Caffeine and sugar are triggers for the      nervous system. Caffeine is a stimulant, so if you are already an anxious      person then adding more caffeine to your body is only going to make      problems worse. As far as sugar, it causes spikes and dips in your blood      sugar levels. When your blood sugar starts to drop, your body releases adrenaline      to combat that. Therefore, your heart starts to race and you start your      experience the feelings of anxiety. The only way to overcome caffeine and      sugar is to not have them in your diet at all. Instead of simple sugars,      opt for fruits and complex carbohydrates. You do not need caffeine to give      yourself energy.</li>

<li> Exercise:      as much as we all hate to hear it, exercise is one of the key components      to combating anxiety. Often, the anxiousness that we feel is built-up      adrenaline that hasn&#8217;t been able to be burned off in the body.
