Donald Trump, Affliction Entertainment and M-1 Global have anounced plans to begin filming a new, ground-breaking MMA reality series called "Fighting Fedor." The show's theme is to find the next Fedor Emelianenko, by creating an elimination tournament between undiscovered MMA talent, with the winner fighting Fedor himself. Fedor is the star of Affliction Entertainment's new Mixed Martial Arts league.

Versus to air WEC's greatest knockouts

VERSUS will air WEC�??s Greatest Knockouts, an hour-long special that features the hardest-hitting knockouts in WEC history on Wednesday, October 1, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

The special presentation will feature the top knockouts to date in the WEC organization's history and will include three knockouts from the live WEC event on February 13 when Rob McCullough succumbed to Jamie Varner, Leonard Garcia overpowered Hiroyuki Takaya and Yoshiro Maeda put the beat down to Charlie Valencia. Also featured in the hour is �??The All American�?? Brian Stann�??s knockout over Doug Marshall in March 2008, in which Stann claimed the light heavyweight title and two standouts from 2007 including Brock Larson�??s defeat of Kevin Knabjian and Brian Bowles knockout of Marcos Galvao.

UFC, Spike TV rally for U.S. troops

According to a news release, The Ultimate Fighting Championship and Spike TV will put on a three-hour live event on December 10 from Fort Bragg, North Carolina to raise money to build a treatment center for the brave men and women in the United States Armed Forces who have experienced traumatic brain injuries. The facility is being sponsored, built and equipped by the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The announcement was made today by Dana White, UFC President and Kevin Kay, Spike TV President.

Shock, fond memories after death of UFC's Tanner

When former middleweight champion Evan Tanner died this past week, the UFC lost more than a great fighter. Evan Tanner was an inspiration to his fans, a selfless mentor and a loyal friend.

Tanner's body was discovered in a California desert by local police Monday after he embarked on a camping trip by himself. Authorities believe the 37 year old died of heat exposure.

It took years for the legend of Kimbo Slice to rise and just 14 seconds for it to crumble.

Slice was defeated for the first time in an MMA fight by last-minute sub Seth (The Silverback) Petruzelli. Petruzelli caught slice coming in with a short, chopping punch and Kimbo fell face first to the mat.

Affliction billboard hits Big Apple

A billboard promoting the Affliction, "Day of Reckoning," MMA card was unveiled in Times Square in New York City. This is Affliction's second mixed-martial-arts event. The billboard features main event fighters Andrei �??The Pitbull�?? Arlovski (13-5) and his opponent Josh �??The Baby Faced Assassin�?? Barnett (23-5). The card takes place on October 11^th at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, NV, and distributed live on Pay-Per-View.

Spike TV and the UFC have gathered together the marquee members of the first season of �??The Ultimate Fighter,�?? to appear as part of "The Ultimate Fighter 1" marathon featuring all 12 episodes. It airs Saturday, September 13 (9:00 AM �?? 11:30 PM, ET/PT).

Cast members appearing include: Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin, Chris Leben, Stephan Bonnar, Josh Koscheck, Nate Quarry, Kenny Florian, Diego Sanchez, Bobby Southworth, and Mike Swick.
