defense Forces on Sunday warned of a steadily worsening shortage of combat soldiers in the standing military, high burnout among troops, and fears that the reserve army could “collapse” if necessary legislation is not advanced by the government.

According to the IDF, a bill being advanced by the government that would ostensibly increase military conscription in the Haredi community, but ultimately enshrine blanket exemptions from military service, will not provide an adequate solution to the military’s personnel needs in the short term.

The coalition’s draft exemption bill is widely seen as legally iffy and loophole-laden and has generated intense resistance even among members of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition. The government has been working on advancing it despite repeated warnings from the IDF that it needs more troops.

If the bill is passed, and even if all its recruitment targets are met, only several hundred additional Haredi combat soldiers are expected to enlist per year, which the military has said would not answer its current needs.

The military has repeatedly warned that it is currently short some 12,000 standing army soldiers, a gap that it said would only expand due to the shortening of mandatory service at the start of 2027, unless the government passes legislation addressing the personnel shortages.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir has several times urged the government to again extend mandatory military service for men to 36 months, after it was shortened to 30 months in August 2024. The government has so far refused to approve this move.

The first cohort enlisted under this shorter service period will be discharged in January 2027, further exacerbating manpower issues unless the existing law is changed.

The IDF has repeatedly said it urgently needs 12,000 recruits — including 7,000 combat troops — due to the strain on standing and reserve forces caused by the years long multi-front war.

“The security need is huge and urgent, and the burnout [among soldiers] is far greater than we thought,” a senior officer told reporters on Sunday.

The military warned that if the shortened service period takes effect as planned in January 2027, the gap will grow by thousands more combat soldiers and service members in non-combat roles.

In addition to extending the mandatory service and a “relevant conscription law,” the military is also seeking a law changing how reservists are called up and for how long, given that currently the IDF relies on emergency call-up orders with various limitations.

Reservists are now serving dozens more days in reserve duty beyond the IDF’s original planning. Initially, the military sought to call up reservists for 55 days of duty in 2026. However, due to the war in Iran, many reservists have now served 80 to 100 days.

“If we do not do something now through legislation, the situation will worsen and disrupt the entire system,” the senior officer said.

The officer warned that there is a “final window of opportunity for legislation” to contain the personnel crisis, before the country goes to elections.

Otherwise, the gaps will grow larger, and the IDF will have to rely further on calling up reservists, which the officer warned could cause the reserve army “to collapse.”

The IDF’s Personnel Directorate has intensified its efforts over the past two and a half years to “maximize manpower” and expand its pool of recruits, including by opening more combat roles to women, calling on those exempt from reserve duty to return to service, and working to integrate ultra-Orthodox men into the army.

Some 80,000 ultra-Orthodox men aged 18 to 24 are currently believed to be eligible for military service but have not enlisted.

During the first half of the 2025–2026 draft period, around 1,850 Haredi soldiers enlisted, and the military estimates that by the end of the draft period, the number will exceed 3,000 — a record figure, but still far below the military’s goal of 4,800 ultra-Orthodox recruits per year.

According to the IDF’s data, there are around 90,000 individuals designated as draft evaders or who will soon be declared such, the vast majority of them Haredi.
