If you have a taste for the macabre, check out “rise of pain in dreams,” the showpiece vinyl figure presented by coarsetoys. While the pictures may not belie its size, the haplessly wounded figure was originally sculpted by Mark Landwehr to a massive 1:3 scale (69 cm x 35.5 cm x 18 cm) back in 2010. Coarsetoys then took two years to painstakingly transform the original sculpture into an impressively detailed, and faithfully re-created vinyl piece, which will be available for purchase from Coarsetoys on June 12 for $5,880 HKD (approximately $760 USD). Medicom team up with Marvel’s The Avengers to give the mighty Iron Man Mark VII his very own BE@RBRICK in two sizes. Set to be unveiled in person at the Medicom Toy Exhibition 2012, the BE@RBRICK body gets suited up Iron Man’s signature red and gold armor plated outfit, which sees the 100% model have a metallic finish and the 400% getting a matte job. The two stand in at 70mm and 280mm respectively. These are to be released on June 23
