This blog is part of a larger project which we intend to roll out in September of 2009.

The project, College Search Game Plan, is an internet based guide for families of college bound students, designed to take them through the constantly evolving maze that is the college admissions process.

We are a small group of professional college counselors, who have been helping families for more than twenty years through our flagship enterprise, Strategies For College. We have an excellent standing in the industry, with an impressive array of testimonials from parents, high school counselors, and college administrators.

We offer a fully integrated program through individual counseling and consulting to parents and students. Compared to many high profile operators in this business, our fees are very modest. However, for the average family, we recognize that even modest consulting fees can be just too burdensome.

Yet the need for expert help is increasingly urgent in a situation where funding a college education is wiping out retirement plans, home equity, and putting relatively affluent families and students into significant debt. The situation is even more serious for those families that do not enjoy higher income and have several college bound students.

Our constant goal is to level the playing field, enabling students to identify a number of schools that correspond to their academic and personal qualities, with a financial package that does not decimate savings and retirement plans, or create extreme debt.

So we are translating our fully integrated counseling system into a modular format that can be delivered online at an affordable price for every family. More to follow on that later …
This blog addresses issues that are in the news, as well as answering specific questions. Another site, http://www.mybestcollegesearch.com, offers parents some insights into how the college admissions process works, and the challenges they can expect. The site certainly promotes the College Search Game Plan, but mostly encourages parents to start planning in some form or another as early as possible.
Strategies For College can be found at http://qc400.com/default.aspx . This site contains many of the tools that our private clients have used to complete a successful college search. These same tools will soon become available through The College Search Game Plan.

Although we are certainly not heavyweight internet marketers, you can nevertheless find us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/CollegeGamePlan and at http://twitter.com/collegesearch10 and on Facebook .
We look forward to your comments, suggestions, ideas and insights.

Yours truly,

The team at College Search Game Plan
