Present Perfect Tense

I have ever gone to Jakarta. = Saya sudah pernah pergi ke Jakarta.
She hasn't ever eaten pizza. = Dia belum pernah makan pizza.
We have ever climbed a mountain. = Kami pernah mendaki gunung.
Pada kalimat-kalimat di atas, terdapat kata ever/never. Inilah ciri-ciri kalimat present perfect tense yang dipakai untuk menceritakan pengalaman.
2. Menyatakan kegiatan yang dilakukan di masa lampau akan tetapi sampai saat ini kita masih melakukannya.
Contoh:
I have lived in Jambi since 1980. = Saya sudah tinggal di Jambi sejak 1980.
He has slept for 2 hours= Dia sudah tidur selama dua jam.
Contoh lain:
I have been a lawyer since 1998.
Kalimat ini menyatakan bahwa subjek sudah menjadi pengacara sejak tahun 1998 dan sampai saat inipun subjek masih seorang pengacara.
Simple present tense untuk fungsi yang ke dua ini biasanya sering menggunakan kata since atau for.
3. Untuk menyatakan kegiatan yang dikerjakan pada masa lampau dan sudah selesai atau tidak dikerjakan lagi akan tetapi masih memiliki efek pada masa sekarang atau present.
Contoh:
I have eaten. = Saya sudah makan
Pada kalimat ini, subjek sudah selesai makan akan tetapi subjek masih merasakan efek dari kegiatannya eaten/makan yaitu merasa kenyang.
Semoga teman-teman bahasa Inggris online sudah paham kegunaan present perfect tense.
Pola kalimat
Pola kalimat present perfect tense ini sangat simple. Menggunakan have/has yang mempunyai arti sudah kemudian memakai kata kerja bentuk ke tiga/V3/past participle

Positif/affirmative
I/you/we/they + have + V3
She/he/it + has + V3
John + has + v3
Shinta + has + V3
John and Shinta + have + V3
Contoh:
I have written short stories since 1996.
They have ever made brownies.
Cyntia has never played soccer.
My mother has lived in America since 2010.
The cat has ever eaten pizza.
The cats have ever eaten pizza.
Negatif
Subjek + have/has + not + past participle/v3
Contoh:
I havent eaten.
She has not slept.
They havent got up.
Note: Perlu diketahui bahwa dalam kalimat negatif, kata has not/hasnt dan have not/havent mempunyai arti belum.
Kata never tidak boleh digunakan dalam kalimat negative, melainkan hanya dalam kalimat positif saja karena kata never sudah memiliki makna negative.
I have not never eaten pizza.(salah)
I have never eaten pizza. (benar)
Pertanyaan
Have/has + Subjek + V3/past participle + ?
Contoh:
Have you ever stayed in a hotel? Yes, I have/No, I have not
Has your mother got up? Yes, she has/ No, she has not.
Have the students do their homework? Yes, they have/No, they have not.

What have you eaten? I have eaten watermelon
How long has your mother slept? She has slept for 4 hours.
How long have they lived in Jambi? They have lived in Jambi for 10 years.
Been
Dalam simple present tense kita mengenal adanya is, am, dan are. Dalam simple past tense kita mengenal adanya was dan were. Pada present perfect tense kita mengenal adanya been.
Been adalah bentuk ke 3/past participle dari is, am, are.

Contoh kalimat:
I am a teacher. (simple present tense)
I was a teacher. (simple past tense)
I have been a teacher since 1995. (present perfect tense).

Simple Future Tense

Future Tense atau Simple Future digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa yang Akan Terjadi. Future tense adalah tentang Nanti. Sesuatu arti katanya Future yaitu Masa Depan. Karena itu dalam Future Tense penggunaan kata Will, Shall yang artinya akan yang akan mendominasi .
Penggunakan simple future tense:
1. No plan
Kita menggunakan simple future tense ketika kegiatan yang akan kita lakukan tersebut tidak kita rencanakan sebelumnya dengan kata lain kita memutuskan akan melakukan suatu kegiatan itu secara spontan tanpa ada rencana sebelumnya.
Contoh:
Wait! Ill buy some drinks.
Maybe Well stay at home and watch TV tonight.
Kata think juga sering digunakan dalam simple future tense.
Contoh:
I think I will go home.
I dont think I will buy a car.
I think I will have a holiday next year.
2. Prediction
Kita juga bisa menggunakan simple future tense untuk memprediksikan sesuatu dan kita hanya mengatakan apa yang ada dipikiran kita mengenai sesuatu yang akan terjadi. Biasanya tanpa memiliki bukti atau hal-hal yang bisa mendukung prediksi kita itu akan benar-benar terjadi.
Contoh:
It will rain tomorrow.
People wont go to Jupiter before 21st century.

