We are very pleased to announce we will be releasing the next DUCKING PUNCHES ep.

The EP will be titled ‘I am Arturo Bandini’ and will be presented on a tasty colored Vinyl.

Dan is currently in the studio recording and we cant wait to hear the finished product.

Here are some words on his last works:

“Ducking Punches is the stage moniker for Dan Allen, with the occasional help of some extra backing vocals and violin playing. His debut album is a collection of well-written folk driven acoustic punk rock numbers, which at times seem like they’re drenched in whisky, southern USA style. The most pertinent feature of this full length is the thoroughly thought out song structures. No song sounds the same, with each track having its own identity. There’s the jaunty folk-punk ditty ‘Punk Rock Girl’, the Chuck Ragan-esque ‘Out For The Count’, and ‘Adventures Of My Liver And Lungs’ that could easily be a Frank Turner b-side, all sitting comfortably side-by-side on this album. My personal favorite however has to be ‘D.I.Y Or Die’ – a proud homage to the UK’s punk rock scene. I can easily hear the chorus becoming a group sing-a-long moment at DP gigs over the coming months.”

“Recording for the new Only Fumes & Corpses release is done. 12 songs were recorded over two evenings in late December.  “Selfish Act I” is currently being mixed and mastered by Ciaran Parnell in Dublin.  Expect a digital release in the very near future and a vinyl release in the not so distant future.  “Selfish Act II”  (one song/17 minutes long!!!!) will be recorded in early February. “

If you dig that so-cal skatepunk sound then this is the band for you to be getting stoked on! The Morons of truth is 12 songs of double time filled melodic punk, similar to bands such as Pennywise, Rise Against and Alkaline Trio this album will rock your socks off from start to finish. If you like your punk rock loud, fast, fantic and up in your face then Drones are the band for you. If you caught them on their UK tour then you are probably sat at home agreeing with me but if you are one of those still yet to see this band then head over to their facebook page give them a like then go check them out at a show as satisfaction is more than guaranteed.

I love bands that don’t sound like anyone else and Everything On Red are one such   band. The three piece; consisting of guitarist, drummer and synthesiser, pump out a brand of music all their own and on top of it – all share vocal and writing duties. The vocals are definitely unapologetic in both tone and delivery but it might be the synth that gives EOR their edge; it’s all over the place, and lends a sort of 8-bit video game tone to proceedings that will have you dancing and head banging whether you like it or not – it’s just a straight up fact. That all members share the writing duties reflects massively in the songs themselves, although only an EP, the variety on display is stunning. Not only between songs but within songs themselves: tempo changes, both synth and guitar riffs, backing vocals – all are utilised to such an extent that each song becomes a mini journey for your lucky little ears so without further ado, I suggest you do yourself a massive favour and track them down.

Aintuse “The Morons Of Truth” is 12 songs of fast paced skate punk, influenced by bands from Pennywise to Alkaline Trio. This four piece from Austria look set to be making some serious noise in 2012 with a UK tour in the works. Make sure you pick yourself up a copy of this awesome album.

This is a nice little surprise, the punk trend pioneered by the likes of Rancid, Burning Heads, Alkaline Trio and Black Flag can now add another name to their roster in the form of Austrian power house: Aintuse. You’ll know what I mean when you click play on this one, from beginning to end you’re in for pure punk, the kind of music that needs to be played loud as the soundtrack to a day of extreme sports with your drunk friends. The drums keep the pace up to something wicked and the guitar has that kind of chugging power found on the heavier titles of Sum 41’s back catalogue. The bass is also a shocker – rather than falling in behind the guitar, as can often be the case with punk bands, it frequently gets its’ own little moment to shine within a song and often rises to the forefront of the arrangement to put a little bounce in your neck muscles and a smile on your face. The vocals are nothing new in regards to this style of music but to be fair – who cares? It’s the perfect style for this type of music and if it aint broke don’t fix it right? Lovely stuff all round, seek them out now – I command it.   

Drones have released their debut “Mutiny” and what a debut it is. 11 tracks of blistering politically aware punk rock from the Camberly trio. The band are currently on tour at the moment to support the release and you can view the tour dates here

Drones have successfully set out to make socio-political tunes in the vein of Anti-Flag, Strike Anywhere, and Rise Against. In fact, upon hearing Mutiny, the first thought I had was “is this a spin off band from Anti-Flag?” Drones play fast and frantic punk, if you didn’t understand that description and comparison. The main difference between them and the bands mentioned is that Drones carries this energy almost the entire album. This makes things feel tiresome at times, but luckily, Mutiny does change it up a bit in several spots. Around “Assassins of Youth”, the band begin to add a bit more flavor to the mix. Though the crazy energy is still present, it feels more controlled during this last section of songs. The writing is better and more varied, helping Mutinyget back on track. – By Nathaniel Lay

> Bottom Line: Fans of Anti-Flag and fast,angry punk will like Drones the most. Next time, though, it would sound better if the band did more controlled numbers like the ending section of Mutiny.
