3 Easy Steps to Create The Perfect Screenshot on a Windows Device.

Taking screenshots with our devices is a very important feature that we all need for our work, fun and carrying out other activities. But when we think of doing this we find out that we don't have any key on our keyboard written "Take a screenshot", and that can be frustrating. But with this short tutorial, that will no more be a problem. So lets get started with this quick and easy steps to achieve your goal.

USING THE WINDOWS KEY AND PRT SC KEY ON YOUR KEYBOARD

1. PRESSING THE WINDOWS KEY AND PRT SC KEY ON YOUR KEYBOARD

· By holding down the windows key and the print screen (Prt sc) key you will be able to capture your entire desktop. The size of the image will be the same as that of your desktop resolution.

· You will see your desktop will go blank for a second that is the indication that you have taken a screenshot of the desktop. The image will be automatically saved to a folder called Screenshots in your Pictures directory.

· I think this is the best way to take a full screenshot of your desktop. But what if you would only want to take a section of the desktop, just keep reading to find out.

Note: You might need to press the function key (fn) to access the Prt sc key.

USING THE ALT KEY AND PRT SC KEY ON YOUR KEYBOARD

1. PRESSING THE PRT SC ONLY

· This will capture your entire desktop screen and copy it to the clipboard. After pressing it you will need to paste it in an editor to see it.

· I recommend Paint for this job which automatically comes with our windows Pcs just open the program and press ctrl + v or click paste from the editor. You can now crop or write or do more editing on your image from here.

ü Note: This method will not give any sign to notify you that your screenshot has been taken.

2. PRESSING THE PRT SC KEY AND ALT KEY

This can be used in two ways

· To capture an entire screen:

This can be done by click on the desktop (that is making sure no window is selected or active) and then holding down ALT key and pressing the Prt sc key.

· To capture only one window:

This can be done by selecting one of the window (that is click on one of the window so that it appears to be on top of others) and then holding down ALT key and pressing the Prt sc key.

The image will be copied to the clipboard. You can now open your editor and paste it there.

ü NOTE: You will not receive a sign to notify you that the image has been captured.

USING THE SNIPPING TOOL

The snipping tool is another great way to take screenshots on a windows system.

· First go to your start menu and use the search bar to search for snipping tool or just start typing snipping tool as soon as you go to your start menu.

· Select the program and you will see something like this.

Click on the arrow by the side of new to select the type of snip you want. Rectangular snip is selected by default.

ü NOTE:

i) "Free-form Snip" allows you to draw any shape to be snipped on the screen with your mouse. The snipped area is the one inside the shape.

ii) "Rectangular Snip" allows you to snip a rectangular shape.

iii) "Window Snip" allows you to select a window to snip.

iv) "Full-screen Snip" snips the whole screen and all the windows (except the Snipping Tool window).

· Once you select the type of snip you want the screen will automatically fade for you to draw out the snip or you might have to press new to start the snip.

· If you selected full screen snip your snip will be automatically created as soon as you select it or click new.

· After drawing your snip it will automatically open in a new window. From there you can save the snip or you can still edit it by using the pen or highlighter to write or highlight some part of it.

ü NOTE:

If you notice a red border in your snip and you don’t want it, just open the snipping tool and click options. Then uncheck the box written “Show selection ink after snips are captured”.

· When you are done you can always save it by clicking on the save icon and then giving it a name. You might also choose to change the format to save it.

iPhone 7 Expectations, Release date and Rumours

The Californian tech giant has announced that it will be hosting an invent on the 7th of September, at 10am local time, which is the first Wednesday of the month at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. It is speculated that Apple will be revealing the next iPhone at the event next week. Well there has been a lot of rumours about what the next iPhone will be bringing to the table. So this is just what we expect from the next iPhone and the rumours we have gathered from different sources out there, so don’t get to sure about what we will be given here.

· The iPhone 7 is expected to launch with 4.7inch and 5.5inch sizes which is expected to be called the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus,

respectively.

· It is also expected to have a similar design with the existing iPhone 6S and 6S Plus but might be a little different.

· A better battery life is also been speculated, but Jony Ive's comments have made it plain that Apple doesn't consider a higher battery life to be worth significant sacrifices in other areas.

· A larger, improved camera is also expected onthe iPhone 7, plus a dual-camera system exclusive to the larger the iPhone 7 Plus which will be to snap SLR quality photos and 3D images.