Dalam kalimat dengan bentuk simple future tense kita menggunakan modal auxiliary will dan shall yang mempunyai arti akan.
Will bisa dipasangkan dengan semua jenis subjek (I, you, we, they, she, he, it) sedangkan shall hanya boleh dipasangkan denga subjek I dan we saja. Perlu selalu diingat bahwa kata kerja yang dimasukan setelah will/shall adalah V1
I----------- will/shall
You------- will
We ---------- will/shall
They --------- will
She ------------ will
He -------------- will
It --------------- will
Rumus:
Positif : Subjek + will + V1
Contoh Kalimat
I will sleep. = Saya akan tidur.
They will work. = Mereka akan bekerja.
Rina will eat before me. = Rina akan makan sebelum saya.
Negatif: Subjek + Will not/wont + V1
Contoh:
I wont sleep.
They wont work.
Rina wont eat before me.
Introgatif: Will/shall + Subjek + V1
Contoh;
Will you sleep? Yes, I will/No, I will not/No, I wont
Will they work? Yes, They will/No, They will not.
Will Rina ear before me? Yes, She will/ No, She will not.
Contraction
I will/shall = Ill
You will = Youll
We will/shall = well
They will = Theyll
She will = Shell
He will = Hell
It will = Itll
Simple future tense dengan menggunakan be
Kita bisa membuat kalimat simple future tense dalam bentuk nominal atau dengan menggunakan be. Caranya gampang sekali, tinggal meletakkan be setelah will/shall.
Contoh:
I will be late. (saya akan terlambat)
Will you be at home tomorrow? (Akankah kamu ada dirumah besok?)
Shell be in Jakarta tomorrow.

Hello , I am new in this English Education and Literature section. :D
If I may , I want to open a discussion thread about :

*"Dead End in Norvelt" by Jack Gantos *

Image: http://blog.schoollibraryjournal.com/afuse8production/files/2011/04/DeadEndNorvelt.jpg

Let me introduce myself :

I am Rheza Arief. :D
Currently studying in UNESA English Literature on the 7th semester.

I am currently on seminar course. And I am going to come up with the discussion of "Dead End in Norvelt" by Jack Gantos.

The main discussion that I seek is whether *Jackie's character* in the novel
is currently seeking his *Self Identity* by showing his *Existentialism *through a *Subjective Autentication from his Imagination* or not.

The thing is , I wondered whether an Imaginational progress that happens in a novel can be considered as an analysis.
Because as I saw from this novel, Jackie's character show his existence by doing whatever he wants from his imagination.
Perhaps I'll give a brief example in the spoiler :D

On the first chapter we can see Jack imagining as a Soldier, fighting in battle. using his dad loot of war against the Japanesse. Then he pretend to shot the enemy by using real rifle but he didnt know that it is loaded and ended up shooting his neighbour yard.

I will be glad to get a response here :D
If u need the PDF files of the Novel you can PM me for the copy :D

Any other discussion regarding the novel might be considered as I mainly project this novel as my Thesis analysis :D

*TNT THEATRE BRITAIN and ADGE EUROPE*
Presents
Fantastic story: *The Gullivers Travels*
By Jonathan Swift

Utopian novel performed by world class actors
at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta

The acclaimed European Theater Company, ADG-Europe, is finally coming to Jakarta on October 19 and 20, 2012 to perform at the Gedung Kesenian Jakarta. As a part of fall Asia tour, TNT Theatre Britain will perform to captivate audiences from 10 to 99 years old with an entertaining play adapted from the book by Jonathan Swift. Great entertainment for the whole family!

Gullivers Travels
GULLIVERS TRAVELS is described by George Orwell as one of the ten best books ever written. The book examines the human condition with such clarity and indeed morality, that it is hard to think of a more profound use of satire. This is why; The Gullivers Travels theater performance is a wonderful way to experience this great literature work.

The play is performed in an almost musical fashion/style, with instruments and songs. Paul Stebbings (Artistic Director) brilliantly transforms his actors from dwarfs to giants. Gulliver journeys through five worlds: our world, where there is a balance between the love of his family and the cruelty of the pirates and mutineers; the world of the little people in Lilliput, where he parodies government; Brobdingnag the world of the giants where he explores commodity and the corruption of power (physical and financial); Laputa where he explores the absurdities of science and superstition and finally the land of the noble horses and the beastly Yahoos. The whole journey is also a triumph of imagination.

GULLIVERS TRAVELS will have presentations on October 19, at 3:30pm and 7:30 pm, October 20 at 3:30pm and 7:30pm. Tickets for the performance are priced at 170.000 IDR for children and students and 270.000 IDR for adults. Groups over 20 people will enjoy a discount.

PAST TENSE FREE

MUQODDIMAH

Rumus Past Tense:
Positif: S + V2
Negatif: S + did not + V1
Tanya: Did + S + V1

Rumus Past Tense Rumit?
Benar! eh tidak, lanjutkan saja bacanya..
Anda resepkan dulu bahwa kata kerja bantu DO bentuk present DO, bentuk keduanya (Bentuk Past) adalah DID. Kalau Present kan: I do not maka Past nya: I did not.
Yang barusan saya terangkan diatas tadi akan memudahkan Anda mempelajari Past Tense ini untuk Kalimat yang Negatif dan Kalimat Tanya. Ingat saja DO jadi DID. inga.. inga hehe..

