Recently you may have heard about the new Social Network that’s making a buzz in the online world, but have you heard that it’s causing traffic increases to business websites that beat Google+, YouTube & LinkedIn combined? It’s called Pinterest, and in my opinion it’s fantastic! I’ve put together this super simple starter guide that you need to know before starting with Pinterest.

Drupal Down Under 2012

In only its second year, Drupal Down Under is fast becoming the premier Drupal conference in the South East Asia and Pacific region. Held in Melbourne this year, the weather was cold and miserable on the day before, confirming the common conception that Melbourne is indeed the city where all four seasons occure in the one day. Thankfully the sun came out to play on the days that counted.

Teaser:

In only its second year, Drupal Down Under is fast becoming the premier Drupal conference in the South East Asia and Pacific region. Highlights for this year were the keynotes from Dries Buytaert, the founder of Drupal, Dmitri Gaskin the teen Drupal prodigy and Gian Wild who presented on the WCAG2 guidelines.

Is your business scared of Facebook? So was Darwin Airport, in the beginning.

After the successful adoption of Twitter into the airport's communications suite and launch of the iPhone app, it seemed a logical next step to utilise Facebook to inform and engage with our stakeholders.

It’s not for twits. How the Darwin Airport team learned to love Twitter and their followers loved them back.

The adoption of Twitter as a mainstream and highly valued communication tool within the Darwin Airport team was definitely a slow-burn event.

In the beginning, Twitter was mainly used to send out links to media releases stored on the website or to advertise internal jobs. Darwin Airport also retweeted standard fare about the weather and announcements from airlines.