· Wow this would be so great. The pain of having your iPhone get wet might soon end with the iPhone 7, coming from reports from China-based Commercial Times. An Industrial designer by name Herman Haidin has also predicted that the new iPhone will be made of a material called liquid metal, which is a type of alloy tougher and more water-resistant than typical aluminium.

· The iPhone 7 is expexted to launch without the normal 3.5mm headphone jack. This is speculated to be replaced by a Lightning-to audio dongle.

· Another rumour has it that the iPhone 7’s home button will be flush with the device and will not be a mechanical button as we have seen in the previous iPhones. It has it that the iPhone 7 home button may utilize a series of sensors that will vibrate when pressed, which will make it seem like the button has been pressed.

· There has also been rumours claiming that the lowest memory capacity we will see in the new iPhone is a 32GB storage and options for 128GB and even 256GB storage.

HOW TO CREATE WIRELESS HOTSPOT ON WINDOWS 8

A wireless hotspot (wifi hotspot) has become a basic necessity in our life, because we need to connect our devices together to share information, and windows 8 users normally find it difficult to achieve this since there is no button that says push this to activate wifi hotspot. In this tutorial am going to solve that issue by showing the easiest way that can be accomplished on a windows 8 computer.

First go to search bar and type “command prompt” right click it when it appears and select run as administrator because you need administrator privileges to create your wifi hotspot.

The administrator window should look like this

Type “netsh wlan show drivers” on the command prompt window. This lets you know if you have the capability to create a wifi hotspot with your system

It now shows you your drivers and check if your hosted network says “YES”

Now you can go on with your work. Type “netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode = allow ssid = iaadCorp key = ovuobaSampson” then press the “enter key” you should see a window similar to this. NOTE: “iaadCorp” is your hotspot name which you can set to anything you wish while “ovuobaSampson” is your hotspot password which you can also set to anything you wish which must be up to or more than 8 characters long.

Ok now type “netsh wlan start hostednetwork”

Well done, now you have created your wireless hotspot. If you have errors like “the hosted network couldn’t be started”.Try troubleshooting your network adapter by going to control panel -> network and internet -> network and sharing center-> change adapter settings(by the side bar) now right click on your wifi and choose diagnose and then after that, attempt starting the hostednetwork OR go to the control panel, then search for device manager in the search bar and then find your network adapter and disable and enable the network adapter and try starting again .

Now if no issues go to the search bar and type control panel and open the control panel. Then click “view network status and tasks”

Ok, now by the side bar choose “change adapter settings”

Next, look for the device you use to connect to the internet . I am currently using an Airtel broadband connection using a Huawei 3G modem, so I right click and select properties

Next, select the sharing tab and check the box that says “Allow other users to connect through this computer’s internet connection”. Also Select a network from the drop down list make sure that it is identical to the hosted network you just created (wifi hotspot). Then click Ok. You can now be able to detect and share your internet connection with your device.

When you are done you can close the hosted network by simply running the command prompt with administrator privileges and then type this “netsh wlan stop hostednetwork”

If you don’t like this you can always download apps that will help you create a wifi hotspot in one click, so try any.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Review (Access with just your eyes)

The smartphone giants at a press event unveiled its latest phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which is Samsung’s first smartphone with an iris scanning technology. A dedicated sensor which is an infrared transmitter and receiver for iris scanning can be found at the top of the Galaxy Note 7.

The company announced that the phablet will allow you to make mobile purchases using the iris scanner (isn’t that just amazing) and also that it’s impossible to trick the device with a photo.

But they also revealed that the iris scanner will make use of its Samsung Pass feature to securely open certain apps, mostly those with your financial info. Samsung Pass is a feature which the company intends to use to replace your usernames and passwords, and for not only financial apps but other app, documents and folders. The smartphone also supports the fingerprint authentication method.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has similar features with the Galaxy S7 Edge, including a 12mp camera at the back, 4GB of RAM, an IP68 rating allowing it waterproof to depths of 1.5m for 30 minutes and 64GB of storage with a microSD card slot for more memory.

Its S-pen stylus is waterproof, that is you can write on the screen even when wet and also when the smartphone is asleep without having to wake it up. It is now more sensitive having a 4,096 pressure sensitivity levels.

It is the first Samsung smartphone to use the new USB-C connector and it also has fast charging.