Contoh Kalimat Past Tense:
- I launched this thread on Sept 13th 2012
saya meluncurkan thread ini pada tanggal 13 september 2012
Kata kerjanya bentuk kedua launched, ini tergolong kata kerja beraturan, tinggal tambahkan ED di belakang launch.

Contoh lagi:
Kita akan pakai kata kerja bentuk 1-2-3 berikut:

see saw seen (melihat)
buy bought- bought (membeli)
go went gone (pergi)

-I saw her standing there (Saya lihat dia berdiri disana).
-My Father bought this car last year
-They went to Tokyo last month
-She went home two minutes ago

Semua itu sudah terjadi, sudah melihat, membeli mobilnya juga tahun lalu, ke Tokyonya bulan lalu, pulangnya (went home) juga 2 menit yang lalu. Kita gunakan Past Tense. Faham ya?

Kalimat Negatif Past Tense
Sesuai rumusnya: S + did + not + V1

Perhatikan dengan seksama, Kata kerjanya berubah lagi menjadi bentuk pertama (V1). Lalu kata kerja bentuk past-nya kemana? Pindah ke DID nya itu. Tadi kan diatas sudah saya bilang:

V1 -V2 V3: Do Did Done
Jadi kita pakai Did. Karena negatif maka tambah Not. Jadi Did Not! hehe..

Kalimat positif tadi, kita jadikan negatif:
-I saw her standing there
Menjadi: I did not see her standing there
Lihatlah saw jadi see lagi. See-saw-seen kan bentuk kata kerjanya?

Yes benar, berurusan dengan Past Tense maka Anda perlu mempunyai banyak perbendaharaan Kata Kerja.
Positif: My Father bought this car last year
Negatif: My Father did not BUY this car last year

Anda coba yang dua ini ya:
-They went to Tokyo last month. Jadi .
-She went home two minutes ago. Jadi

Kalimat Tanya Past Tense

Kalau Anda sudah tau kalimat negatif Past Tense maka kalimat tanya tinggal dibalik mawon, DID nya di depan Subject.

Positif: My Father bought this car last year
Tanya: Did My Father BUY this car last year

Anda coba yang dua ini ya:
-They went to Tokyo last month. Jadi .
-She went home two minutes ago. Jadi .

Boleh saja Anda tambahkan dengan Where, When, Why dan sebagainya seperti ini:

-When did my father buy this car?
-Why did they go to tokyo?

if your like this my thread please your coment and give :cendolbig

======================================================================================
In English Simple Present Tense or Present Tense is used to express the events or incidents.
events, activities and so is the case today.
Present Tense is also used to express a fact, or something that occurs repeatedly TODAY future.
Remember, PRESENT means is that now.

Formula:
Positif: S + V1 (s/es)
Negatif: S + DO/DOES + NOT + V1
Tanya: DO/DOES + S + V1

deliberate, Tense learning english is just simple to quickly understand.
You need to develop yourself as to make 100 examples of their own.
Definitely you need grammar as well, because learning tenses and then stuck with a verb it is usually not so, hehe ..

How to Read a formula:
S means Subject, Verb meaning V1 1 or the first verb form.

When to use S or ES and do not?
If the Subject He, She, It, John, Mufli, Ellen or third person verb SINGLE then added S or ES.
Not any more S or ES too, there's the list. The list was stout once, imposible I write here, you must buy the book Grammar as well.
Learn English need capital, hehe.

At the top there is a single term Third Person.meaning: The third person is the person we are talking about, we're talking about.
Whereas the first to speak. the spoken .So the third person singular is the person we are talking about and the one he was.
For example, we were both talking about John Scoping. That way I am, that you heard, spoken John Scoping (third person singular). Understand it?

-John Scoping belajar Tenses.
-John Scoping learnS english.

LearnES can not, why? yes it was!. But what is even more ES:

The Wise Word
share knowledge, add to friend
many friends, add sustenance :)

hai guys ...........
i have question for u , if right ? i want to sending :cendolbig for u . it's serious

1.He can speak English
2.He can speaks English
now look at the following . choose number one or two?
and give me reason ?

Goerge Orwell: opinion about Indonesia

" Between three frontier of super states
Eurasia,Oceania, and Eastasia, and not
permanently in possession of any of them,
there lies a rough quadrilateral with its
corners at Tangiers, Brazzavlile, Darwin, and
Hongkong. These territories contain a
bottomless reserve of cheap labour.

Whichever power controls equatorial Africa,
or the Middle East or Southern India or the
INDONESIAN ARCHIPELAGO, disposes also
of the bodies or MILLIONS OF ILL-PAID AND
HARDWORKING COOLIES.
Expended by their conquerors like so much coal and oil in race
to turn out more armaments, to control
more territories, to control more
labour" (Goerge Orwell, 1933).

What do you guys think?
Do you think it's still relevant to describe our nation current situation now?
Are we just destined to become a nation with millions of ill paid and hardworking coolies?
what can we do to change it?
please give me your opinion?
