Bad Podcasters! Bad!

Ummm, so some of you may have noticed that there hasn't been a podcast of late. The short of it is that Michael and I just got too busy lately trying to deal with the holidays, and the projects we've been working on started to overwhelm us too. The podcast will reappear after the first of the year, but I will warn you that there will be some changes coming. You'll find out more about that as things get sorted out over the next couple of weeks. Expect an episode on January 8th. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and a spectacular new year!

MAX Day 3

I'm sitting in the Las Vegas airport, waiting for my flight. I just realized that I forgot to do a podcast yesterday. There wasn't a whole lot of CF info in the 3rd general session. They demoed the server monitoring and image manipulation again.

Overall, the conference was really good. I met a lot of people and learned a whole bunch. I think we're going to try and do a podcast on Monday where we can talk a lot more in depth about the conference and what I saw there.

Recording

I was planning on bringing some of the podcast equipment and talking to some of the folks around here, but I'm just not sure that I can find a good place to do the recording. The community lounge on the fifth level might work, but I'm not sure it's open (there's a sponsor reception after 5:00). If it is, I'll be there at 5:30 or so. If not, I'll reschedule and put details here and in today's podcast.

I'm off to Vegas in a few hours, and I'm really, really excited for MAX. I'm really lucky in that there's a regional carrier that flies out of an airport 15 minutes from my house. That means I don't have to drive down to Denver and deal with DIA. It'll save me at least a couple of hours. Also, since everybody and their brother has done this already, I might as well follow suit and post my agenda for the conference:

I haven't finalized this 100% yet, but if you'd like to talk about something on the podcast, come find me in the community lounge on Tuesday around 5:30. I'll probably be pretty easy to find. I'll be the one with all the audio stuff. We'd love to hear about projects you're working on, stuff you've seen at MAX, whatever!

The ColdFusion Podcast Episode 34

All news this week as Bryan gets ramped up for MAX. He'll be there live and in color with microphone in hand so hook up with him to be on the next episode! Several good links for developers getting started with CF this week as well as some useful tips for those more advanced.

Update: I (Bryan) somehow managed to cut out a small chunk of the audio while we were talking about MAX. All we said was that I was going to get Michael in via Skype for some of the discussions. Sorry about that!
