]]><p>I keep using the phrase, but Defected is another one of the Ibiza Old Guard, its kept going and its kept being a success, id put it down to the lineups being different each year, new and old can easily share a lineup and the nights just work.</p>
<p>This year you can head over and see the likes of The Shapeshifters, Bob Sinclar, Sandy Rivera etc… It all takes place in Pacha and tickets start at €38 early season going up to €48 for the rest of the season.</p>

Retro @ Sankeys Ibiza 2012
]]><p>One of my loves in life has to be Retro more specifically, Paul Taylor. I blame it entirely on spending time in the North East of England where Retro was an institution for so long. Over in Ibiza, Retro has had its highs. Circo 10 years ago, Retro was the workers party of choice, the retro tunes went down a storm and Retro was cemented.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, the pull of Retro has dropped some what over the last 5 years or so, i myself haven’t been to one for years now, but once in a while, i do go, and it reminds me why i loved it so much!</p>
<p>This summer, Retro don’t have a regular night, but they have confirmed two parties in Sankey’s Ibiza on the <strong>2nd July</strong> and <strong>18th September</strong></p>
<p>If you have the chance, go and check it out, if you cant make the night, try your best to get to the pre party, Retro is one of the best pre parties around.</p>

We Love… 2012
]]><p>The We love crew are seasoned at throwing parties full stop, Ibiza is no different, Many view Sundays at Space as a party of legends. Gone are the 22 hour parties of yesteryear, but that doesn’t mean the party has stopped!</p>
<p>Sundays at Space are a safe bet for anyone, any week of the season. The reason behind this is largely to do with We Love. They put in a shift or two making sure the lineups are spot on and the nights go down as they should. Im sure ive said it before and i will say it again, if you know what you love, then you will know if We Love is a night for you, if you’re not sure, jump in feet first and check it out.</p>
<p>Every sunday between 17th June and 30th September, ticket prices are between €40 and €70 depending which week you go to through the season.</p>

Amnesia Opening Party June 2012
]]><p>On the 9th June 2012, Amnesia will be opening for yet another season entertaining the masses. Priced at 40 there are two rooms of music to tantalise your taste buds.</p>
<p>This year you can expect to see the likes of Sander Kleinenberg in the main room with the likes of Reeboot on the terrace.</p>
<p>Every year Space has the headlines when it comes to opening parties and Amnesia have never done much to open sooner, however, Amnesia is one opening party ive not been to that i would make the effort to get to. For me, Amnesia doesn’t have the glitz and the glamor when it comes to the opening parties, but it does have the real people and some serious music.</p>

]]><p>Pukka Up are one of the old guard when it comes to Ibiza, Always there, always reliable, and they have always ruled the waves with their boat parties. If my patchy mind remembers correctly, Pukka Up were the first real club brand to really make waves with the boat parties (like what i did there!!)</p>
<p>In 2012 they are running two competitions at the moment to become an integral part of the Pukka Up 2012 season. </p>
<p>The first competition is to become the IT Girl of Pukka up, the only requirements are that you are attractive and love to party….. Ibiza is short of girls like that.. honest! Ibiza Rocks Bar – Playa Den Bossa
]]><p>Ibiza Rocks announced last week that they will be opening an Ibiza Rocks Bar / Dinner in Playa Den Bossa for the 2012 season. Traditionally, most things Ibiza Rocks have been in the surrounds of San Antonio.</p>
<p>Moving into Playa Den Bossa will raise some eyebrows and no doubt some people will moan. I personally think it would be a good move. and here is why</p>
<ol>
<li>I have openly moaned about Ibiza Rocks on here before but one thing that i do love about Ibiza Rocks Bar is the food. I dont recall having some ware reliably great to eat in PDB at good prices. Ibiza Rocks at the very minimum will provide some great food at great prices. I recommend the pancakes for breakfast!</li>
<li>It opens up getting to Ibiza Rocks, ive only stayed in PDB at the very start of the season when not much is open so im not sure if this was put on anyway, but i will presume transport will be put on from the venue.</li>
<li>It will provide some more pre parties. No town can have to many pre parties!</li>

]]><p>Tonight saw the first episode of Ibiza Rocks Radio (IRR) broadcast live on livestream.com. I listened to a good hour of it, and it was a great listen. Different to what i have come to expect from Ibiza Rocks after my last visit, but in a very good way! W.A.R which is We Are Rock stars, is a new night in Ibiza Rocks for 2012 and if this is a taster of whats to come, it will fast become my preferred Ibiza Rocks event!</p>

]]><p>And just like buses, they come two at a time! Tiesto has announced through his twitter that he will be taking up a residency in Pacha for 2012, rumours have been flying of this announcement but at almost exactly the same time Armin announced his news and new venue, Tiesto thought he would share the limelight!</p>
<p>His tweet states he is opening on the 28th May which is nice and early for any fans also wanting to catch the opening weekend of action. Its definitely not a venue i would have expected for Tiesto, but Pacha has become a club that just wants to fill the club regardless of the music the dj’s will play. With the rumored departure of the Swedish House Mafia, they need to fill that void somehow.</p>
