How do I know? Well, Pinterest is bursting with creative wedding tips (seriously, I think I could now plan a bridal shower in my sleep), Keira Knightley just got married in a recycled Rodarte dress, and this week Grazia is celebrating the “rise of the bridechillas” (they love to merge words at Grazia). Oh – and most importantly – J.Crew’s Wedding Collection for summer 2013 is super low-key and effortlessly pretty.

You might think a lightweight linin dress with subtle floral embroidery is far too casual for a bride, but once on (see the last model shot below) it looks elegant, simple and seriously cool. Who wouldn’t want to be that summer bride?

Molly Schaul, the director of wedding design at J.Crew, explains, “For summer we were inspired to use light, romantic fabrics, like embroidered eyelet, linen and swiss-dot chiffon. They’re perfect to add a little fun and texture to your look.”

The J.Crew summer wedding gowns all make a big impact, but they’re in no way fussy or overly-formal. My personal favourites include Angelique, Rosebloom and Corrina. If I was a bride-to-be I’d find it difficult to chose between them. So maybe I’m more interested in wedding dresses that I originally thought…

Anna Wintour would be proud… The Met Gala took place over 10 days ago, and Emma Watson still appears to be in the punk mindset. Last night Emma made her Cannes Film Festival red carpet debut, at the premiere of The Bling Ring. The 23-year-old actress chose an ivory and black Chanel couture design for the occasion, and accessorised with a punk-lite delicate earcuff. I love the fact she kept her look elegant and low-key, sticking to one single accessory. It’s perhaps the best she’s ever looked, don’t you agree?

As we sat down to dinner at Vanilla we were each presented with a bottle of Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil with our names on (I’ve been using this daily ever since, and the rose hip formula has completely revitalised my skin.) The menu featured pumpkin and coriander soup, followed by Sea Bream with spinach and roasted new potatoes, then a selection of deserts. After the starter was served Ole talked us through the new CC product range and its many different benefits. The complexion cream and eye cream both do a range of fabulous things, from moisturising and nourishing to boosting collagen and reducing the appearance of fine lines.

I’ve since given both products a try and love how they feel on my skin. Sadly the CC Crème only comes in two sades at the moment, light and medium (the Eye Crème in ‘natural’), but if works to your skintone I think you’ll be very happy with the results. The Ole Heniksen CC collection will launch nationwide in the UK from the end of June and at John Lewis on May 24th. Prices £20 and £29.

The only thing that annoys me about this cover is the fact they felt the need to mention Christy is “fabulous at 44″, as if it’s some kind of miracle that anyone over 35 could still be fabulous. Why do magazines continue with this annoying “fabulous at [enter non-shocking age here]” stick? Surely if someone is fabulous at 39 they’ll continue to be fabulous into their 40′s and beyond. It’s insanely irritating. Just say Christy Turlington is fabulous. Simple.

There are certain fashion items that will forever be considered classics. The little black dress, for example, or a pair of figure-hugging skinny jeans. On Sunday evening I had the pleasure of attending the Television Bafta Awards with M.A.C Cosmetics. As the official makeup partner for the awards, M.A.C were stationed in the Bafta Style Suite at the Corinthia Hotel all day, preparing nominees and guests for the red carpet. I arrived at the hotel just after 2pm and headed straight into makeup with a M.A.C artist. As I was planning to wear a simple black dress by Vivienne Westwood Anglomania, we decided to go for a strong, smokey eye and a glossy pink lip.

Charlie from the M.A.C team first applied all of my eye makeup, which seemed strange as I’m used to starting with foundation, concealer and blush. But she explained it would stop pigments of eyeshadow dropping all over my done-up face – a simple trick I’ll be copying from now on. I should have written down a list of all the products and colours Charlie used during my appointment, but we were far too busy gossiping about her new chihuahua puppy, so now I’m afraid I have nothing much to report back. But if you’re based in Cardiff make sure you visit Charlie at the M.A.C counter in Debenhams, she’ll be able to solve all your makeup dilemas!

Once my makeover was complete I headed to the Mark Hill pop-up salon to get my hair styled. I then made my way to the M.A.C hotel suite to get ready with their other guests – Lily from What I Heart Today, Zara from Mouldy Fruit and Milly from Peals and Poodles. As we all left for the awards we saw Matt LeBlanc outside the Corinthia, which was easily the best celeb spot of the entire night. You can’t get more famous than Joey from Friends!

Graham Norton hosted the Bafta Television Awards, this year, so it was a fun night despite the fact I had no idea who anyone was. I don’t watch much British TV, so I was most excited when Girls picked up the International award. Sadly Lena Dunham and the rest of the cast didn’t attend the ceremony though, as they’re busy filming season three. We should have accepted on their behalf, I think…

After the awards ceremony we slipped out for a quick dinner at Balthazar in Covent Garden, before returning to the Royal Festival Hall for the after party. Spencer and Jamie from Made in Chelsea spent the night strutting around like royalty – I guess that’s what a Bafta win does to you!

Thank you M.A.C for a fabulous and unforgettable evening. It was super-glam, despite the rain and soggy red carpet…

I love a statement accessory and am constantly on the look-out for quirky and unique designs. So you can imagine my excitement when I discovered Joanna Pybus‘ furry face clutch bags on BENGT. The young London-based designer has savvily added affordable accessories to her namesake label (now in its second season), which will no doubt boost her profile. Joanna’s ready-to-wear designs are bold and print-heavy, so the full head-to-toe look may not work for everyone, but her playful clutch bags and totes are an failsafe way to buy into the collection. Team them with low-key outfits – a little black dress or indigo jeans and a white T-shirt – for maximum impact. Sure, they’re totally bonkers, but why should fashion be so serious?
